The two of them were stunned by the hologram that had appeared before them. And even the image had faded their eyes were still stuck in the direction where it showed up. Their body froze before the meteorite and it seems unwilling to move. Steam was staggered because of fear that the meteorite might emit something dangerous while Malice was amazed of the view making her more curious.
“What was that?!” Steam asked backing off a bit from the meteorite.
Though she had no idea what it really was, Malice still finds a way to explain things, “A… some sort of vision…” Malice replied with uncertainty. She holds Steam telling to stay still, “I assume the meteorite wanted to tell us something, a message perhaps.”
Steam turn at ease after hearing Malice’s reasoning. But the feeling of caution is still with him. He spun on to Malice expecting to find a suggestion on what to do next. But he only find Malice looking seriously at the meteorite and by her facial expression it can be told that she’s thinking deeply.
Several thoughts rushed through her mind. Several objects helped her build up an analysis – The savage looking animals, the humanoids, a war, different worlds and most of all, the meteorite. Since it is a meteorite, it came from outer space and probably from another planet. Possible planet options where the meteor came from are – the planet of the humanoids; and the planet of the savage looking animals. But based on the hologram, the savages appear to be the one invaded so there is a higher probability that the meteorite came from their planet. And it is also possible that their planet was destroyed. But why the teleport had glitches and why the corn is odd is still a mystery to her.
“I could be wrong,” she murmured. She looked at the corn and then spun back at the meteorite then shrugged in dismay, “There’s so much to analyze.”
Steam looked oddly at her and spoke, “So what now?”
“We need to investigate further,” she informed Steam. “That meteorite is something.”
“Are you sure about it?” Steam spat, “If that’s something then it’s dangerous!”
Malice spun at Steam with an irate expression, “You were the one who suggested checking that meteorite and now you’re backing off?”
“But – “, Steam tried to defend but Malice’s mad voice halted him.
“I want to get closer and check it,” Malice growled as she pushed Steam forward, “Now, you go first!”

Near Mega City Capitol
Varjo has managed to keep up with the Mega squad that has the rest captive. Until they enter a Mega Base that is. With it's security and mutant detection devices a gnat couldn't get inside without being noticed. The only good news is, they are not going anywhere. Now he knows exactly where they are going to keep the rest of the squad.
By estimates there is around 200 individuals inside this base, which means luckily it is one of the smallest. Probably arranging for a pickup from a larger base, however, so one or two days tops before they are taken far out of reach. 6 guards are by the front gate, 2 per 30' along the side gates. They switch out each 30 minutes, but only 2 at a time switch out, in a clockwise manner. There are 4 towers, each with two people in them, one on each corner.
Ironclad's chopper is not in sight, should be several hours before he arrives. It is unclear why he is not using a teleporter. ((See ooc for details of how long Varjo has before the others arrive and how long they have before Ironclad arrives)).
There is motion detectors, infrared sensors, and of course Mutant detection devices. Not to mention Cameras, tanks, and various other goodies. It would pretty much take a full out assult to get in the place. Waiting to night would not be an option as Ironclad would have arrived by then, as well as a transport vehicle, making it near impossible to rescue them.
Problem Child, Gemini 1 and 2, Mindreaver, Bear, Rose, and Jorn Saber (not yet in Electra Soul form) arive on scene (at the time mentioned in ooc).

I have followed the M.E.G.A. squad to a strongly defended M.E.G.A. base. Not a really big one but big enough to hold out against a frontal assault by Rebels or a small army. How did everything end up this way anyway? M.E.G.A. was supposed to be our ally. Surely one death of a civilian they were ready to eliminate a minute ago couldn't have changed that? Something doesn't match here. There's something I'm not seeing here. They started tracking, they reported to HQ, failsafe went of, Stargazer freaked, she got a call, fight started...
She got a call! The look on her face when she got it. I could bet that she was informed about M.E.G.A. not being what we believed them to be. With their cover blown they had no reason to hide it anymore. Maybe M.E.G.A. even trickered that failsafe to keep us from My heart screams when I think that someone like Darkblade was taken prisoner without a fight. knowing where it was coming from. If they know who is behind these people they sure seem purposeful about hiding it. Being ready to exterminate few hundred people to hide it even after their receivers had been neutralised. Only one man could have the authorisation for that,
Ironclad.
Ironclad wouldn't try to hide it unless he was the one to control them or he was trying to harness the powers and technology of anyone who was controlling them for himself. That would be a matter of another time. Now I had to find a way to get them out of there. My heart screams when I think that someone like Darkblade was taken prisoner without a fight. I just hope Ghost hangs on, she might not be able to live for long while made flesh. Her body isn't used to breathing let alone gravity. Her heart wouldn't be able to take it for too long. Not to mention she would have free access to everywhere. She would make the perfect scout and messenger.
I have to find a way to get them out.
The gates were well guarded. No way anyone could get in through them unnoticed. The change of guards could be exploited if the men didn't know each other well. In this case it seemed impossible. Maybe an undercover mission but for that an illusionist would be needed. Four towers but only two men in each. That might be a possible weakness...if deadly force wasn't banned. How on earth do they think they can win a war without casualties? Without that damn order I would have been able to take out the men with the neutralisers and they wouldn't be there in the first place but orders are orders no matter what. All I can do now is survey the base and wait for those reinforcements...

