His argument is there should only be air, water, earth and fire elemental, no such things as mentally or omnibus elemental...

In the Ashan lore Light and Shadow are elementals too. Otherwise Elrath and Malassa wouldnt be elemental dragons.
And it suits very well as Conflux could look something like this then:

1. Air Elemental
2. Fire Elemental
3. Earth Elemental
4. Water Elemental
5. Light Elemental
6. Shadow Elemental
7. Phoenix

Then the racial skill could be Elemental Merging.
Fire + Earth = Magma Elemental Tier 2
Air + Water = Typhoon Elemental Tier 4
Light + Shadow = Twilight Elemental Tier 6
Typhoon + Twilight + Magma = Meta Elemental Tier 7

I still do not really get phoenix in conflux, sicne (for me) phoenix is not an elemental creature, and if at all, it would be a merging of the elements fire & Light (and maybe air)...

yet I like the elemental merging idea

Omnibus elemental is the "mixture" of all other elementals and mentality elemental is the "heir" of the psychic elemental... i still don't get what's the bad in the idea for something new...

An what does "there should only be air, water, earth and fire" mean?! Who said that they MUST be only four and they MUST be the four one from homm3???

1. You have called creatures 'elementals' that clearly aren't (energy is not an element, neither is mind).

Because that's the whole point behind elementals, physical (semi-physical in some cases) representations of the elements, not a random bunch of creatures with similar name suffixes.

Honestly, if you're going to try to create a Conflux town look here first.

*shrug* Conflux isn't the only unique idea around, I mean if you want to risk it you could use gnomes, naga, troglodytes, lizardmen, etc. You could also go for themes that AFAIK haven't really been tried till now, like Hellenic (ancient Greek), Steampunk, Gun-toting, etc.

Dargor mentioned a while back reintroducing the Forge. I dislike the idea of introducing the old Forge, which was far too cyberpunk to ever fit in a HoMM game. I have however, come up with a Forge that I hope will be acceptable to the majority of people:

Forge
Tier 1
Pike > Macehead Pike/Dragon Pike
Tier 2
Crossbow > Repeater Crossbow/Fire Crossbow
Tier 3
Engineer > Saboteur
or
Grenadier > Miner
Tier 4
Power-Soldier > Power Slicer
or
Gunner > Arquebuser
Tier 5
Wagon > War Wagon
or
Rocket Cart > Hwacha

Only one set of base and upgraded creatures are available at a time, and you select this by building either a Gearworks or a Powder Store (they're mutually exclusive to each other), before which the only creatures available are the Pike and the Crossbow.

Power-Soldier? What is this, Power Rangers or something?

Forge as a futuristic concept is a no-go to me, but Forge as a Gnome town would work just fine. Never liked the in-battlefield Ballistae of Heroes 4 (and seems redundant with current War Machine anyway), but some good mechanical units like Dragon Golem and other stuff could go here. Engineers and Mechanics (Gnome units) would also be defaults.

I guess the major pit-fall as I see it is avoiding making a faction of War Machines, as we already have War Machines available for the factions in other contexts.

While we're at it, why don't we just pop the dwarves in there, since the fortress wasn't exactly the greatest idea ever made. In fact, we should just throw the naga in there and give them a home while creating the order faction once again!!! Except that now Academy and Tower are separate and very much different.

Lineups:

Academy:
1. Gremlin-> Master Gremlin/ Gremlin Saboteur
2. Apprentice-> Arcane Adept/ Magical Learner
3. Gargoyle-> Elemental Gargoyle/ Obsidian Gargoyle
4. Spellsword-> Battlemage/ Arcane Warrior

Actually it's a Gremlin in a power-suit (steampunk space-marine), although I agree it's not a very good name.

The Mecha-beast is basically a Dragon Golem, but a bit more solid-looking.

