I think its slightly too red personally. It looks a bit as if it was clear and then dumped into some kind of paprika (red spice thingy)

You're right Inferno, I don't like the red one. I think that blue-white model is much better.
Also, if you could give him some rocky-grey or dirty-brown accesories he would look as if he has been just taken from underground...

I'm currently working a blue/white one again. However, I recently screwed something up and it looked like I cut the shape of a Magam Dragon out of a picture of space. Wierd...
As previously suggested, there will be two mods. The Red Crystal Dragon is almost ready for usage, there were just some errors that I needed help with. The texture will likewise be updated a little to meet the needs of all people who have posted.
The real Crystal Dragon is going to be white with hints of very bright cyan and of course sparkles. There will be less sparkles on the real crystal dragon than the red one becaue you wouldn't be able to see half of them anyway.

I will try. I'll be honest, I don't know exactly how, but I guess I could change the density, color, hue, saturation a lighting of certain areas to give a more "antique" feel. In other words, I will try.

As per your request Lesij, I have covered the Crystal Dragon (Red one) with bits of dirt. Good news, it looks as you probably wanted it to. Bad news is its all symetrical and I don't think there is a way to go around that.

it's ok Inferno. even though it's symmetrical it looks really cool. nice stuff. personally i actually got used to the Crystal Dragon while playing H3 so for me, the white one is sort of weird... but for the red one, really, really nice!

Maybe if I didn't seperate the symmetry, it wouldn't look as much as the snowflake I made in third grade. Well, this is for Lesij anyway. So there are probably going to end up being four mods. Pure Red Crystal, Pure Real Crystal, Dirty Red and Dirty Real Crystal Dragons.

For now, yes, it does replace Snow Ape. In the future, I will try making creatures with their own files though. I understand you can have only one Snow Ape mod at a time. The files themselves are for the most part ready, I had some issues though so I was asked to give sfidanza the files, unfortunately he hasn't yet replied.
As for dwellings, no not yet. Someone did make a mod like this though so it is likely I will take the old mod, change a few files, and make Crystal Dragons recruitable. As soon as the minor issues are fixed, I will post the basic mod, which only makes Crystal Dragons neutral creatures. Dwellings will be for some time in the not so distant future (probably some time in early January).
As was said in the beginning of one of my posts, future mods will include bringing back the good old creatures. I'll need help with that one though.
EDIT: Here is the first beta test of the Crystal Dragon. Right now only two versions available (sorry, haven't finished the real crystal one).

If you're using cheats, it is CREATURE_SNOW_APE, if you want to play against it without cheats, I recommend Dragon Pass map, if you want to use it without cheats, get Diplomacy and hope you have it join you.
This is the demo I guess you could say, comments and suggestions are more welcome than ever.
From now on, only two more things will change:
1)Textures (so we get the real ones as well)
2)Make some dwellings for them

I won't take all the credit for this one, I had some help (*cough* sfidanza *cough*). Still, I got the basics done. As for texturing, I'm going to need a lot of help for my next mod, which is going to bring back the other dragons and maybe some other units such as Sharpshooters (better than the ones in Sylvan), Enchanters (better than the Mages), Crusaders (renegade renegades!), and I'll accept any offers for others.

I'm probably going to do all the Crystal Dragon textures today after which I'm going to start a new topic that tells us what this neutral creatures thing is all about (even though I already said it here, I'd rather have a dedicated thread). If you want to get a headtstart, pick one of the following:
-Azure Dragon: blueish, but not like in H3. More of a luster to it. Dark blue, but somewhat shiny. I recommend Black Dragon for basic model, but if you have better idea than do as you please. If you do pick Black Dragon, be careful not to make the Azure Dragon look as if its spent its whole life unnderground.
-Rust Dragon: I'd rather do this one but I guess you can do one and we can compare. Take the Green Dragon I guess and if possible make its scales invisible. Then take a picture of a rusted pipe or something and patch pieces of the Rust Dragon with that. Overall color is brownish-red, if you use Green Dragon, its good because its going to have Acid Breath.
-Sharpshooter: Probably the Arcane Archer model only green. Try not to make the two look obviously similar.
-Enchanter: Your choice of model: Mages, Druid, or Cleric. Whatever looks best. Make it look like someone who has spent his whole life in dedication to magic. I think you know the type.
Pick which ones you want or don't pick at all. This mod is in a VERY basic stage and isn't going to be available for a while so you have time. Like I said, this is a head start.
