Shagrath shook and fought into sitting position. A few stood still, but most had fell. He were amazed that something that powerful had attacked him and drained him of his powers. But he had lost control once more, lost it and attacked people. He didn't remember anything of it, it was like everything was covered in fog. He breathed deeply and looked around. Once again his sight were blurred, just like last time he had lost control. But this time he were far from not regaining the control again, he were close to killing some of his friends. He tried to seek out any enemies, but saw that most of them had been burned alive. Then he met Gemini's eyes, and it seemed like he understood what Shagrath thought. Shagrath was something far beyond any normal mutant; he were becoming powerful as Ironclad and the Geminis themselves, or even beyond that. And in return; the powers possessed him and he lost the control. He were turning into a threat, into an enemy. The enemy he had fought for so long time now.

Mindreaver felt weaker but otherwise intact. He should have seen that coming, Alex had not acted in a while - he was actually thinking about that when he felt the draining. Focusing his attention to Shagrath he felt that the other presence that had possessed him earlier was gone and walked up to him.
"I expect you have some explanation for all this."

Shagrath nodded and gave him a sad smile.
"Get the others over here and I will tell all of you what happened to me while I was gone." he whispered, "I am afraid I am more dangerous to everyone now, including myself."
Mindreaver shouted for the others to come over, and they gathered around him in a circle. He looked at some of them, those he had hurt. The others he didn't let his gaze rest on, he simply skipped them.
"Thug, a cyborg, saved me from a lab where I were kept." he began, choosing his words carefully. "They had been experimenting on me, testing my powers to see if they could tame it. Which they have, eventually. They extracted it from me, and created other mutants from normal humans. Mutants that have my powers." he paused. "The powers I had. I am more powerful now, too powerful. I and Thug went to the place where Sweden used to be, to fight a pack of rebels there. It turned out it was planned, in case I escaped the lab. They destroyed Thug, and took me once again. I don't know how they did it, but they made some kind of material around me to hinder me from using my fire. But eventually, it went wild. They had already experimented on me, putting chemicals I have no idea was, into my body. They didn't drug me, it seemed like they wanted my reaction on the pain. I began to heal quicker, the wounds they made were gone within a short time." he looked at the Gemini. "If not for that I would still be unconscious. When the fire went wild I ruined the whole lab, but the professors escaped with the extraction of my DNA. That's why there were mutants here with my powers. But I am stronger too, I have some kind of mental powers, my fire are stronger ... and it also seem different from normal fire now."
"I noticed the mental powers." Mindreaver said blackly.
"Yes, I am sorry about that. As you maybe saw; the powers were too much for me. The first time, by the animals, I were just left weakened. This time my body set up a defense mechanism, and I lost the control. I didn't use the power, the power used me." he took a deep breath again, thinking what he should say. "As a matter of fact, I am far more powerful now than ever. But when the power unleashes itself, I lose the control of it and it consumes everything. I attack anyone that's close to me; both friend and foe."

"Yeah I had a hunch. But what now? I don't know if we can risk you going berserk again, is there some way to prevent it from surfacing? If you remember what happened then a part of yourself is still present when you lose control."

"Most of it is like it's covered in fog ... but yes, of course a part of me is still there. If not I would not have returned to normal, like I am not. I don't know how to prevent it, though. You will just have to try using your mental power to help me focus if I ever have to use my powers again. The more I use them, the more unstable they seem to get. I am afraid that next time I lose the control, I may not be able to regain it." Shagrath said.

Problem Child looks over Shagrath shoulder and says without moving his eyes from the spot:
"Guys, I hate to interrupt a good story, but those bad people behind you are coming to their senses as well. I suggest we use this little moment of peace to get the drained and the wounded in the car and get back to the base as fast as possible. That way we also won't have to worry about Shagrath unleashing his powers again. So, unless someone has a better idea, we better start moving."

