I liked the way they looked beneath my avatar, the way I could easily find the threads I've gained qps in and how it made Hc distinct from other communities.

To be honest: I don't care much about this systems, what would be better for HC let be. But to be ultimately honest, so far I liked QP system more... So I won't vote so far, I have to see what will be the upcoming system.

When you see the reactions from some of the members today, I'd said you'd better let the QP system out. It seems like a lot of members feel arrogant when they've QPs, and now when they've lost them they feel like regular people, which shouldn't be a bad thing.

Edna is wrong. It's easy to sit there and flap the hole in your face about it when you haven't made 20+ paragraph faction threads and such. Sure, they were done because it's fun, but having the QP was satisfactory. I am very discontent that they're gone.

@Zamfir: Edna said some, so you shouldn't get angry on that. But the fact that you got actually tells me you really loved your QPs but kept it to yourself (and thus hide your 'bragging')
Why would you care so much if you 'lost' them otherwise? Care to elaborate why? You could complain about the penalties you received - such as 20 post limit - and I'd understand. But those that complain about the QPs themselves are clearly loving the QPs too much and make good posts only for QPs. At least from my point of view.

I do like the QP's, I've never pretended otherwise. When you make a 30 freaking paragraph post, having the QP brings a nice sense of satisfaction to it. It's a digital token, but it has aesthetic value to it.

Sigh, well it was inevitable.
I feel both sides have a point but we can't teeter on one side forever. i fear the same arguments may pop up again and this whole drama will reemerge.

I know this is kind of a jarring transition. I think so too. We should really have discussed this more in the Squad before passing sentence on all of HC for the crimes of a relative few, but Val's word is law here and I will respect it even though I disagree with it. Hell, I can even see where the other side is coming from.
QPs did make HC a more unique forum, but saying that this is the end of some kind of era here is really kind of shallow when you think about it. I mean, what's really changed? QPs and their bonuses are gone and those bonuses are now given on a broader basis. Good posting is still rewarded, it's just not quantified by little symbols anymore and is not as readily employed as a status symbol that has divided members for years. Be patient and just post as you have and you'll find there are pros to this system too.
Now, this isn't to say that we should give up on QPs either. I'll keep advocating for the restoration of red stars in the Squad, although it will probably take a bit of time on the new system before any kind of decision can be made about whether the benefits of this system outweigh those of the QP system. Who knows, QPs could someday be restored, but probably not if people continue to make a scene about them. After all, people making scenes was what got us to this point in the first place. 
Just wait and see, I think you'll find that Val was truly looking out for the good of HC by making this move. You may even come to like this new system, given time.