Gobi Desert
The meteor flies past Steam and sort of circles around both he and Malice. Finally it just settles on the ground, innert. Apparently it figures that currently it can not communicate what it wants, so is waiting till it can. From the bunker a loud thump can be heard, then it is quiet again. Two MEGA squad members look toward the area and one says "I don't care if we face courtmartial. This place gives me the creeps, I'm out of here." the other agrees with him and both take off. A few minutes later the whole squad decides there is more interesting things elsewhere and leave, quickly.
Mega Base
Apon arrival the two Gemini's gather everybody together. "Ok, kids gloves off for this one. They have some of our people in there and who knows what they are doing to them. We can't lead this, they know our methods too well. We'll follow your guys lead. Any means neccessary to get our people back."

"I'd gladly help but at best I can affect what people perceive, not trick machines so cameras and detectors are out of my reach. Anyone knows how to bypass them?
Also I'm glad to report that our mission was successful and we got the antivirus. All we have to do is upload it in a computer software and the robots connected are no threat.
Also...Brainchild mentioned something about spacecrafts coming this way, they should be here in seven days. Some are stationed behind Venus. Not sure if it has to do with us but we should keep an eye for the unexpected."

Gemini looks over the base and contemplates what the next move might be. "Problem Child, any chance your powers can alter his power so he can affect machines as well as people? We need to fool the mutant detectors and sensors, or else we might as well just go in powers a blazing."
While he says this a small car arrives. Two people get out of the vehicle. One is dressed in red tinted sunglasses, a three piece suit, and a ponytail. He has the symbol of an atom with a lightning bolt through it on the front of the suit. The other person is dressed like he stepped out of the 60's. Tye dye clothing from neck to feet, he has pink sunglasses and a multicolored headband on. A peace symbol is around his neck.

"So this is the place? What if what we learned is wrong? We're asking for major trouble." he looked around the area as they stepped from the vehicle. Things were deffinately not looking good.
"Yo man, I know it's harsh. Like, the source is ligit. I know it's a bummer, but like we got to shut this place down. Deffinately going to harsh my mellow." the person with him was one of his best friends, but sometimes he hated the laid back attitude.
"Well, then are we ready? Got everything we need?" The good news was that the alarm wouldn't go off until the first explosion. By that time, most of the grid would be down. He still couldn't believe he was about to go against Mega soldiers. If their source was right though, some bad things were going down here.
"Chill, I got what you need. Like, you do realize that like I am not going to be able to be counted on? Like the cosmos brings things to me on a random frequency man."
"That's fine. I should be in and out before they know what hit them. Just make sure to take down the neutralizers. Let me worry about the rest." he started charging his atoms. He would need all the speed he could muster once Wylde set off the first explosion.
"Copacetic man." Wylde headed for the neutralizer control room. One good granade would do. Without a way for them to shut down his power, they wouldn't be able to lay a finger on him.
As soon as the first explosion rocked the base, he was off. Power, communication, and general mayhem would be his goals at first. He'd worry about the rest later.

