Okay.. What about this Necropolis?
Necro Town
Level 1
1) Zombie(Walker)(%Disease-Makes Infected enemies weaker and weaker every turn they are diseased)(Movement-3)
1) Skeleton Archer(Shooter)(Skeleton Archers are immune too arrows and magic arrows)(Movement-8)
2) Nosferatu(Flyer)(Lifesteel-When he hits an target the damage done will be absorbed into the vampires.)(Movement-12)
2) Lich(Caster)(Has an spellbook. This spellbook only has poison based spells)(Movement-7)
3) Black Knight(Walker)(Same abilities as he had in homm3.)(Movement-12)
3) Banshee(Flyer)(%Death Scream-All Enemies on screen will get damage)(Movement-7)
4) Grim Reaper(Caster)(Has it's own spellbook with death spells in it.)(Movement-10)
4) Bone Dragon(Flyer)(%Old Breath-He will older the enemy troops. So that they will slow down for ˝ of their speed.also their attack will be halved and their defence aswel.)(Movement-17)
Zombie-This rotten corpses are always hungry. They are always hunting the living in search of their flesh and blood. They maybe are very slow.. but beware. zombies have superhuman strenght so your surrounded there is no way out.. They are very unfresh.. So if they touch you you will be sick in few minuts. This disease will slowly kill you. And make your body roth while not even death! So you are rotting alive!
Skeleton Archer-The Evil necromancers used their surprime powers on the death archers of human kind. Too rise them as skeleton archers. While this was done the skeletons had the same archer skills as their former human version. Skeletons don't kill for flesh,they kill for joy! They like too torcher the souls out of the living. The best way too kill a skeleton is too slash off their head. But this is not easy! Skeletons are fast! And they have ranged weapons... Good luck!
Nosferatu-This vain version of the vampire is even worser in behavior. They love blood! By the smell of it they are already close too it. Worser is that they were once night creatures.. but some spell turned them into immortal creatures.. That could live in night but also could stand the burning light of the sun. This makes them twice as dangerous. Because the vampires already aren't easy too kill when it's nighttime. And now even light can't stop them! They ofcourse still have the ability too turn into a bat at any time. This makes them weak...but also very fast!
Lich-Liches were once rich Overlords.. But their selfish behavior driven them too madness. They always were surching for more and more power and money. Something has driven them so far that they wanted too become liches. They sold their soul too the poison lord Archos too gain his powers over poison and acid. Now they are very powerfull undead wizards. With fully controll over spells about poison. They joined the necromancers into battle. Too gain even more power and land.
Black Knight-Black Knights are undead Nights.They are raised by the necromancers too work for them as hireable killers. They kill on command. Their swords carry the heat of hell because they are made there.. They are headless and riding upon giant black steads trained in hell. They are best in cutting off heads. Mostly only the sight of them is already fatale!
Banshee-This pretty female ghost have a voice that can kill! Normally they only scream when somebody was suppose too die.. But now. The fate has changed them. And Evil has charmed them too their side. Now the banshees uses their fatal voices against the forces off good. And even a fully grown titan can't stand the sound off the banshees schreek.
Grim Reaper-Reapers normally only be seen by dieing people. They collect the souls of the death and bring them too hell.. But now.. Reapers are all on free food. Something broke the spell. And now reapers are part of the undead armies. Collecting souls of the ones that weren't suppose too die.. Their Scyth is very sharp an can easially rip you into peaces. But they aren't only good at fighting.. They are also suprime mages. Putting evil spells over their victims.
Bone Dragon-Not many necromancers have the skills too raise a death dragon. But some of them have those powers. When the dragon is raised it will fight mindless for the undead army. These giant skeleton collossus have development a very dangerous breath. When humans or any other creature gets something of it inside his body there life will be multiplied into 70 years. So they will become very old or even skeleton or worser... When old they doesn't have many strenght and defence nor speed anymore.Then they are killed easily by the rest of the death armies..
Inferno Hell Town
1) Imp(Teleporter)(Imps Multiply when touching fire. So when you put an fire spell on them they will multiply.Also imps absorb mana when used by enemies.They hate Gremlins and do extra damage too them)(Movement-13)
1) Magog(Shooter)(Magogs can throw fire balls at enemies. And these fireballs will explode and also do damage too the surrounding ENEMY units)(Movement-7)
