Ok I made some heroes, I hope Lexxan doesn't mind I'll add them to the Mod later.
Omega the Necromancer (OmegaDestroyer)
Biography: Omega had a terrible trauma in his childhood: he always thought that chickens want to kill him. Once he got into a burst of anger against these creatures, and killed almost all chickens of farmer John. Farmer John was so angry on Omega that he delivered a blow against Omega's skull from behind while he was busy killing the chickens. John didn't want to kill Omega, but a damn lucky shot made him deliver more damage than expected and Omega died. After a year, Arantir was impressed by the anger (against chickens) of Omega and he resurrected him to be a powerful Necromancer. To this day, Omega thinks that the chickens actually killed him, and not farmer John. His anger towards these creatures increased every second of his (un)life. May Asha have mercy upon all chickens who meet Omega in battle.
Specialty: Chicken Torturer: All creatures in Hero's army deal 10% more damage per Hero level to Chickens, and each stack of Chickens killed is replaced by a group of friendly Ghosts for the duration of the combat. The number of the Ghosts depends on the Hero Level. (chickens = Phoenixes)
(Soulhunter - Naadir)
Skills: Basic Necromancy
Basic Destructive Magic
Basic Attack
Mvassilevsky the Knight (Mvassilev)
Biography: Mvassilevsky was always interested in politics and this is how he managed to become one of the royal Knights. Although he is a very learned person, he has a bad habit of quoting others' sentences word by word leading to some completely off topic replies. He was a little ashamed when he found out about his "problem" and from then on decided to use his awesome quoting abilities only on the enemy. This led to a huge success to Mvassilevsky and his loyal troops.
Specialty: Quote Wars: This Hero quotes the enemy by taking their phrases out of context and thus replying to some non-sense. This actually intimidates the enemy, reducing their Initiative by 1% per Hero Level. Moroever, allies find it funny and thus their Initiative increases by 1% per Hero Level as well.
(Master of Initiative - Raelag)
Skills: Basic Counterstrike
Basic Enlightenment - Scholar
Death the Necromancer (TheDeath)
Biography: The Grim Reaper itself, Death was bored about its job to only harvest the souls of the soon-to-be-dead people. It chose to come to Ashan and be a normal Necromancer. Because of its former "job" that had to be done perfectly with no mistakes, Death is the most serious creature on the world of Ashan, and this provides it with some special and unique bonuses.
Specialty: Seriousness: Being extremely serious, the Hero can convince the neutrals to join his cause more often than the others. Moreover, the seek of perfection allow this hero to find some gold and resources after every victory.
(Golden Tongue - Rolf)
Skills: Basic Necromancy
Basic Enlightenment - Intelligence
Death starts with Ice Bolt spell.
NOTE: no more knights, please, they are eight

There's no way to add heroes unfortunately.

Carcity the Demon Lord (Carcity)
Biography: Carcity has a strange love for revolutions. Once he started a revolution against Kha-Beleth himself, but in the end he was defeated. Kha-Beleth didn't want to kill him, as he saw tremendous power and hatred in Carcity's eyes, so he decided to let him live so that he can bring devastation against his enemies. Being a revolutioner, Carcity likes to rush things before the enemy gathers too much forces, and has a strange love for War Machines.
Specialty: Revolutioner: Hero's movement points are increased by 5% instantly and an additional +1% per every four level. The War Machines under the Hero's command receive one more shot as well.
(Rusher - Grok)
Skills: Basic Gating
Basic Logistics
Basic Warmachines
Carcity starts with a Ballista.
Evil Lord the Demon Lord (Lord_Evil)
Biography: Also named "The Evil Lolcat", this demon lord's true name isn't known by anyone, not even by Kha-Beleth himself. The Evil Lolcat's favorite slaves are the Hell Hounds, because he wants to show to the others that cats are much better than dogs. Naturally, as slaves, this Hero's Hounds are much better trained than others that roam freely and sleep all day.
Specialty: Dog Slaver: All Hell Hounds and their upgrades in Hero's army have their Attack and Defense increased by 1 for every two levels of the Hero, starting on level one.
(Hound Master - Grawl)
Skills: Basic Gating
Basic Attack - Battle Frenzy
Evil Lord starts with a First Aid Tent.

I like the main biography but I don't think necromancy is not included in the "harvesting souls" job. You can say that I have been harvesting souls for my armies or to give me necromancy abilities.

Actually (no offence, just trying to purposefully sound obnoxious for once) you're wrong! You just need to add the hero with a new name into their faction's folder, then open data.pak\MapObjects\_(AdvMapSharedGroup)\Heroes and add their ID into the file Any.xdb and the faction of your choice.

You misunderstood the biography. You were a Necromancer when harvesting souls, a special one, but then you decided to become a normal one (because you materialized to Ashan)

1) I remember that each map has a Hero list. Thus if you don't add the new heroes there to each map, they won't show
2) What do you place in the InternalName field?

I think that only applies if you set <ScenarioHero> to true, though I've still got to test further.

Anything you like. It's just the name used in scripting, e.g. Laszlo is known as Mardigo in scripts, because Mardigo is his internal name.
