I've been trying to piece together what I can about Heroes V without actually playing it, and I've had some ideas. Harpies should definitely be a Stronghold unit, or a neutral allied with them. It makes sense that they would be half demon-half vulture, and would have fled around the same time as orcs and centaurs. Trolls would also be another unit that shared the history of the orcs, but at some time they disagreed with the orcs and left, for they wanted revenge on the Silver Cities for creating them to be slaves, and eventually allied with the naga's because they to want revenge. There seems to be a lot of genetic experiments and enslaving creatures in this world, and lots of turmoil, so that would create a good environment for changed allegiances and new sub factions springing up. I have so many ideas about different struggles within various factions that I wouldn't even be sure how they could be implemented. I have an idea about a storyline where a Vampire who has long been entranced with life and the taking of it, who falls for a beautiful woman from the Holy Griffin Empire, and tries to find a way to make his love immortal without having death's kiss and becoming undead. This leads him into the elves territory where he believes there is a source of eternal life there. In his unrelenting quest to find a source of immortality, he invades demon and mage territories too. Finally, he encounters one of the god dragons, maybe the one of light, or an oracle of one of them, and learns the true meaning and purpose of life, that it is to be savored and adored while it is there, and he shouldn't waste time searching for something that will ultimately corrupt his love when he could be spending his time with her. He doesn't listen, of course, and continues his quest, only to have his love die from illness during his travels, and he ultimately comes to understand the meaning behind the oracles words, and pledges to no longer take for granted how precious and fleeting life really is, establishing a kingdom of new units comprised of both undead and living units.

I also have a storyline idea involving another hero who wishes to free all those creatures that have been enslaved and used by society, and establish a new society were they are all seen as equals and help and protect one another. During his campaign he frees griffins, lizards, minotaurs, gremlins, and goblins, as well as making allies with dwarves and elves, ultimately leading to the establishment of a new kingdom where they protect and live together with each other, with new units from these creatures with new stats and abilities.

Added Inquisitor, Monk and Disicple to Haven creature list on page six.
Also scrapped the idea of giving the Marksman a shield ability and the Disciple a magical "holy shield".

Next faction i will add will be the Wood Elven faction.

This is just a quick creature list i made up:

1. Pixie-Sprite-Dryad
2. Scout-Master Tracker-Stalker
3. Hunter-Warden-Sharpshooter
4. Pegasus Rider-Valkyrie-Silver Rider
5. Treant-Ancient Treant-Lousy Treant
6. Unicorn-Lunar Unicorn-Grand Unicorn
7. Green Drake-Golden Dragon-Emerald Dragon

I redesigned the masterpost with a different additude; instead of having all the information there, I just put links to the pages where the information can be easily found.
I only left the world map and the factions' names there, which are necessary for the creators, and should be found easily.

If there's anything done I haven't noticed, please let me know and I'll add it to the masterpost.

@Guarder: I will make the Orges creatures stats. Do you want me to make the creatures' abilities as well?

I see that in Heroes V towns had specialties that made them unique. What about taking that a step further and adding some customization and mixed faction towns. Although I wasn't big on the Heroes IV idea of choosing to build one dwelling or the other, seeing towns of the same type with different dwellings would be neat, and give the developers a way to further extend plot dynamics. Alliances formed between different societies could see mixed faction towns, complete with creatures with new specializations. Take for example an Academy town allied with some of the dwarves towards the snowy mountainous regions. The mages are known for their artificers and golem builders, and dwarves are known for their smithing, mining, building, so it would be mutually beneficial for both parties. It also opens up possibilities for new conflicts, as the two different factions being so close together could lead to some frustrations leading to skirmishes and in fighting, with these mixed towns caught in the middle.

Some towns just make sense to have different creatures from most of their faction. Certain sylvan towns, for example, may have phoenix dwellings rather than their normal dwelling. Likewise, some necropolis might have Death Knights as their tier 6 creature. Harpies could be seen in some orc towns, while Magogs could be seen replacing Horned Demons in some inferno towns, giving the demons an additional ranged creature.

Sub-Factions similar to how the renegades split from the Haven could be done too. An Asylum Town could consist of bandits and rogues, as well as minotaurs that fled from the dark elves and become thieves and criminals. Pirates, mercenaries, and possibly even troglodytes could inhabit this sub-faction town. I'd like to see plenty of new creatures in HoMM VI, and even though there are over 170 creatures in HoMM V, I don't really consider upgrades a different creature, just an upgraded version of the old one. Having varieties of town dwellings sets and numerous creatures to choose from increases the fun as well as the strategy, for deciding which creature to keep in your army and which to take out is a matter of preference as well as tactics.

