There are a couple other pics [gone] and [gone]. They were taken just before heading off to the Ren Faire. I don't look so great, but my dress (homemade) came out nicely.

Am I Allowed To Comment On Your Dress?
I would like to seek your permission to comment on your dress for the ren fair. Can I? I will be honest as usual. If you say "no" then I will respect your wishes ofcourse.

@PH - funny, because the avatar is one of the things that hinted at female the most (because I can recognise the gender of a manga character I RULE! )

Renaissance Fair Attire
Khaelo,
I am not certain that this dress is quite right for the fair you visited. I think it's a common misconception of people who attend these wonderful events to incorporate modern technology and wealth into an ancient style of clothing.
I think the dress is too shiny. While I am certain that silk clothing existed during the renaissance time period, I am not certain it was a common thing to wear. I'm sure a citizen of nobility might adorn such shimmering attributes on occasion but I believe for the most part the average commonness of the people was more closely to the surface of reality than a modern day nylon or polyester-made dress that has such lusterous properties.
Hmm, I would, otherwise, characterize the fluffy white hemline to be more associated with a wedding than a period of time in history in which most weddings were performed in the cheapest of circumstances.
The cloth necklace band seems appropriate and I think it brings out your eyes which, if I may say, are striking in a purple dress shimmering brightly with glimmering sheen and elegance.
My point is, I think you look dashing but I don't think the dress is appropriate for a renaissance fair event. I also think that I see this a lot at many fairs. Ah well, can't get too worked up about young fans these days.

Can you guys stop seeing Khaelo, so that I can take a look at her?

Re: gender. To my eye, the avatar is androgynous, which is part of the reason I picked it. So, no offence taken. It's funny how people try to figure out gender online, huh?
Re: age. I'm [XX]. Apparently, I look younger than I am.
Re: dress. LoL! Consis, have you looked into the Society for Creative Anachronism? That's where most of the real medieval-history buffs are, not the Ren Faires and certainly not the MN Faire. Actually, I didn't make this dress for the Ren Faire..it was a fun project. The Faire was just a neat place to show it off. I knew it was out of period for the Renaissance, although not to the detail you've provided (thanks!). Fortunately, the MN Ren Faire is heavily fantasy, not history. Among other interesting costumes, someone was wandering about in a "barbarian fairy" outfit: skimpy leather, fur trim, and gauze wings.

Khaelo, I did get a look at your beautiful dress, and I think it beats the hell out of "Barbarian Faery."
Consis, methinks youthinks too much. But don't be offended; it takes one to know one; alas 'tis an affliction from which many of us suffer, myself included...
At our last Renaissance Festival in Lockspur, there was a guy dressed as either a bear or a great big boar all huge and furry with tusks and a club, guarding the women's room door and scaring the hell out of everybody who tried to get in.
He chased me several hundred feet when I tried to pass him.
I almost peed my pants.

Finally, with that pesky bandwidth gone, I can see yet another face of a HC member. And this one's something. Khaelo, you have the most seductive look I've ever seen.
Bout the dress - though not to my liking, it is rather interesting piece of fiber. but certainly not a topic for a whole poem.(ahh, Consis)
btw, say hallo to milo and polo for me.