I grab Shagrath by the shoulder and start for the car. I turn to Problem Child. "Let's hurry, see who else you can help and we're out of here. We have to inform the world about what happened here, somebody get the Ironclad robot's remains."

Everybody but Malice and Steam has evacuated. Steam radios Malice. "Since we don't have to worry about hitting any," he coughs "friendlys, and these here seem to be having a bit of trouble getting organized. Why don't we make a few less Mega members?" he says with an evil laugh. Malice and he were high in the sky, above the drain of Gemini. He flies over the Mega memebers and starts bombing them with fire.

Everybody has been safely evacuated and taken to the renegade base. Atomic must have been hit hard, because he is the only one that remains unconscious. Ghost still is having some difficulties from being solid, but should be ok. Neither she nor Stargazer are saying much.
When Alexia wakes, she looks around, and it suddenly dawns on her what had happened. She looks at Alex, who averts his gaze. "It's ok Alex, you did the right thing. I was out of control. In fact...I think it is time."
Alex replies. "Are you sure?"
Alexia nods. "Once the antivirus is uploaded, and this hunk of junk exposed to the world, it will be over. It's time for full retirement. Before I accidently hurt somebody...again. Can't believe after over a thousand years it still bothers me like that..."
Alex coughs "It's ok sis. I think your right though. It's time we both retired. Most likely Ironclad will too, after this fiasco."

Malice snickers evilly with the view of those MEGA troops at the ground. She bite her lips depicting excitement and lusciousness as if those people below are a grand buffet of delicious foods.
"This is tasty!" She muttered to herself following another grin.
She immediately grab the controller and boosts her gundam into a strategic position where she thinks she could aim perfectly - and kill many. She then aimed the crosshair below where MEGA troops are thick. Her thumb is trembling as she placed it above the button of the missile launcher, but it trembles not of fear but of elation since she desired to see action through destruction. And with a blink of an eye, she pushed the button.
"Incoming!" she said over the com but not to warn Steam of her move, It's just because she cannot control the agitation inside her.
The gundam's right shoulder opened, four huge missiles left their bays with a screeching sound and rushed towards the targeted MEGA troops. But before they hit the ground, Malice launched another set, this time from the left shoulder of her gundam. Now, eight missiles are directed to the MEGA troops on the ground.

The explosions rock the ground, and the Mega troops are incenerated. In the initial attack 75% of the ones that had survived are destroyed. The rest are too injured to even put up a good defense, especially after being drained.

Back at the base
Newsflash- The scientific community was shocked today when multiple unidentified flying objects entered earth's sensor range. Indications are that there are at least two seperate groups, and a battle took place not far from earth. Several damaged ships crashed landed in the swiss alps, the battle continues to rage in space. Neither side has yet tried to contact us, nor explain what they are doing here. More as events unfold. In other news Ironclad has stepped down from MEGA, announcing one Wyldecard as his successor. To quote the unusual mutant "Whoa, dude? Are you serious? Like, harsh, don't know if I am like the leading type."

"I guess that means Brainchild was right... *sigh* future, mutants, maniacal robots and now aliens... I really miss our hippie hangouts... speaking of hippies - I think MEGA is going to act quite differently from now on, maybe they can even join forces with the Rebels for good...
Anyway, we have an imposter Ironclad to reveal to the world, crazy Shagrath to neutralize and aliens to deal with. Which leads to two questions:
1. Did I leave something out?
2. Does anyone have a idea as to what to do with all this?"

Varjo enters the HQ with Lumi, the wolf.
"Ironclad imposter shouldn't be a problem. Without M.E.G.A. and his powers he is next to powerless. Nothing but a heap of scrap metal.
M.E.G.A. and Wylde should be offered an alliance. He'll take it. Aliens should be investigated and contacted.
Diplomatic relations should be established and their technology researched while preparing for the thruth that in war those in the way have a tendency to suffer. Defcon should be raised and mobilization should be ordered since nothing is known about these aliens.
Someone should be sent to keep an eye for CoED. They might try to beat us to the aliens.
As for Shagrath...
...he should be sent to and anger management course, his powers should be neutralised or a bullet should be put through his head.
Yes, where's the food in here? I'm starving."
There's an uneasy silence.
"I'll see for myself then.
Ah, steakes. Mmm...
This is good.", Varjo manages to mutter through devouring the food.
"So, are you up for a 'learn yoga in an hour' o fiery one?"