Neutrals History and Lore, Part 1

The Harpy

The Harpies were originally created by the mages of the silver cities by mixing succubus blood with that of vultures. They fled the mages at the same time the orcs did, and shared their history for awhile, but the harpies are brash, unruly, and bloodthirsty. For this reason, they parted ways with the orcs, and overtime, encountered first the naga and then the ogre factions. Filled with their own self involvement and rude, abrasive manner, their alliance with these factions were also short lived, and they now live for themselves in the mountains and desert regions in the tower and academy territories.

Tier 2+
Attack 4   Defense 3   Damage 2~6   Hit Points 17   Speed 7    Initiative 14   #/week 7   Cost 135   Abilities: No Enemy Retaliation, Strike and Return, Flyer, Raging Blood

Quote:

That's the plan.

Now, here's a creation myth I made some time ago for a project which never took off.  I dug it up a short time ago.  What the hey, maybe it can work for this project.

THE SANCTUARY

An influx of the power of the ages: Magic.  The six powers that forge Magic: Air, Water, Earth, Fire, Thought and Void.
Such a meeting is powerful enough to create life, when wrought correctly.
Without a beginning, without an end, the Universe. Unending and incomprehensible to the unenlightened.
Yet an influx can shed light upon the matter. Light... and darkness.

Air. The whisper of life. Required for living survival, both harsh and gentle, unseen and untouched.
Water. The essence of life. Shaper of planets, bearer of lands, mysterious and undeniably powerful.
Earth. The anvil of life. Everywhere and omnipresent, capable of causing destruction, but bears life.
Fire. The soul of life. Bringer of Chaos, naturally wild, the expression and emotion of nature itself.
Thought. The heart of life. Devourer of destiny, granter of free will, the great meaning of existence.
Void. The shadow of life. Cradle of the dead, hall of those awaiting rebirth, bitter yet necessary.

The six elements converge, and life is born. Hundreds of glimmering lights soar among the stars, white sparks of life. They form into a gleaming sphere, glimmering white amidst the black abyss. The sparks of light create a full, perfect geoid. They multiply at an amazing rate, changing colour and warping the geoid's shape into physical substance. An ominous red sky, deep blue ground seperating and breaking away at unbelievable speed, and a lush crimson ocean. The marks of a newborn planet.

Then comes true life. The sparks of life surround the world with leys, unseen tunnel-like strands which bear profound energy, and from a source beyond our mortal comprehension, Magic flows into the world. Pure power, pure light and darkness. It is born. Millions of tiny specks of Magic take on a physical form of their own, and Thought is formed. Sentient spirits are born, each of them sharing the same mind, the same consciousness, none of them tarnished. The leys finally converge at the centre of the planet to form the Core, the Heart of the World, creating a wellspring of mystical energy. As long as the Core remains enveloped in this power, so shall the planet's inhabitants shall be granted the power to shape it for their own uses.

As time passes in the blink of an eye, the red sky quickly turns to many hues. Blue, grey, white, they all envelop it. The earth is transformed into numerous textures and colours. The crimson ocean becomes pure teal as the colour of the ground seeps away and attempts to pentrate the surface of the world, failing. The unified consciousness is shattered, and each creature is born. Most lack the Sentience, but a minority, the first to be born, retain their wisdom and self-awareness. In the wake of true life's formation, the sentient Void casts a shadow of the world to craft a ghostly memory of itself, the Netherworld. The Heart of the World reserves it for those who lose the gift of life, for their spirits to await rebirth.

Who created this world? What was their intention? What of the other planets in the endless abyss that is the Universe? What purpose do they serve? Does it matter? Sentience is the most powerful of all gifts, and the world embraced it.

It is a Sanctuary, a Sanctuary of life.
It is Sceracion.

(Note: So basically, as ever, we don't have a clue who created the world... yet.  Sceracion means Sanctuary in some language we have yet to come up with.  And this is basically true, though it is still a legend and can be built upon later.  It's not Ashan by the way.)

