About the implicit question (could Kilghan be made smaller), and to explain what Nelgirith said, we can only edit the textures, not the geometry or the skeleton. If you don't know what these are, think of the Geometry as the shape of the hero, and the texture as his skin. Without any texture, the hero already has his shape, all white. This we cannot change (except marginally by making some parts of the texture transparent).
In particular, this means that we cannot make an existing model smaller.
The reason he is smaller is because he is half-orc and half-goblin, and again, this is something we cannot exactly do, unless there is already a model closer to that.

I agree that the heroes' models should match their identity, but it should be clear that not everything is possible, far from it.



Ok I know, for many of you, it will be just mumbling, cuz I am a noob in this case, but anyway I'll try to write some things...

About Razzak:
Is there no way to take golems legs and attach them to mages body? It wouldn't be making geometrics once again, but mixing two of them in one...
Could anybody try?

About Kilghan:
What about changing goblins texture? I have seen that, for example, Dirael is bigger then the regular Pixie. You can try making bigger goblin then...
Also, I think that there could be creature-like heroes in Stroghold.
Telsek could be a bit changed warrior, Haggash could be female centaur, etc., etc. (although in Haggash biography wasn't said that she was centaur. Only that she was raised by them...)

About Irina:
What about trying to make her griffin rush dive (while attacking)? If you managed to put her on its back maybe it is possible to make them rush dive...

For now that is all...

I don't even understand the point of your 2nd issue ... If Anwen is a woman, we give her a woman model if possible. If you want Anwen to be a man, just keep the default model for ... him

The point of this thread is to make all heroes look as realistic as possible, that's why Anwen got a female model.


@Lesij : Anything you said about Razzak is plain impossible atm. We can't mix models and pasting golems legs texture on Razzak would only make something unpleasant.
About Kilghan, I tend to agree with what Sfidanza said earlier in that thread. We should avoid giving any hero a simple creature model, heroes are supposed to be unique, to look powerful - giving them a creature look, even if retextured will only make them look weak. I rather keep the default model than using any creature model for a hero.

Is it possible to make the Anwen model with one arm missing, like in her artwork? Or the drawing is cut?

guys just a request

i really love your mods its really great but can you make a mod that changes  Klaus model to king nicolia and its history i just really want to use king nicolia in single player but i cant find a mod that able to do that so i just think this model modding will work
im not a modder like you guys just asking for help thank's i really appriciate

I've noticed that the final pack of my Stronghold heroes wasn't in the topic, so here it is : Download here (Rapidshare).


Each hero has his own .h5u file that you can put in the UserMODs directory. Each hero has his unique look as shown in the previous screenies.

The Kunyak-fix.h5u is a special file that corrects Kunyak in his scenarios : "The Cup of Thunder" and "The Warcry". Kunyak uses the same model as Gorshak in both maps but also in the cinematics (which isn't the case without the fix) and it also gives him back his wonderful icon
The Kunyak-fix has to be placed in UserMODs as well.

I have to admit that I am completely taken by other projects right now, in particular the New Creatures Framework, and the repackaging of H5/HoF campaigns for ToE. But I still plan to come back to this one as soon as I can. Of course, anyone moving it forward in the meantime is gladly welcome.