I think that you shouldn't copy the creatures from the previous series, i think that Heroes 6 should be more original. For example:

Faction: Dragon Fort
Terrain: Snow
Specialization: Frost & Ice
Creatures:
Tier 1: blue dragon whelp - armored blue dragon whelp / ice whelp (flyer, shooter)
Tier 2: mana beast - mana serpent / arcane drainer (flyer, shooter and has a few spells)
Tier 3: water revenant - sea revenant / ice revenant (flyer, shooter)
Tier 4: mammoth rider - dire mammoth rider / wooly mammoth rider (walker, large)
Tier 5: drakonid - drakonid general / drakonid lord (walker)
Tier 6: mage - ice mage / mage lord (walker, shooter, caster-most powerfull caster from this faction)
Tier 7: dragonspawn - dragonspawn warrior / dragonspawn mage (large, walker)
Tier 8: sky drake - sky dragon / azure dragon (flyer, large immune to frost magic)

I can't figure out their abilities so I'm free to suggestions

I like it but:

1.there aren't any shooters

2.there are too many casters

3.it would be very nice if u add you're own different&unique skills

4.Oh, and one more thing - not sure about it but I don't thing that it's good almost every creature to be large...

Although I like it very much

PS: u should rename the tier 8 creature to:
sky drake > sky dragon - azure dragon, there's already a blue dragon

I forgot to put shooters cause I wasn't thinking much
the tier 1, 2, 3, 6 are shooters
Now I'm putting together the other factions

and here's a drawing of how should be the dragon fort like

but more magical and the buildings shouldn;t look like they are made by humans

Here is a Little bit a tweaked Necropolis

Tier 1 : Skeleton-Skeleton Arche/Skeleton Warrior-same abilites like ToTe + Defensive Stance
Tier 2 : Zombie-Plague Zombie(weakning Strike)/ Rotten Zombie( Battle Rage-these guys are faster)
Tier 3 : Ghost-Spectre/Poltergeist Same like ToTe : but poltergeists are a little stronger because the specialty is a bit outclassed by the mana drain of the spectres

Tier 4 : Vampire-Vampire Lord/ Vampire Prince Same Like Tote...The lord has +1 initiative because lacks +1 speed..and prince gets +2 defence

Tier 5 : Lich-Archlich/Power Lich...Lich Gets Spellbook with basic suffering...(12 mana),, ArchLich damage and initiative increased by 1,,,Master Lich get +3 defence

Tier 6 : Bone Dragon-Spectral Dragon/Ghost Dragon-Bone Dragon gets Magic Proof 50%  and reduced stats for being a tier 6,,Spectral Dragon has Cursing Attack and Immune To Weakness, Ghost Dragon has Sorrow Strike and Immune To Slow-(Also maybe Incorporeal like the ghosts but at 25% not 50%? for both upgrades) Still get that specialty of the Dragon Tomb and gets +1 Growth

Tier 7 : Black Knight-Dread Knight/Doom Knight
Black Knight -Att 26 Def 27 Dmg 40-50 Hp : 175 initiative: 10 Speed:7
Abilities : Undead.Fright Aura.Large Creature.Armored

Dread Knight - Att 31 Def 31 Dmg 50-60 Hp : 230 Initiative 11 Speed:7

Abilities : Undead.Death Stare.Large Creature.Death Blow.Armored.

Doom Knight -  Att 28 Def 30 Dmg 40-50 Hp: 200 Initiative:12 Speed: 7
Mana : 20
Abilities : Undead.Immune To Fire.Large Creature.Armored.Mark of Fire.Flyer(Some kind of teleportaion animation like the devil)
Caster:
Curse of the Netherworld-Basic
Armageddon-Basic

Upgrades Cost 5000 Gold +2 mercury....Black knights costs 4000 gold +1 mercury

Death Blow: Has a chance on attack or retaliation to deal 2 times normal damage to enemy and make them loose all initiative(like bash)

I have tons of other changes to other factions and also considering a new faction of discared creature(medusa,manticore,harpy,cents etc...) An other change to stronghold coming soon
