Reign of Terror (OoC)
Reign of Terror takes place in the future of Homm5 and Ashan.
To join, simply post.
You begin the game a member of any faction you choose - from Maarn's inner circle of advisers to a new Tchaida recruit to a foreigner from the distant land known as Axeoth (hint hint nudge nudge ).
If you choose to be a high-ranking person with soldiers at his/her command, you may play this game as a 'role-playing turn-based strategy game' if you so desire.
Major plot developments such as the defeat of Maarn will be posted by me. These will partially depend on players' actions and partially on my own chaotic whims .
No player may play as Maarn. However, the leader of the Tchaida is playable - be warned that changes in the leadership of the Tchaida are extremely frequent and often near-fatal.

Kaï, an old paladin who survived the wars, rallied a small force of religious fanatics behind him. He took an emblem from his shield. He crossed over "Griffin eternal" and wrote "for the inquisition" and that became his quote. He resides now in a fallen nearly-destroyed fortress. W8ing, planning, plotting. He needs new recruits to face the necromancer's minions, but from where? He offered his inquisitor elite squadron to aid as Tchaida.
Later he received a letter stating that the untimely death of the former leader "Grimnox" has left an opening spot for leader and he was most qualified (Kaï suspected that he wasn't just qualified, but that u needed courage to become leader). Kaï laughed hysterically. He finally had a force worthy of the necromancer. He rallied his knights and cried:"For THE INQUISITION!!!" and took off to the new Tchaida hideout.
His trusted, veteran knights scraped together their few treasured belongings. They went their way to the Tchaida hideout, wondering what their lord's plans were with that bandit scum, called Tchaida.

Kai's forces ride across barren wastelands of shadow and eternal dusk, eventually reaching the edge of an equally intimidating forest. Kai and his warriors are ambushed by a group of warriors cloaked in full-body black suits. Kai's enemies are outnumbered almost 3 to 1, but they fight in a strange style that allows them to slowly overpower Kai's troops.
How does Kai respond?

w8 , isn't ooc something that u say besides rp'ing? like in the first pages of let's have war, when mvass or whatever did a li'l imba. Then there was a bit of ooc when u, not ur characters wanted to say something, correct?
small edit: Out of character?

Anyone? (cricket noises)  c'mon (an owl is heard in the distance)  Where is everyone? (A hay bale passes by) pls, I would like a bit more interaction or background(no offence to enamelity, he has some great posts ), but I would like some more diversity. Someone could be Del, the dark elf captain, a mercenary, Maarn's advisor, a traveling hero etc. (almost on knees: pls join the "fun")

I agree with DagothGares. One of the essential aspects of an RPG is group interaction - how characters get along, differing opinions, etc.
But then again, I could just take this as a sign that people aren't interested in this RPG.

Well, I'd join...but I wouldn't know where to start.
This would be my first free-form RPG.
I'm running the Pokémon RPG you may have seen and also participate in the War of 5/8, but those have different styles of roleplaying.
If I do join, I'll probably play some Ranger with a small party of Elven Archers and what-not.

I'm sorry my connection to the net was gone for awhile, but I'll be back soon. (my modem has trouble functioning and my pc is lying to me as well and I think the wireless started a conspiracy against me with the sound system)
