Before Jorn could respond the whole area lit up. MEGA shock troops, wearing full biomechanical enchancement suits, and weilding neutralizer weapons crash through windows and doors. One of them shouts. "Everybody DOWN! Jorn Saber, you are under arrest for conspiracy to commit treason! Come out from wherever you are."
Rose calls the others bases, and leaves the image running, but does not address the people on the other end yet. She turns to Ghost. "You know dad, grab him and get him away. Something is wrong. Something serious. He won't want to leave..but make him."
Indeed something is horribly, horribly wrong. Anybody that they come accross they are shooting, no questions, no giving them time to surrender.

With Fate still in my arms and Victor at my heels we arrive to the closest crew quarters. 6 Bodies and 2 unconcious ones who are al ready being restricted. No casualties. Only a few lightly injured ones. I let Fate down and nod to one of the female officers to take care of the kids. Then I turn to sergeant Acavar:
"Sergeant!", he salutes me.
"Commander", I salute him back.
"At ease. Report."
"8 unidentified assailants managed to sneak up on us and attcked us. If Miss Taliarroco hadn't woken up in time she'd be a head shorter now. As would a lot of us others. Battle was short and simple. The enemy seemed untrained and reckless. Managed to capture two. No mentionable casualties.", I nod.
"Thank you, sergeant. I need a few of your men to do a sweep of the base.", I take a look at Payne, who's still trembling.
"I'll take Buzz along and head to the rest of the living quarters. I'll leave the rest of the base to your hands.", he salutes and turns to the rest of the people. I motion Buzz to come with me.
We reach the other living quarters without any confontations. The situation looks pretty similar there. 7 assailants, 6 dead, 1 prisoner. Only small injuries. I address Buzz.
"Take a report on what happened here.", he turns to me and nods.
"Okay. Where are you going?"
"It's "Yes, sir!" and that's not your place to ask. Am I clear?"
"Yes, sir!"
Now. How the hell did those enemies get in? What's the guard team doing? And where's Bloodmage with the Taiji twins? He better have a good explanation to this. Pipsquek was probably on the roof when this began, why didn't it do anything? These and a lot of other questions run through my mind as I search for bloodmage through the complex. We have to get those communicators up soon...

Before Jorn and do or say anything he feels the touch of Ghost and is taken to some place safe.
He turns to Ghost and says:
" what the hell was you thinking?
I was about to speak up and give myself up for the team."
She turns and looks at him dead in the eye.
"Rose told me to..And you know for a fact that wouldn't have worked.
They would most likely have killed them and taken you anyhow."
Jorn snaps his fingers and heads for the communtions center and turns in and watches what's going on.
Then he looks at ghost.
"Ghost if you can go and follow them and let me know where they take them.If you will please."
he smiles

Overlord watched the transmission for a little longer and turned it off. He sat down on his bed, reinforced especially to hold his heavy armor, and thought to himself:
Looks like we're not the only one having fun here. So, that Paladin His face cringes under the helm as he thinks of that warrior of light, is really a traitor. Can't say I'm surprised, I had a bad feeling about him right from the start. Not that I care about this whole M.E.G.A. thing, but I really hate traitors. Anyway, a scum that he may be that Jorn guy is no pushover, why did they sent regulars to fight him? They don't stand a chance. Me on the other hand... I've got all I need right here Overlord pats his sword I can take that undead bastard... even if I have to cut him into little pieces to do it. Just like I did to so many others in the past...
Overlord's gaze starts wondering off, but stops at the girl.
Everything was so much easier before she arrived. Well, no matter, I'll just hide her somewhere near me before the really tough battles, anyway I'm not going to let some spirit to stop me from shedding blood... lots and lots of blood. So it's settled - tomorrow I'll set out to the Paladin's base and see to it that he doesn't escape. I should probably take Bolt with me though, he's a good warrior and might be a great deal of help to me... come to think of it, it will be a good real combat situation for all those rookies... but for now, we all should rest.
And so it was that the next morning Overlord assembled the teams and told them that a traitor has been found in the M.E.G.A. organization ans since they already had their first battle he deems them qualifies enough to tag along and help him get that traitor. He left Rev in charge of the base and took over as the commanding officer of Bolt's and Arcahic's team. And when all the preparations were finally made the group of mutants consisting of Overlord and the girl, Malice and five new recruits started their way to Jorn Saber's base.

With the teleportation devices available it took mere moments for the Overlords team to arrive. No sign of Jorn, but MEGA is crawling all over the place. Many unconscious people lay on the ground, tranquilized by the invading forces. As soon as Overlord's group arrives they are surrounded by neutralizers and tranquilizer darts. All pointing right at them.
"This group is ok, stand down." announces Wylde. He approaches. "I am glad you are here, you can help us find and detain the traitor. We have proof that he hired a large number of normals to attack the different MEGA bases. We prefer him .. in one peice so he can tell us why, but if not that is ok by me." ((Even Overlord can tell something is odd about Wylde, though he doesn't know why or what)).
Team Varjo - You find Bloodmage, and Pipsqueak. You over hear the following conversation. "There is .. something here. Something has tampered with the natural laws of this place. With magic. They are strong, I will need a lot of blood to strip their defenses and find out what happened."
"Use mine, trust me..a little will go a long way. This is my fault, and I must correct it. I should have felt, seen, or heard something..."
Meanwhile your communicator buzzes. It is Buzz. "Sir, you are not going to like this. None of the guards seen or heard anything. The gangs just walked past them and they noticed nothing. Lots of wounded, no dead, but I think we just got lucky."

