I assure you that I have been quite aware; I’ve just been avoiding this thread until the round was finished so as not to bias myself towards any particular work. Also, I had to go to the dentist today, which rather cut into my judging time.
Where to begin…ah yes, LizardWarrior:
This portrait accurately portrays my like of the dark and quiet. The robe also looks nice and warm, and I like the sandals. But seriously, scales? No such luck! I’d ask what’s with the skulls, but as the death/undeath theme has unintentionally shown up in almost every one of my characters…
Blizzardboy:
The magic wands and smoke are fun, and I do like cats. The top is waaaay too skimpy for my taste, however, and the hat is simply too silly.

I have, in fact, put serious consideration into doing something similar, although without the whip. (It sends the wrong message, you see.) The picture also neatly captures my hoarding tendencies, although the fishnet stockings and heels are wildly out of character.
Geny:
Simple yet elegant. It doesn’t capture much of my personality, but I like it.
Elvin:
Nice, it captures the Heroes theme that brought me into the community originally. I also rather like the sword and shield combo. Another one that’s not wildly descriptive, though.

Leaves = no. I like the bird though, and the bow and the greaves…this portrait doesn’t really seem to relate to ME however, and would better describe several other members of the board.

Another fun one, if a little brighter than I usually go for. I’m also not sure what the alligator is supposed to represent.

i have the same question i had some posts ago and no one cared to answer. WHAT is the purpose of this contest?
to make a nice hero "playing with the name of the member"?
or
make whatever comes to our mind regardless how ugly it is and out of heroes reality
or
trying to imagine how the real members looks like and resemble that although it is difficult with a heroes machine?

Sorry that I did not notice that question earlier. It's probably best Geny answers it, but anyway since I'm posting this is how I see it:
I think in general it's about to resemble the virtues / uniqueness of the given member, from the information you know of them, through the heroes machine.
However the judging is completely up to the member and not only can there be misunderstandings ([url=http://heroescommunity.com/viewthread.php3?TID=26223&pagenumber=17]carcity's pirate[/url]), but the member is also free to simply say whatever looks the coolest is the winner and not what resembles them the most (mvass judgement of my entry).
So nr. 3 I'd guess, but in general you can pull whatever and hope that the other person interprets it as something that fits well ([url=http://heroescommunity.com/viewthread.php3?TID=26223&pagenumber=17]or not at all, which can be seen from carcity's judgement of wills entry[/url])

Ukraine will be proud for him. The snake was once found in his briefcase put there as a joke from his students and became his sidekick eversince

The purpose is to make an image that resembles the member as much as possible. What does "resemble" really mean is up to interpretation and has never been defined. Some try to create the internet persona the member has created, others use the information about his real life/appearance while others just make a random cool-looking entry and attach the member's name to it. Since there are no clear rules for the judges and those judges change every round, there's usually no certain way to win their affection (unless you know them well enough). But since this is for fun, it shouldn't be a problem. This is also the reason why no scores are recorded (at least not in this thread).

I wanted to make ihor a human with a math book and being a netherland fan with a sad expression due to their loss against Spain though since two others already have gone the human road, for diversity I decided to make something else. As I won't have time to make a new entry for ihor before this round is closed (probably), I ended up going a bit random in an attempt of combining cool and funny.
So you ever wondered how come ihor can be so smart, yet so sensitive and caring at the same time? Well duh, he's a centaur of course. Well, also he's from Ukraine and since I've no idea what that means, I just made him a centaur vampire. [That's cooler than a centaur communist, right?]
But that's not all, because it seems like PhoenixReborn have taken a bit unhealthy, sexual, interest in ihor. So no doubt, from this day forward, ihor was no more known as ihor, but as the dark knight, who ravaged the kingdom, and raped, plundered and tortured thousands of greeks (it's supposed to be ancient greek in the background), yet always with the fear of his mortal enemy, the sex craving PhoenixReborn!

Too bad there was so few entries  . Anyway my few cents:
Vangelis21 - First of all I like the thing you used national Ukrainian colors. I expected some ideas related to math like yours and the Uk-Ma thing was quiet good. As for minuses: you are beginner here and my advice is you do have to color nose/beard/lips. Without that the picture looks incomplete. Don't try to fill all slots in the program. Some things really look redundant. Mostly I'm talking here about aura/nunchuck/snake. In general this is quiet good entry for a beginner.
blizzardboy - This is the picture I expected to see . But it makes me more a physicist rather than mathematician - a rat, flying robot at the background and the thing in left hand. In general you depicted me quiet good, but you didn't guess in few details - I don't wear glasses and wear tie very rarely. Thats just not my style. And I don't understand what this footing under legs should mean. So thats not enough to become a winner  .
OhforfSake - What may I say? You better depicted me as a sad fan of Holland  . I just have no idea why centaur??? And I guess I missed something - about PR and greeks . At least you made me laugh for maybe 5 minutes. And this means the picture is not terrible.
Geny - This is simply awesome! The picture looks cool. I liked you used details from my character in GR and again nice combination of Ukrainian colors (blue/yellow) together with trident - Ukrainian national symbol. Nice you know - this does you credit. And you are the only one who mentioned about soccer. On the other hand you didn't mention about math and you used a cigar - I don't smoke. But as I guess you used it together with hat and sunglasses to reach cooler effect - and you succeed.
So as everybody could say now the winner is... Geny. Good job  . You're next.
