If we say "Best Faction" and rule out any random stuff like Deleb for Inferno, I would also have to go for Warlock. The Destructive Spells hit really hard in early game if you play them right, and the addition of the new invisible Stalker to the line-up is only going to make that even more true.

when tote is realesed i'd also go for dungeon cause the new stalkers r awesome espically their 3-5 dmg,they're better than berserkers 
but for now i voted inferno,cause deleb's ballista is really great,it doesn't need mana which is hard to get at early game,and it can never be destroyed at early game

Id go for academy. Like warlocks they whack all the rest plus they beat warlocks too
If a map contains permanent shackless then necros are the best.

Because of stupid hit and run it just has to be a warlock. Not necessarily paired with dungeon, but it's highly recommended to get: meteor shower - warlock's troops main task is to somehow block something/move somewhere to make this spell as multi-hit as possible.
implosion - to remove the most annoying stack. For example, to kill opponents' shooters and force him to move toward warlock's side.
armageddon - to "suicide" and rehire.

Yeah i hate getting blasted to bits by stupid dungeon...Their definently the best at rushing. Deleb comes second.

Have you played against Stalkers? Or with them? They WASTE a turn to turn invisble. and if you have good memory you know where they stand, then you take a spell(area or single, with single you need to hit exatly right) and hit him hard!!! then he comes out of his little hiding.. They are not great at all...

I LOATHE rushing.
Even more I loathe strategies for factions being based on Rushing.
Besides, I suck at Rushing  I just don't understand how to do it properly. Perhaps that's why I loathe it.

Used to be necro by far. Now it's still one of the best along with academy and dungeon(which wasn't really as good as academy even in 2.1).

To me, A stack of Thanes or Fire/Lava/Magma dragons imbued with the rune that doubles speed is a freakishly kamekazi manouveur. And since I like devastating tactics, Thats me.

yeah,which is why u should have many stacks of stalkers,so the enemy will kill only 2 at max,or have 1 big stack and use blood furies as a trap,if he kills the stalkers the furies will own him if he kills the furies the stalkers will get him ^_^,besides dungeon will prolly be higher in lvl since the new stalkers ease creepin 100% more

..... How is that Rushing? You do know we're talking about early game rushing, right ? You do know that Fortress is the most TERRIBLE at rushing, right? Why are you bringing up Thanes and Magma dragons?
