I have to say that the Sapphire Dragon that Reletless (I'm not sure I spelled his name correctly) did, by editing the Emerald Dragon looks amazing. It's brobably the best designed dragon on the entire game, if not in the entire series!
He looks so much better than the Emerald Dragon. I really recommend you to download the mod (Click here).

My favourite dragon in ..
h1: never played h1, so i dunno
h2: black dragon
h3: azure dragon
h4: ofc the all powerful megadragon
h5: black dragon and magma dragon
ToTE: ofc red dragon
My most favourite dragon of all heroes games is megadragon from h4, if he has wings, he will be the most perfect dragon of all heroes games ever created, fearful looking dragon with very powerful abilities aka arc breath attack.
If i can create a lv 10 dragon, his appearance will be like red winged megadragon with a burning flames of inferno creatures and arc breath attack is a must for him, and another ability to breath random elemental blast of fire, water, lightning, earth, dark/shadow, light and normal element (both magical and physical), he can also combine all of them to create a single united elemental blast for err.. maybe 800% normal damage  . I hope the next heroes game will have a dragon like that as the avatar of chaos dragon.

always liked the black dragons, they were the ultimate army in heroes 3. I started to like them after one battle: I had 20 blackies, the other guy 32 Phoenixes, and I still kept 5 or 6 of them, the phoenix returned 5-10 I don't know exactly. Since then they are my favourite.

H2: Black Dragon (again because of the drake's Power)
H3: Azure Dragon
H4: Bone Dragon (I simply love any undeads here.)
H5: Spectral Dragon ( you must admit it really looks great).

Many people love Black Dragon coz of its Immunity to all spells. Combined with Armageddon spell, they may be best one of the best creature-and-spell combo.
But if we need creature with immunity to Armageddon, why don't we choose the better Magma Dragon? Immunity to all spells makes Black Dragon cannot be rescurrected or affected by any beneficial Light Magic. Magma Dragon has better stats. Even cannot fly, it has Magma Shield.
Magma Dragon for me!!!!

It's more what the creature stands for: Power and Destruction. Magma Dragon has amazing stats plus it has the hero to back them up whit spells and Runes.
Warlocks in other hand fights their own battles and have little time to buff their army at all. If this would be neutral comparison of creatures Black Dragons vs Magma Dragon i would take Black Dragons. Unfortunate in H5 Blackies role aren't that impressive.