I walk to Pipsquek and Bloodmage.
"That won't probably be necessary Pipsquek we have a good amount of it around al ready.", they turn to me and hastily salutes.
"Commander!", I nod at them.
"Yang go get Buzz and Sergeant Acavar and form a rapid response unit. Gear up for assault and await my command.", she salutes.
"Yes, Sir!", and takes off.
"Pipsquek go get Payne. Ying go fetch the prisoners from primary living quarters. We meet at the secondary living quarters in twenty.", they salute.
"Yes, Sir!", and leave.
"Lieutenant, you're with me."
We make our way to the secondary living quarters.
"From here on everyone is odered to move to the primary living quarters and stay there untill further notice. Move it people!", as everyone starts to scramble I address Bloodmage.
"When they are gone start interrogating the prisoner and the other two when Ying gets here. Use the old fashioned way.", he salutes.
"Yes, Sir!", I go to the command center to check if others have had similar problems. Bloodmage will be able to kill two birds with one stone, get the information and the blood he needs. If this is really magic it might have broken out from the other universe when we warped between them. If we really did cause a rift between the universes when we did that travel during the space fight we might be in dire situation. It is also possible that someone found the nexus on his own. That might not be any better.
I reach the command center and notice there's been a video feed. I play it with increased speed and note the mainlines. Hmm, that isn't like Wylde at all. Well Overlord seems to be there now. I have to take care of things here first. I head back to Bloodmage.
The others are there when I arrive. Bloodmage has finished his interrogation and the floor waves with blood. Ying seems uneasy with this, so does Pipsquek. I put my hand on the boys shoulder.
"That's good. It shows you're still human. But don't let it become a burden. We need you to imbue Lieutenant.", I say in a low, confident voice. He swallows and nods. I turn to Bloodmage.
"Lieutenant, what have you found out?", he salutes.
"Commander. Not much. They seem to be pretty oblivious to how things work or why. Seem like hired thugs but they don't seem to have everything right in the head.", I nod.
"Is this enough?", he nods.
"Should be, sir.", I nod again.
"Good, if not we can use Payne. In dire need also Pipsquek. Ying will be your lucky charm in this.", I take a small break.
"Okay people, get started."

*Jorn is sitting back in his chair and watching and Listening to them.
Wondering if they realize that no one has cut off the Video feeds yet.
He laughs
he thinks to himself.
So they are tring to frame me for being a trader.
That means someone or something thinks i am a threat to them or it*
"aha"
*Jorn then heads off to the transporter room and tring to lock in on his team and tries to teleport them to safty.*

Bloodmage finishes up his work and he looks paler then usual. "We are not where we should be. We are not even near the earth as we know it, we have crossed through the Nexus, and are actually now inside it. This is not our home world, though it look a lot like it. The reason nobody saw or heard anything was that they were already here! While we slept..something took us to them!"

Overlord listens to the clearly different Wylde and thinks to himself:
Well, that is a definitely surprise - the no good bum has finally realized we're in a war here. Good timing too, now I can unleash my fury with much more freedom in my hands.
He turned to his team:
"ALRIGHT, TEAM, WE'VE GOT ORDERS TO FIND AND CATCH THE FORMER LEADER OF THIS - JORN THE VAMPIRE PALADIN. ORDERS ARE TO BRING HIM ALIVE IF POSSIBLE... IN OTHER WORDS - KILL HIM IF HE GIVES TOO MUCH TROUBLE! HOWEVER, MAKE NO MISTAKE - JORN IS A WORTHY OPPONENT AND SHOULD NOT BE TAKEN LIGHTLY. SO, WE'LL SPLIT UP INTO TWO GROUPS: TEAM A - MALICE, RIPPLE, WAIL AND NX AND TEAM B - MYSELF, THIS GIRL, BOLT AND ARCAHIC. THE TEAMS WILL SCOUT THE AREA IN SEARCH FOR ENEMY TROOPS. MALICE, SHOULD YOUR TEAM FIND JORN HIMSELF, HIDE AND WAIT FOR ME. YOU HAVE ALL TRAINED TO FIGHT AS TEAMS AND ALREADY PROVED YOURSELVES LAST NIGHT. SO I EXPECT YOU ALL TO FIGHT LIKE TRUE WARRIORS TODAY. TO BATTLE!!!"
With those words Overlord raised his sword and lit on fire for a few seconds. After that he lowered he sword again and the two teams spread out to comb the compound for Jorn and his subordinates.

Ghost reports back to Jorn. "I have no idea what is going on here, but we are not in Kansas anymore. MEGA is being ran by a mad man that certainly looks like Wylde, but isn't. The Gemini twins are dictators that rule with an iron fist, and the city we are in seem to be all that is left of our world. Outside the city appears to be a maze of some sort made of stone."

Overlord - Your team reports back, the place is empty. Every inch has been looked over. Wylde seems..upset at the news. "Find him, wherever he is hiding. Kill him."
Jorn - "All I did was shift you to like me, not solid. We should be exactly where we were. But we are not, and the others are not either. I don't know what is going on..but it appears only the people in the 4 towers are from our native dimension.."
Bear looks at you. "Brain would know what is going on..I don't know where she is right now though."

Overlord looks at Wylde and lets out a creepy laugh.
"IF YOU WANT HIM DEAD, THEN KILL HIM I SHALL! CONTACT ME IF YOU HAVE ANY INFORMATION ON HIS WHEREABOUTS." He turns to his team, "WARRIORS, WE ARE HEADING OUT OF THE BASE TO SEARCH FOR THE TRAITOR JORN, HE COULDN'T HAVE GOTTEN TOO FAR. ONWARD!"
And so, Overlord, the poor girl, Malice, Bolt, Wail, Ripple, Arcahic and NX left the base in search of Jorn and his accomplices. What they found outside the walls, however, was far from what they expected...