"That was freaky!" Steam exclaimed.
Malice did not mind him, instead she showed more curiosity. She took one closer look again at the meteorite, then finally, she touched it. The meteorite is very interesting for her. With all those vision that they saw and the motion that the meteorite just did, she won't really let this one go.
"I want this," she mutter as she rub the meteorite with her finger disregarding any hazard that might be brought to her by the celestial body.
She looked at Steam while she points down on the meteorite. Steam looked back at her puzzled. He knows she is very fond of the meteorite, but for now he is totally clueless on what Malice wants. So he just stayed still. Malice's patience snapped out, Steam seems not to understand her. With that she fiercely fixed her eyes onto Steam. Steam still runs clueless.
"Carry this thing!", Malice shouted impatiently.
"What?!" he spat, "Are you out of your mind? That thing is not that important, we could go back for it after we are done with our real mission here."
Steam shockingly explained. Malice anger seems to rise more. She did not even entertained his explanation. Malice rushed towards Steam and grabbed his neck.
"If you don't want to be left here alone powerless, better pick up that thing now!" she threatened Steam.
Steam tried to get free but Malice strength is something he could not deal for now. With her anger on, there is no way he could resist her, also he knows her power and now she has a total connection with him there is really now way to defy her. Steam hopelessly nodded depicting submission. Malice then freed him by pushing him heavily that making Steam fall onto his feet.
He then get up fast but with guilt and his eyes focused sharply on Malice. Malice just ignored the threat and continued her domination. Then after a few seconds of bloody eye contacts, Steam approached the meteorite and brought it up. Malice wins the day.

Steam picked up the meteor cautiously, but it appeared to just be a slightly big rock. He looked around the desert. Trapped in the middle of nowhere with Malice, perfect. Maybe the bunker they seen held the answer. "Well if there is a teleporter within miles here, it is probably in that area." he points to an underground bunker that had been revealed by the meteor thrusting up through the ground. "I don't like the sound of what is inside, but no choice for it. Even I can't fly all the way through this desert. Especially not carring somebody else. I'll check it out first."
He goes inside and after a minute he peeks his head back out. "You have GOT to see this. I think the others have got to know about this pronto."
Inside hundreds of cells and a huge glass like enclosure. Each cell has a creature that has been...changed. Lions, bears, almost every kind of creature immaginable. Most are now humanoid, standing upright. Each has machinery sticking out of various parts of it's body, but especially the head. Small transport devices are linked to each cage. Inside the glass enclosure is a woman in what looks like to be some sort of suspended animimation. Her skin is lightblueish, and she has gills on her neck. She is suspended in air, but by nothing, and her arms are outstretched. She is wearing a long flowing blue dress.
A normal transporter is in the corner, and it appears to be functioning.

The group hears the explosion caused by the granade and then the strange person just seems to turn into a blur. Within a heartbeat the power goes down and you can hear total chaos coming from within. People start just firing blind, at anything that moves, including their own people. Gemini curses and looks at everybody. "Ok plan B."
Both of them start charging into the facility. One is staying behind the other, and things are just bouncing off of the one in front. Guards close in to try to subdue them, but it will take a lot more then that to stop them. The Gemini in front just tosses them around like they were rag dolls. Everybody notices a man with a shoulder rocket launcher take aim at the Geminis. The warhead on the rocket looks odd, but neither seem to notice it.

Malice was surprised on what she saw. She curiously walk inside and gave each interesting piece an eye. Steam followed her also curious on what they just discovered.
"So what do you think?" Steam broke the silence.
"This place," Malice replied, "This appears to be an underground prison."
The blue girl caught Malice's eyes. She slowly walked close to it's cell to get a better view. Steam followed her but a bit disturbed. This kind place doesn't look friendly he assumed.
"Hey," he called up Malice, "Don't go closer, we don't know if it's safe."
Malice just disregarded Steam's caution and continued walking close to the cell. They have forgotten about the transporter.

The woman in the glass looks serene and at peace. She has an unearthly beauty. The glass is no ordinary glass, and seems to be made out of an unusual crystaline material. There seems to be no entrance, door or otherwise. How the woman was placed into the glass is a mystery. As you are looking at the figure, you hear a humming sound and one by one the creatures in the cages start vanishing. Something or somebody has activated the small transporters in the cages.
You hear a mechanical voice. "Countdown initiated. Selfdestruct engaged. T-Minus 2 minutes and counting." The glass starts cracking, and then bursts open. Some of the slivers cut you, but nothing serious. The woman falls to the floor, still unconscious.
Steam gets very nervous. "Come on we got to go! This place is going to explode." he grabs the woman, flings her over his back and starts prepairing the teleporter. "Regardless if your are coming or not, I am out of here. Should leave miss sleeping beauty here to rot, but something tells me that she's important."
He steps onto the Teleport pad, holding the activator. "You coming?"

All over the place weird looking creatures start appearing from nowhere. They are closing in on Gemini, and some are vainly trying to catch Atomic and Wyldecard. Wyldecard jumps in the vehicle and takes off, knowing that it would be too risky to rely on his powers. Besides, he can draw some of them off this way.

