I started my first scenario with necropolis beacuse i remembered their power from H3 and H4 . I thought it will be a faction that i will easily win. And so it was in 1.2 v

The entire reason I bought Homm V was because of the Rakshasa Raja pic as one "Show Off" creatures of each faction on the cover. So academy was my first. XD

Heroes V: I played Haven, because i just got the game and strated the campaign.
Heroes III: Angels and Priests were my favourite faction back then, after that, in the next, H4 and H5 games that faction just wasnt teh same and as powerful so i lost my interest in it

clearly it was haven because you had him in the demo. But when the full game appeared, necro was the first I tested.
