You both have the same version right? Can't play if one has hof and the other tote for instance.

1) As a dedicated fan base, we tend to get latest patches as soon as they are launched. So yes, most of us have 1.6
2) I would like play with you. Do you use Hamachi?
3) Do you have ToTE (Tribes of the East, the second add-on)? It's by far the most played Heroes game these days.

Heroes - Hamachi
Hi everybody, and lots of thanks to Zamfir and all of those who posted useful information on this topic. Well, the thing is that I've read all your posts, but still didn't find a solution to my problem. My friend and I are trying to play Tribes Of The East LAN, by using Hamachi but it just dosen't seem to work. The connection is ok (Hamachi), we have the same Heroes version, but no matter who creates the game, the one who has to join it doesn't see the created game. We even have the same maps in the Maps folder. Any ideas???

Make sure you use the same version of hamachi, preferably Hamachi v.1.0.1.5.
If you can't see each other then that's definetely not an issue with maps/mods, most likely hamachi version.

Well, we do have the same hamachi version: 1.0.1.5. It's still not working, we can't see each other. Does anyone now how to solve this?

Did either of you mess with or mod the game files? Nothing in the usermods folder and no messing with the data.pak.
I usually put in only the map I'm playing. Even if you have the same maps with a bunch there is more chance for conflict. Also, try a new hamachi server name, sometimes that works wonders.
Edit: also make sure one of you is not looking duel list, instead of standard etc.

Playing in ubi sucks  Besides there is not much to say, you type the key, login and look for an opponent..

If it's not, (and nowhere else), I must say it's the first time I hear about something like that.
And about the missing parts, I wasn't very active lately on HC, I plan to finish this guide.

help me
Hi al I am new to this community and i maked this account with a reason.I have a problem playing Heroes 5 Tribes of the East online (with Hamachi version 1.0.1.5)with a friend(my friend has the same newtwork connection and its close to my home).When I create the game and he seas the game created and when he trays to join the game an error apears the error its like this "Client game database checksum does not match Host Game Database checksum - check installed Mods and Patches Error code 0.2.0" thats the error  and when my friend creats the game the same error apears.We have the same heroes 5 Tribes and we have the game patch Version 3.1(we have onley this version of the game patch i this its onley 1 version 3.1).I trayed connecting with my firewall off and its the same problem the same goes to my frind withouth firewall on.Please help me with my problem and sorry for the long text 
And anouther thing we dont have any Mods the folder is empty

Either a mod or one of you has a custom map in the folder that you do not. Many custom maps are modded and cause the game version to not match so only have the map you are playing inside. Alternatively too many saves in the save folder can cause a mess, if you delete or move them it can also help.

Yes I have some copied maps for web sites and have some saved games buth when I play with hamachi I dont use the copied maps I use the same maps as my friend maybe it could be the copied maps from my game folder that may interfiere with the game?
