Magic: the Gathering RPG - OoC
So, who's interested in an Rpg of Magic: The Gathering?
If you don't know much about the setting, most of the text below will sound like gibberish.
This is in-universe (that means only Vorthoses, please )
You'll play as planeswalkers, and the plot will take place on whatever plane the most recent M:tG expansion takes place on.
So, for example, right now the plot would focus on the plane of Shadowmoor, but the action would shift to Alara when the Shards of Alara is released (October 3rd).
Most of the creatures and spells you encounter will be from actual cards.
Your characters will be planeswalkers from after the sealing of the Dominarian rifts, so you won't be all-powerful masters summoning creatures to fight for you- you'll be more like the planeswalker cards from Lorwyn (which are still pretty powerful).

The game will not be all that combat-heavy, this is not a DnD dungeon crawl.

Name : Vandious
Color : Green/Red
Background : Having grown up in an elven villiage it is unusual that he would have found himself dawn to the power of red magic. However, Vandious was an unusual person. His first duty is to the earth and protecting it, but he is not afraid to unleash the wrath of fire to accomplish his goals. For after every fire there is a rebirth, and birth in any form is always something to be celebrated.
Powers : His specialty seems to be creatures that trample others underfoot.

If Dominaria, what continent matters also.
Oh, and could you tell why Vandious is on Shadowmoor?

Um not sure to be honest. Been a long time and never got into the lore. Just loved the game. So, feel free to use your imagination.
As for why he is there..he left his homeland because they were too passive about protecting their lands. He fells violence should be met with violence, and they don't.

Okay, then you're a Dominarian elf from the forest kingdom of Llanowar - your average wood/forest elf.
We'll need a few more characters if this game is to work properly... but we can have a sort of prologue-ish thingy centered on Vandious only.
Shadowmoor 101: Shadowmoor is a twisted, nightmarish world populated by strange creatures from the darkest of fairy tales. Its based off Celtic myths and legends, as well as some of the more malevolent beasties from European folklore and fairytales. Its got Kelpies, Nucklavees, Gwyllions, Pucas, Noggles, and Duergar, to name but a few of its stranger inhabitants, in addition to its of more traditional fantasy races (elves, treefolk, etc.)

Why? She's not that imba! She's just a creation of Ixidor, so definitely, Ixidor is the one who is IMBA!
Anyways, if this game gets going, I think I would like to have a blue/white character or a mono blue one. Good or bad I don't really care. I'm really sorry but I lost track in MTG now. And I have no idea about the new characters. I was very active during Odyssey to Kamigawa block, and yeah I know the story

I've had only a small amount of experience with magic. (an occasional game with friends at school) I know pretty much nothing as far as lore goes. But I'll see how this turns out.
Name: Tanahn
Gender: Male
Color of Mana: Red/Black
Race: Faerie
Backstory(partial, at the very least): Growing up, Tanahn was not one to embrace the logic of his peers. The technology was kind of fun, but was too much of a hassle to deal with when he tried to do anything with it. Chaos, and the impulsive actions of those living in the mountains, drew were far more attractive to him.
Why is your character on Shadowmoor? Not sure.
Powers: Not sure.

Good, another potential player...
Red/black doesn't have any specific race... over the years of Magic, its had more species than I can think of right now. Colors or color combinations do not define races; colors represent philosophies (and types of magic). Individuals of any race may believe in any color.

Have you checked the color pie above? A red/black faerie is a selfish, chaotic, impulsive, amoral cute little winged sprite.
That actually sounds pretty cool  .

Btw, multicoloring is not required. And you can multicolor enemy colors (colors that are not next to each other on the color pie)

B-E-T-A, You're welcome to join.
Since all planeswalkers are, at heart, mages (even if they're also warriors), 'powers' means magical abilities. Also, most planeswalkers have the ability to summon creatures to fight for them, so if your character is this type of planeswalker, 'powers' also means specialization in creature summoning.
Blue/black philosophy here (again, no need to read it all).
