Yeah. I trust Aftonbladet and the Palestinian people better then the Israli governent.

In yesterday's Aftonbladet called editors Helle Klein and Jan Helin statements by Foreign Minister Carl Bildt after Ambassador Elisabet Borsiin Bonniers attack on Aftonbladet's culture article on Monday.

Now answer Bildt on the editors concerned. He published the text on her blog. nn While writing Aftonbladet Peter Kadhammar on the debate that really should be but are now gone completely in the shadows.

Yesterday I called to Rolf Carlman, diplomat in Swedish Consulate General in Jerusalem. He is responsible for Swedish aid to the Palestinians in the besieged Gaza Strip and the occupied West Bank.

Carlman was declared.

Last winter break Israel bombed large parts of the civilian infrastructure in Gaza. Now, the devastation of the area through a blockade where israel are only let in the minimum required, so that people are not starving to death.

- Virtually any form of reconstruction is stationary. Life stands still.

Carlman laughed dry the phone.

- We have taken into flour but not macaroni. Do not ask me why. Israel may think that macaroni is unnecessary luxury.

No petrol
I asked him to provide some easy-to-understand figures, the dimensions of the devastation in Gaza. He fell silent. It is not so easy to describe figures in a dry sandy area with 1.5 million people who are trapped and have nothing to do.

- All normal economic activity is death. Even before the bombing last winter was 90 percent of the business angle. Since destroying israel of most industrial facilities that were physically.

Israel does not permit international humanitarian organizations to bring in pipes for sewage and irrigation. Nor fertilizers. Not cement. Not gasoline.

Nine out of ten residents of Gaza are dependent on food from international aid organizations in order not to starve.

- Basic functions, said Carlman. People are not hungry. Most needed for schools, hospitals and reconstruction in general is released not through.

In essence, the war file from the Palestinian Hamas against Israel ceased, said Carlman.

So why strangle Israel Gaza?

- As far as I understand, they consider that the financial help strengthen Hamas. They also say that they do not open the border until the kidnapped soldier Shalit is released.

Eleven civilians shot to death
When we had put on the button I made the U.S. organization Human Rights Watch website.

It is only a week ago, the organization published a report that Israeli soldiers during the offensive in Gaza shot and killed eleven o'clock civilians who waved white flags. Five were women and four were children.

Then I went in to a website belonging to the Israeli organization Peace Now. It will document the illegal Israeli settlements in Palestinian West Bank.

Settlements began six months after the Israeli occupation of West Bank in 1967.

The settlers are illegal colonial abusers and their number has steadily increased, the peace negotiations or not peace negotiations, regardless of the government that had power in Israel. Last year the number of settlers 285 800.

Israel controls 60 percent of the West Bank. That does not mean that the Palestinians are free of 40 percent: lots of road blocks and lock in the towns and villages means that no viable society can occur as long as the occupation persists.

A storm - against Aftonbladet
There I have spoken of here in a hurry is the events of global importance.

But when Aftonbladet publishes a culture article a number of questions about Israel's treatment of Palestinians killed a storm breaks loose - to Aftonbladet.

Instead of discussing Israeli policy against the Palestinians, we get a bogus debate about "antisemitism".

debate about "antisemitism".

Funny thing, Arabs are semetic people and antisemitism used to refer to anybody with origins from the middle east.

Just pointing it out.

Anyway, yes there are problems, yes corrupt politicians are preventing the Palestinians from getting the land they deserve back, yes those same politicians are endangering Israeli lives by doing so, it doesn't mean that it's true that organs are being harvested by soldiers (at least, not that we know of. There may be a rotten apple or two). It's not a government endorsed thing like the Chinese government's organ harvesting of Falun Gong members (which again, people don't care about. I'm positive Israel would not encourage such a policy as it would completely ruin all credibility the nation would have).

People really shouldn't generalize all the Arab nations as terrorists. Terrorists are extremists that operate outside of society's norms and yes, condemn themselves in the process. Terrorism is a disgusting practice and it hurts and targets the people who it "champions" even more than it does the "infidel". It's a disease that needs to be wiped off the earth, but that's not cause to prevent innocent people from living on the lands their family had for generations. Peace is possible, we we need to introduce proper education first. We need to find a way to teach Palestinians to stand up against (instead of shrinking down and hiding from) people who would "champion" their cause, only to blow more of them up than anybody else, with the remaining minority of uneducated going down a terrible extremist path.  I've met many Israelis and many Arabs, all nice people. Some weren't even the religion they are stereotyped to be. Common sense needs to prevail. Unfortunately there are too many people stoked against it and their own people's long term best interests.

You know very well the power of media nowadays. If you talk about it with your buddies on the phone, fine, no harm done. But when one of the biggest newspaper in Sweden prints that stuff then many Swedes start to think that way too because they don't have anything else to rely upon.

Even though I have my issues with Avigdor Lieberman - our Minister of Foreign Affairs, I agree with one of the things he said about the matter: "Freedom brings with it responsibility. The freedom of speech is not the freedom to write whatever you want, but the freedom to report the truth."

(Head of State in Swe is Fredrik)

Fredrik Reinfeldt to Aftonbladet, on the occasion of Israel's demands on the Swedish government to condemn an article, published in Aftonbladet's culture pages on Monday:

- First, no one can ask the Swedish government to violate basic laws of Sweden. And freedom of expression is enshrined in the Swedish constitution and is an inalienable part of the Swedish democracy. It works so that the government, regardless of political color, takes no publication decision and review nor individual publications. However, we have a free society. You can go and enjoy and respond to things that often leads to a feel offended or abuse in the wrong way. And there is nothing strange about it happening in the current debate, too.

- The second thing that is important to say about Sweden is that we have been concerned about a way to live in Sweden, to show respect for differences, which have different religious beliefs, which have different political views, living side by side and in mutual respect. The open social climate, we shall also be in the future. Do not this, you do not see how Sweden works, it becomes perhaps the image, the accusation is incorrect. Therefore, it is important to say that these starting points are important to us in Sweden.

How do you see the relationship between Sweden and Israel, after what has happened?

- We have every ambition to have good relations with Israel. We would like to be a positive force if we can, we and the EU, the Middle East. We want good relations with both Israel and the Palestinian side. We also have an ambition to have a good relationship with the Muslim world.

Oh, please, I guess it must suck living in a first world country with universal health car where the government tries to do nice things, since the socialist party has been in power for damn near a decade.