Zipping through the hallways, Atomic heard some screaming. Hitting the breaks he come upon a cell door. Inside, there were four people. Two were guards, obviously unaware of the termoil and chaos outside, or just not caring. The other two prisoners were female. One was hanging from the ceiling, blood coming from various cuts, and was totally nude. The other, looked kind of grey, and didn't look so good. One of the guards was trying to hold her down while taking off her clothing.
"You <explitive deleted>. Leave her alone! If I get my hands on you.." she shrieked as the other guard hit her with something resembling a cattleprod.
"It is simple, really. Tell us what the Rebels are up to, what you know of the meteor, and when we can expect your friends. Then the girl will be left alone. Your pain will end also. Don't and my friend here will have a lot of fun, but you won't be having any. Now talk." before he could blink the door flew open and his partner was down.
He raised a weapon he had, but his hand raised maybe a quarter of an inch before darkness claimed him. A fraction of a second later Stargazer was free. "Don't worry, I'll get you and the girl out of here. I've got the neutralizers down, going to have to be good enough. You two look like you are not doing so well." he picked them both up and speed to outside the facility. There, he saw the fight going on with some unfamiliar people.
Thinking to himself "Hmm they can't be all bad, if they are trying to take down this place. Probably after these two girls." He saw the rocket heading toward a couple of them, even with his speed he may not make it though. He would sure try.

A little bit of the blast follows you through the teleporter. Steam quickly nullifys it. On the otherside you are standing at the rebel base, with Steam and the mystery woman. Out of the crystal, she looks even more beautiful and radiant then before, but there is an aura of danger about her. Her skin is actually little blue scales, tightly packed together, and she has gills on her neck. She is still in suspended animation.

Suddenly an explosion roams the area, the rocket were blown away and Atomic, Stargazer and the girl seem surprised as Shagrath walked out of the smoke.
"Better get that girl out of here." Shagrath snarled, he were cut and bruised several places but didn't seem to care about it. "I just arrived, I will tell you what happened later. Right now I think I will have to help the others."
Shagrath extended his wings and flew back through the smoke to help. Stargazer didn't have time asking why Thug wasn't with him anymore.

The creatures are of all of the dangerous species. Bears, Lions, Wolves, ect. They have been genetically altered to be five times their normal size, and the mechanical devices seem to be giving them the ability to form attack strategies. One of the cheetas rushes the Gemini in the back, while a grizzly and rhino keep the front one busy. They are able to walk upright, but do seem to have limited intelligence. Unlike the humans, it is doubtful somebody is controlling them, they are just inraged and attacking everything in sight. Probably no use talking to them either. You notice the absence of flying creatures however.

Shagrath crashed into a grizzly, and notices the a Gemini.
"Are you okey?" he asked.
The Gemini nodded, and shagrath motioned for a cheetah that is just behind him. The Gemini hurles around and instantly the cheetah dropped to the ground, drained of energy. Shagrath summoned his fire once again, sending it into the Rhino that had turned against him. He smiled. Untouched and invinsible as usual, he thought. Something grabbed him from behind, the strenght was amazing and it were close to crushing him. Then he simply exploded. The fire flew in every direction, swallowing several creatures and burning them to ashes. The other mutants were just outside range, and lucky to them Shagrath's energy were gone before the fire reached that far. He fell to his knees, gasping. The rhino, the grizzly and one more animal he didn't notice lay burned on the ground. A shark, it looked like, but at land? Then he fell to the ground, not moving anymore.

With the major threats out of the way, the Gemini's start making headway into the base. "We have to hurry! Reinfocements will be here anytime. We can not take on all of Mega. Lets get our people and get OUT! Somebody...help that guy out!"
Wylde brings the car to a halt near Shagrath, and picks him up and puts him in the car. The Cheeta one gets in the car and starts tearing at Wylde, however.
Gemini yells "Mindreaver, can you try to use your illusions on these things! Even I can not handle all of them!"
"Problem Child...got any music to sooth the savage beasts? Would really be nice about now!" yells the other Gemini at the same time.

"Where is everybody?" wonders Steam. He activates the comm and asks "Where is everybody? We have the rock, and some sleeping woman. Oh and you might want to know, there were some cyborg animals that looked like they might have been on steroids...they disspeared though"
Over the comm "Yeah, we KNOW. We are fighting them! Here are the coordinates. How about you and Malice come help us out. Take the teleporter, leave the sleeping woman in the care of the non-combatants at the base. We need all the help we can get"