2) Cerberus(Walker)(They can attack 3 units at once But only when facing 3 enemies They also can cast bone prison on a enemy.)(Movement-8)
2) Gargoyle(Flyer)(Can turn into a statue. This statue can't be attackt by weapons or claws. But magic can still harm it)(Movement-11)
3) Efreet(Caster)(They can use any inferno spell based on fire and also can % use curses on the enemies.)(Movement-14)
3) Succubus(Flyer)(They will charm male units,So they can't attack her.She also does many damage too male units.Her weakness are other females tought..)(Movement-14)
4) Balrog(Flyer)(% Too cast inferno upon a enemy group This inferno will also hurt surrounding enemies that stand close too the victim. They also have an unholy aura that will lock all special abilities that rest on % off the enemy units)(Movement-16)
4) Devil(Caster)(WHATEVER you wish!! Devils are boring.......)(Movement-17)
Imp-Centuries ago, when men were foolish and practiced the demonic magics, it was common to invoke lesser demons and subdue them in order to gain their power. Fooled by the Imps' small stature, sorcerers underestimated their powers and often summoned them to serve as familiars. Once lulled into trusting these clever and conniving demons, the master would find his will subjugated by that of his "servant," who would then vivisect him and create numerous homunculi from the pieces. In time, these homunculi would grow into other Imps. Aware that its size is a liability in battle, an Imp uses magic to teleport and also can absorb magic and they multiply in fire when doing this they can create whole armies!
Magog-Magogs once were elvish warriors. They were imprissoned by the higher demons, and then tortured and thrown into the flames of hate. The results were magogs. Magogs are evil demons that can commant and use the flames of hell. There hands are always burning and their souls were burned into the flames of hate. So that their character became evil and ugly.
Cerberus-This 3 headed dog that guarded the portal to hell, is captured and then copies were made from the drool and blood off the beast.. Then they killed the original version who was tamed by hercules and only his clones are the prove of his existance. His clones were somehow improved, they have a bigger size, a bigger taste for meat, and they have the ability too form obstacles out of bones. So they can create a prison made of bones around the enemies too trap them inside. And then eath them with their 3 hungry wolf heads.
Gargoyle-Many Warlocks wanted that their castle was guarded well.. The best way too do this was by creating 2 gargoyles, but this wasn't a easy task! To succide this they must collect the spirits of a raging demon and the substance obsidian, that is made by a powerfull vulcano. Then they must create a statue out of the obsidian and put a spell too combine the demon spirit and the statue togheter, so that they were bounted. When finished the results were perfect. Now some spies for the Demons have stolen this formulia and have created their own gargoyle army.Gargoyle have the ability too turn into a stone statue. And their claws are razorsharp.
Efreet-Efreets are very rare, but they are extremly dangerous as well.. Efreets are created When a person with an evil will summons a genie, this genie will become an efreet. And it will kill his so called master, then he is free, and kills people for fun. Efreets can kill by their own immagenation. And forfill their own evil wishes. They are extremly dangerous! They were charmed into the forces of hell. Because the demon masters needed such greath powers too destroy the entire world.
Succubus-This are without any doubt the most beautifull demons known.. Too bad they are the most deadly aswel, they charm good hearted males too the side of evil with their evil tricks. Succubi are very vain, and they always want too become more beautifull, this fact makes them more dangerous, because the way to do this is to steal the souls of human males. This already happens when kissing one! When the soul is stolen they gain power and even more beauty.The succubus uses some kind of illusion too hide their demon wings on their back and their heads, because this makes them less attractive.
Balrog-This are simply the biggests and strongest demons known. Mostly they are seen with giant swords or whips that are redhot of the fire that burns on them. Balrogs have giant wings made from shadows and the hate they carry. And even the other demons fear their appearance. Balrogs are mostly seen in the hottest and darkest pits of hell.
Devil-Llalalalalalala Why the devil has too be in the hell armies?  ((( I hate devils. But I can't replace them..
Okay the devils are the surprime leaders of hell. They commant and charm all other demons to the side of evil. Ow.. And legends tell about the fact that devils once were angels. That are fallen out of heaven. And then burned themself too fallen angels. AKA devils.

