Well I don’t know you personally so I will be as general about this as possible. Learning and being educated are not synonymous. Learning is something far more significant than being educated. While learning is an unavoidable lifelong experience this same experience is not captured within education.
People that have common sense and lack book smarts (under educated) are the same people that you could lets say, leave alone in a kitchen and not have to worry that they will blowup the house. Those that have no common sense but can figure out what a+2=3 if a is equal to 1, those are practical problem solvers in regards to academic problems. That same practical solver will sometimes not be adept at socializing, getting through life on his/hers own personality, and the fact that they don’t know any better than to fix their pocket protector while rolling bladding through an intersection at thirty miles an hour is enough for me.
You will find that a lot of gamers that have this problem, sitting behind a computer for hours on in thus avoiding getting out and meeting people in a social setting for fear that they will correct someone’s grammar, talk about geek related stuff that no one wants to hear, or just come off as arrogant because they carry themselves as being of a higher intelligence than everyone else. People see that and it is such a turn off.
You see you may be very smart and finding yourself bored in school always looking for that next strategy game in life because the others were too easy before it. You may have people shoving you into counseling and pushing you to be “normal”. My advice is this, look around you and understand that just because you can figure out fancy number problems or the area of a polygon does not make you better.
For you to say that you hate stupid people is a typical ignorant comment from someone that has never sat down with a “stupid” person such the mentally handicap and learned from them some grand life experiences. People that are unwilling to learn to better himself or herself is one thing, but just because someone is not up to your standards does not make them beneath you.
Be the person that others want to be around, don’t be the ‘know it all’ in the back that corrects his friend’s grammar and tells him that he is wrong all the time. People will appreciate your input and intelligence but being a jerk off about it and demeaning others is not the way to live your live, you will find yourself alone looking down the barrel of a shotgun wondering why no one comes around. By the way I only have a ninth grade education and probably would have a hard time figuring out you fancy equations too, but I could still kick your *** and that my friend is what really matters in life.

I agree with you on most points except the last one violet_flower. theres enough thugs out there who can go around kicking people.
I think intellegence is a highly prized trait, Certainly more then brute force, However going around with people and being their friend is important as well, you can learn a lot from such people.
But if you dont want to either that fine. You shouldnt force upon yourself a personality you dont have. If you like being reclusive thats fine as far as anyone else should be concerned
And well were taing it too far methinks. Saying he hates stupid people isnt the same as saying he doesnt think he can learn anything from them
Edit: You can learn what not to do from afar though.

If you state that you hate them then the assumption is you will never get close enough to them to learn anything. Oh by the way the *** beating part was humor and nothing more, here let me put a smiley face by it so no one freaks out and sends me hate mail.

I wouldn't necessarily say that intelligence and logic mean nothing. Intelligence and logic are God-like axioms for progressing to a certain level of skillcraft. Whichever very specific profession one decides to apply him or herself will have a set of guidelines to follow. There will be tests to take and only very specific answers allowed. Here in a very small and almost insignificant direction of thought one must have intelligence and logic.
In the grand scheme of things who really cares if you were able to write html codes? Who cares if you're the smartest at matrixes? Who really cares if you scrub the floors in such a way as to make them reflect your image? I used to be a paramedic in the military. When we were tested on the national level it was a multiple choice test where only four answers were possibly allowed. The only hint we were given by the EMT national board who writes the tests was this: "There will always be at least two correct answers. You must choose the more correct of the two."
How will my ability to score the answer that they have chosen on that specific test at that specific time (over ten years ago) enable me to settle disputes with my neighbors or teach my children that war is never the correct answer to any dispute? How will it enable me to teach my son that he should not ever beat his wife?
Intelligence and logic will help you get a very specific set of skills for a specific job. I don't think they are something that will make you happy.

lol you could look at it the way thats theres a numerous number of them . but id beleive theres actualyl far less intellegent people then there are thugs. even if the percentege of intellegent people is still qutite high

If, upon reading this, you still went ahead and told Miru something along the lines of that he is not better than anyone else, take a step back and think about it. Although, Miru, you're not really unique or even part of a small minority. There is a metric arseload of people who have better retention and intuition than the average person, and have trouble understanding why other people seem slower or even thick. It might help to talk to someone quicker on the draw than you are. There isn't really a better way to put that feeling of disparity to rest than to experience the perspective.

Well I think I've found who it is I like, and a better word than stupid. Actively thinking. I've had dumb friends, but when you talk to them, they think before they respond. People who have been spoon fed their religion since the age of 3, but would otherwise not listen to any other opinion are useless. When you argue with someone and they have no clue what you (or they) are saying, and repeat themselves. People who go with the flow, buy brand name shoes because the media tells you to. I call them drones of the media, rednecks call them flatlanders, I'm sure there are other names, but they are all the same thing. Useless shells, who think by going to college, filling up high school, and sitting in an office all day is productive. I would say they should all do manual labor, but there's just too many.

Miru, I'm not entirely sure what this thread is about. Is it just a rant about your annoyance of percieved "stupid people?" Perhaps you're just trying to justify some notion that your special or better than other people? I'm not sure where you get off calling people drones. What have you ever done in your life that would distinguish yourself?
