The Human Development Index (HDI), published annually by the UN, ranks nations according to their citizens' quality of life rather than strictly by a nation's traditional economic figures. The criteria for calculating rankings include life expectancy, educational attainment, and adjusted real income.
Sweden is #2, which is pretty cool. Our neighbour country Norway is #1, and they are pretty similar to us except they have oil 
This top 20 list might be interesting for people to see where their coutry has placed in the race for quality of life. It sure feels good living in the #2 country Weeee! (the United Nations say so - its scientifically documented)

This finally proves that Australia is a better place to live than the US and the UK. Thats why we have so many people living in Australia who come from other countries.

anyhoo, wasnt Sweeden first last time? or the time before.. either way, Im glad Canada stopped slipping. I wouldnt mind seeing the past results, cause ive always been told we were at the top as a child, but never looked into it.

But last time I checked Macedonia was 60th. Boy, that's bad. You bloody exploitators!

Norway the best country in the world?Bah,I don't belive a word of it.Our incomes aren't half-bad I suppose,but the living costs....don't get me started.Sometimes I think the goverment takes 80% of my pay.Then I come to my senses and realize its more like 90%
