Show us your Skillwheel

In this thread, I encourage people to take a screenshot of their favourite pick of skills for the different hero types. I have set 32 points as standard - making the hero about level 30 (depends on witch huts and so). I think the wheel speaks for itself, but if you like to explain, please do so.

To start off with - here's my Barbarian wheel (It's a bit big though, so feel free to scale them down a bit)

Have fun

I've got loads to show. Will upload later. Sorry if I'm being offtopic but why does havez only start with 1 skill while every single other hero gets 2 skills to start with. Am I missing something here?

Well i would have little different build up than you Darkeye, and why over 30 skills?

Well here is two my lv32 Barbs:

On the left is my ideal build against Dungeon, shatter magic differs from enemy of course. I would go for Flaming Arrows against pure magic faction. You might is be enough against creature vs creatures but you need Ballista or something to keep up against Magic heroes (it's just too bad if enemy kills your ballista on turn 1). Shouts sure sounds tempting and this late game it has big effect. On the right build up i could give up Defense but that's just bit scary and in reality you don't be offered Shout very often.

The right side build up is clearly against might fanction Haven or other Stronghold etc. Luck is very good in most cases but whit Orc's i usually skip it. Leadership whit Battle Elation is the way to go (although flaming ballista hero would not perhaps need it) One thing is for certain, Enlightenment is a must if possible! For lv30 hero, geez thats damn good.

I don't know is those the "best" build ups but thats how i see it anyway.

Little show off here is my end game Vittorio, some time ago in multiplayer game:

Have had little troubles against Sylvan but in that game didn't break a sweat.

@emilsn: To copy screen press PrtSc (Print Screen) button in your keyboard and paste (Ctrl+V) it to your Paint. Paint is not that bad. You can resize, cut, move and do all kinda things.

Paint don't have multiple layers so i often use two Paints at the same time. E.g if you combine two pics together copy the first pic on the second Paint (Paint 2) then select the area what you like from the picture and do the required changes, then copy it to the first Paint (Paint 1) program. Go back to game or where ever you take the pictures can copy and paste it on "Paint 2" and make the changes and copy. Make room in "Paint 1" for the second picture for above or on the right, increasing the "white box area" and then Paste second picture there (you can move it) and you have perfect picture

A different set of skills but I believe a rather solid one. It's a hard choice between retribution and excruciating strike but Kragh's special ability and powerful blow tipped the scales in favour of excruciating strike. Expert shatter dark or destructive (fiery wrath for extra damage) could have been picked but luck and artefacts play a role as well in avoiding frenzy and other spells. IMO defense is a better skill to pick, combined with blood rage it works wonders.

Yeah that is Kragh's build up but if i had those 3 attack perks it would be tempting to go towards the Absolute Rage skill. War Machine perks are lame but the Ultimate is pretty good.

This is a good all around barb. skillwheel for me. Absolute Rage is REALLY nice. You get rage lvl 1 by start (and even more if you have pendant of mastery). I do enjoy skills you need to get it, Leadership, only downside side is, that Aura of swiftness is great for orcs and Divine is good too. But 1 extra speed is rather good to. Dont need to say anything about Att. War machines. Great for end game.
I choose Logistics because of the usefulness, Again great for sieges and end game. The last thing if you get that high. would be a shatter magic skill. So that depent on what you are up against. Else Destrucktion is good , because of fiery wrath. Sorcery(shout) works good too)

Sure, problem is skipping either logistics or defence. Skipping logistics  makes sense in a way (since logistics doesn't make your army any better) but the whole game will be awfully slow and catching up enemy heroes will be a real pain. So that means taking war machines instead of defence... And not the good war machines perks either, not the awesome ballista or the neat first aid tent to avoid losing centaurs along the way.

And divine guidance? With Kragh? Not such a good move IMO.

The way I see it aiming for absolute rage is a bit of a risky wager, if you manage it you're set but if you don't get lucky on the way you're stuck. In my experience most games end before reaching level 30.

Goblin support, right, like this is a winning skill!

@emilsn: luck would be a really good choice.

Many good Skillwheels here

The reason I chose that number is for a longer campaign where you often get to level 30 - which is very high indeed.

For a normal stand-alone, 25 is much more normal, yes; and now the conquest for the ultimate one isn't so unreachable - but often not worth it.

What I wanted for this thread was an easy wasy too see peoples choices, and since the skillwheel has been completely changed, it has taken some time to adjust to.

But, by all means - feel free to post skillwheels of lower levels

Suggestion for a new Angle:
Show your most neccesary skills and abilites. Those you choose as a bonus at the end of a game don't have to be included. In this way, the level of your hero doesn't have to be too high.

Anyway here's a my lvl 25 Barb for a normal game (and also my most sought skills and abilites)

Mine would be the same I already posted but without warpath and snatch (and possibly pathfinding).

Shout isn't that good for Kragh. Kragh hits more than he uses battlecries. At high level Kragh can kill quite a few tier 7 creatures, that's more than what can be done with a shout (add powerful blow).

Now that I think about it, empathy could work wonders with Kragh actually... I should try it.

In a campaign, logisitcs and mentoring can be very useful, but in a normal game you can do without both. Shouting is essential for huge battles - bad it's only 2% chance to get.

It depends on the size of the map, when playing on an XL map logistics sure helps a lot. In the end the difference may be hefty (you explore faster, you fight more, you intercept enemy heroes faster).

I think now log is always a must just because of swift mind. 1st cast is really that important(look at warlock's hit and run now..). Only sylvan will get familiar ground (most likely) and they are going to pay for it: for example, a swift minded knight may use divine guidance on marksmen and then Ossir has to say bye bye to his arcane suckers. So, maybe sylvan with familiar ground is not such a great idea.. Swift mind + ranger is very nice too - it may mean fast casting of mass RM so that sylvan's 1st strike does 60% more damage. So, still windstrider boots are priceless. Then, aura of swiftness is a must and divine guidance(for arcane archers) has to go.

I don't think luck is necessary. Since the resistance perk aint that good. 5 pr luck. Its only good if you find arti. but else you can live without. atleast if you get a shatter.