What I'm saying about Vampires...
My whole thing with "only one twenty-fourth of a second" refers to the geeky look of the Vampire:
The weird cock of the head and obtrusive adam's apple are awful. Then, the way the eyes are almost shooting out laser beems adds to the geekiness, along with the gaping mouth.
What I'm saying is the Vampire will only have these awful features for 1/24 seconds and then will look better.
Is it, however, the tuxedo that irks most people here the most? If so, I couldn't care less what the Vampire's wearing. He will be wearing this throughout his entire animation(until he turns into a bat), and I like it. It makes him look like the steriotypical Halloween vampire. And I happen to like the steriotypical Halloween vampire. It's also a Bela Lugosi Dracula look, and I think Bela Lugosi was the best actor of the 20th Century.
Also, the tux is basically what the Heroes II Vampires wore, and I've heard people comment that they liked those better than the Heroes III ones. You got you're wish.

Actually as we discussed this before, the Vampire does NOT wear a tuxedo. He wears a fine black cape and has his hair slicked back, but he does not wear a tuxedo... if what I saw was correct anyway. And the fact that he is still and not in animation does not change the fact that he looks sloppy and the very fact he looks stereotypical and almost cartoonish drives me crazy.
My two cents again.

It's just a fact..
Vampires are hard to make in games.. Because their mayor things are their fangs.. But that is hard to see when the creatures are very small.. The vampire could have other clothes.. But the black cape is perfect.. His hair style could be more rough and I think they must cut the thing around his neck..

yeah, balrog might be interesting for inferno lev4. but if we compare a balrog to the prime evil (the devil which should be morkoth in the tolkien's sense, i guess), the devil should be stronger, i guess. so balrog sounds just like another unicorn to me.. but the second inferno lev4 is a tough question.
or the devil and angels might be summonable, so they would be above other creatures in that town and would also be immortal (they leave before they die). you might be able to summon the devil by sth like sacrifice and when fighting against heaven army (or maybe any non-inferno army). devil would reduce the opponent moral and maybe raise demons, maybe sth like the pit lord. maybe the angel could be summoned if the opponent has summoned devil. and the angel would boost moral and resurrect.
lich on lev2.. what is the lich really about.. i am completely ignorant in mythology, including the poison lord archos, so i know lich just from the nethack game (one of the strongest monsters there btw, death touch and teleport, etc).
btw moral -2 or -3 might have been a nice special ability for ghost dragon in homm3 imho.

true, it's the clothing i don't like about the vamp. and whatever it is called, those clothes are just too modern in the homm atmosphere. i don't have the english skills to get into details, but it also has a batman or superman look. those two were lawful futuristic fantasy creatures btw, and not undead at all.

if i say it all out, i don't like the tradition of vampires (and other fanged creatures) grinning all the time, making them look like some immatures trying to look evil. imho it is possible to make a nice vampire without fangs showing all the time. a suitable style nobleman with a creepy pale face and dark cape about it's body should be enough, and the animations show the rest. and if it's still not enough to distinguish between vampires and other creatures (in the game, not in rl), you could have a label 'vampire' appear when you move your mouse cursor over it or sth.
btw there's nothing very strange about wielding a whip and a sword at the same time, as far as i have heard wielding a sword and a chain type weapon is considered on of the most challenging issues in martial arts.

Hmm another idea!
Maybe they could have a medallion around their necks. That medallion can make them immune for sunlight. Because in real the vampire is a night creature... Then that stupid red thing around it's neck(what makes him look gay, could be easily cut!)

What is that thing with Bela Lugosi and what does a second class actor have to do with this game?So, De Niro is nomero uno in the movie business, why not let it look like him? Get serious. As a matter of fact, the head and the cape and also "that thing" around his neck are good.The rest is trash. But then again, that's only my thinking.

I have another idea for this Inferno-Necropolis city. We don't need to remove Inferno out of Necropolis. Since both Inferno and Necropolis creatures are from another dimension so we need portals. So my idea is that in HOMM IV Necropolis, before you can build creature generators, you have to build either portall to hell or portal to (what ever that place are, where undead people come). So if you build portal to death, you can choose between Skeletons and Zombies as 1st level creatures, if portal to hell, Imps and Magogs.

Ok, but that sounds like having two different towns...the way it should be, by the way. So why not have two separate towns then? Because the 3do got bored of designing necro and hell stuff if you ask me...most of the creatures expelled from the game are from this area if you will pay a little attention.

i guess vlad must be right about them getting bored with inferno and necro creatures, why else do we have venom spawn and bone dragon's bones in the wrong place (they would have just needed to open any book on anatomy.. or even just an encyclopedia *weep*).

I think that the venom spon is a thing that doesn’t fit to heroes, I mean it's yucky on the inside and on the outside, but the venom spon looks good in my opinion.

I guess that venom spawn is one of that creatures that are so easy to create that you won't even have to think when you design it; it is so amorphe that it's fairly easy to draw, the color is uninspired and the name is pompous and awfull....most boring creature ever.

In the beginning of this thread I said that the Venom Spawn looked like smoething that belong to the Zerg in Starcraft. I still think so, I can see that green goo splashing up after being hit by the shells from the Ghosts Canister Rifle.......
Venom Spawn is a Zerg, End of story!

as for the Vamp... methinks the head and that bow tie are way out of place... bring the good ol' HoMM2 vamp (still a classic but way better than b-movie Dracula)

Well now im really upset!
Ive Played starcraft since the release and personally I think its the best game ever made followed by Diablo.
So a green goo which shoots spines most like the hydralisk,
DO (!) belong to the Zerg....
And everybody thinks different OK!

SC is a great game... but I doubt that the Overmind or Kerrigan would ever absorb VS's genetic code into the Zerg genepool... most Zergs look like insectoids anyway...
but since this is a HoMM board...