Shagrath looked over at him, eyes gleaming red. His powers had continued evolving, although he kept it silent. He were in demon-form now, he had been the last hours because he had no choice. He couldn't become a human, and his mind also lost the part that was human.
"I won't go to any anger management crap." he snarled, although he didn't mean to. "I will learn to control this, just as I learned to control the fire and demon body."
He closed his eyes and sighed.
"I need to rest." he hissed, "Please be silent, I need to sleep for a while."
Then he lay down and closed his eyes.

Stargazer watched and listened. "First, I suspect we will need to elect a leader before anything. With the Gemini's retirement, we will need somebody to coordinate. Also, if the aliens are hostile, I doubt we are going to get their tech from them to study. A diplomatic envoy should be sent. I'll volunteer if everybody else is afraid of getting vaporized. Also, we have no control over defcon or anything else to do with the government. The government listened to Ironclad because they feared him, Wylde will have less of a impact on what the government does. We could send somebody to talk to them however."
She trembles as she talks, not looking at anybody. It may be rage or shock, it's hard to tell. Her voice is steady however. "One more thing..is it too much to ask that we remember we are supposed to be the good guys? I'm not saying that we have to rescue kittens from trees or help little old ladies accross the street. We should, however, keep the killings and maimings to a minimum.."

Shagrath were on his feet at once, his face twisted with sustained anger.
"You tell us not to kill those who try to kill us?" he snarled.
Stargazer looked at him and nodded.
"If you can try to do something else, something ... more gently." she said, "And you are not going out there again, if you lose control again it may be fatal."

A sigh of relief passes Stargazers lips.
"Aliens are another matter. They are an unknown factor. We have to be prepared for anything.", Varjo continues.
Stargazers relief seems to vanish.
"We should try a diplomatic approach."
"Yes I agree about the envoy.The envoy should look organised and disciplined. Not like a mob like we do now. Uniforms or such are needed.
As for what comes to the technology, who said anything about asking them? There should be a few specialist with the envoy. Also if ghost is well enough to travel she should be on the envoy. Knowledge is power.
Also in case they are hostile it should also be capable of handling the situation before reinforcements get there. It will also need a leader.
As do we.
A vote?"
Heads are nodded around.
"If someone would signal the Gundam chick. I think a vote should be kept as soon as she gets here."

Another group should check with the extraterrestrials, last thing we need is unnecessary hostilities. Problem Child would be ideal for this job and I would gladly accompany him. Also I would like to apply for the party's leadership if you would have me."
The Gemini retirement sparks a flashback. Thoughts of a promise made not long ago flash in the illusionist's mind. Maybe they hold the solution to its fulfillment, he should have a word with them.

"Dudes, I still can't get enough of this thing. Look, I can even order a burger with it! *munch munch*
Anyway, a leader you say? A leader is good. I think you mean a leader for the Rebels now that the Gemini stepped of. That raises up a few questions: Does that mean you all decided to join the Rebels? What of our little group of the chosen ones? Did we fulfill our mission when we found the imposter? And if so, what do we do now? Just to clarify things, I'm still not sure I want to join the Rebels, sure I'll help if I can, but my main mission right now is to find a way to get back to my time... this stuff is just too freaky for me...
As for our next step, seeing the aliens might be nice, but I'm not sure if I'm the best choice for it, and I'm deffinetly not going to change my cool threads for a uniform! Besides, I'd much rather meet this Wylde dude and see if he's alright."
