THAT's crazy. I don't ever use the desktop and I have TONS of temporary scripts (I've been programming 3D software in the past after all and tried so many algorithms I lost count). Actually the "saving to desktop" slows me down. I never even exit Total Commander -- so I can't see the desktop either
Also eMule is excruciatingly slow. Even torrents are faster. But are still far from optimal. Best is if you find stuff uploaded on sites like rapidshare or megaupload or mediafire, etc..

It is true but exclusively for english users. If you try, as me, to get a french version of something on rapidshare/torrents, you lose your time. Emule still rocks for non english versions.

I know the soloution is strange, but there is no problem in running anything visually? Everything is shown in somekind of proffesional TV zoom or what ever it is called!
By that i mean nothing is in 16/9, but it can't be 4/3 even if it looks that way in every thing i run and whatch...?

You buy that marketing crap? It doesn't really help if it's in peripheral vision though so we can get rid of that, and it'll look more like 4:3.
Why do you think they like widescreen (the manufacturers)? Simple. Production costs. Since the specifications are sold by diagonal length instead of screen area (which is the actual essential part, which provides how much you "see", how "big" is the monitor, etc...), it's simple:
a widescreen monitor with the SAME diagonal has a SMALLER area than a 4:3 one (or 5:4 one as I've seen) (do the math if you don't believe me)
This means cheaper to manufacture, sell the hype that "wide is good", and what you get? Lots of customers, cheaper manufacturing, CEO happy.

I have a 5:4 aspect ratio which is even narrow than 4:3 And I love it.