Ogres creatures statistics:
(The creatures were invented by guarder, I just added their stats)

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

1. Troglodytes - Infernal Troglodytes | Ancient Troglodyte
Attack: 3 - 4 | 3
Defense: 1 - 1 | 2
Damage: 1-3 | 1-4 | 1-3
Speed: 5 - 5 | 5
Initiative: 9 - 9 | 10
Hit Points: 3 - 3 | 3
Shots: 0 - 0 | 0
Mana: 0 - 0 | 0

The Troglodytes seem quite strong; they have a lot of attack and damage, but they have a huge disadvantage; they have only very little HP: 3. They will be strong damagers that it will be easy to crash in masses.

2. Axe Thrower - Axe Master | Giant Axe Bearer
Attack: 3 - 3 | 6
Defense: 4 - 4 | 2
Damage: 2-5 - 2-5 | 2-6
Speed: 4 - 4 | 6
Initiative: 10 - 12 | 9
Hit Points: 10 - 13 | 10
Shots: 8 - 8 | 0
Mana: 0 - 0 | 0

3. Guru - Snake Tamer - Carpet Rider
Attack: 5 - 8 | 6
Defense: 2 - 3 | 2
Damage: 2-6 | 2-8 | 2-7
Speed: 7 - 8 | 7
Initiative: 14 - 15 | 14
Hit Points: 14 - 16 | 16
Shots: 0 - 0 | 0
Mana: 7 - 0 | 7

Guru is a magical being. Therefore, I gave it only a tiny amount of mana, that will be enough for one weak spell, not anything more serious. The true casters of the faction are the Ogre Mages.

4. Ogre - Ogre Mage | Ogre Berserker
Attack: 13 - 11 | 15
Defense: 7 - 7 | 7
Damage: 6-11 - 6-12 | 6-12
Speed: 5 - 5 | 6
Initiative: 9 - 9 | 9
Hit Points: 31 - 31 | 35
Shots: 0 - 0 | 0
Mana: 0 - 18 | 0

5. Crusher - Black Lord | Punisher
Attack: 9 - 9 | 12
Defense: 15 - 17 | 14
Damage:  11-13 - 13-15 | 13-15
Speed: 6 - 6 | 6
Initiative: 8 - 9 | 8
Hit Points: 78 - 87 | 80
Shots: 0 - 0 | 0
Mana: 0 - 0 | 0

6. Roc - Thunderbird | Firebird
Attack: 21 - 21 | 26
Defense: 14 - 14 | 14
Damage: 17-23 | 17-23 | 20-25
Speed: 7 - 8 | 7
Initiative: 12 - 15 | 11
Hit Points: 77 - 77 | 87
Shots: 0 - 0 | 0
Mana: 0 - 0 | 0

7. Behemoth - Ancient Behemoth | Gargantuan
Attack: 28 - 31 - 29
Defense: 28 - 31 | 33
Damage: 31-61 | 31-71 | 35-67
Speed: 6 - 6 | 6
Initiative: 10 - 10 | 9
Hit Points: 185 - 215 | 235
Shots: 0 - 0 | 0
Mana: 0 - 0 | 0

All creatures of Castle is complete!!!

Im working on building + building description but i have already uploaded the "Building Plan".

Things to Do:

Change Storyline?
So that the humans came from Bacorus and change some names (like the mountains renamed to Cathirs Vale etc).

Is there anything more i should do or should i begin to work on the Sylvan/Grove faction?

I hope you like my work,lj just say if you dislike anything!

You can see the Human Castle on Page Six.

There are two main factions of humans.

The Sceracion Union and the normal empire lead by the soon full-corrupted king.

Also should i do a campaign?
I have already done a quick summary of Castle campaign/future story for Castle if needed.

Its about Valdanes daugther fleeing from her father, rebuild Bacorus and prepare for her fathers invasion.
Its much about the Sceracion Union.
It will feature Humans and Dwarfs, and some Necromancers in cinematics.
So it will be a pretty easy tutorial "create armies and build towns" campaign

Also the Wood Elves dont like the humans right now because they had broken an old promise, the Wood Elves knows the truth about the king.
Nadela (Valdanes daugther) tries to invite tge Elves to the Union. The Dwarfs are already in it and the Ruenstone Greatwall building is an gift from them.

More about the Wood Elves in next faction.
All i can tell you right now is that it is "Druids VS Military Forces/Rangers".

edit:

I changed the castle storyline!
