Time Machine
Let's play a little game.
Every once in a while, I pick a random controversial subject from somewhere in the past. Colonization, imperialism, the civil war etc. All of these will focus on an issue which was prominent and quite important at the time.
Before the start of the discussion, I will give every player a role. Pro or anti-slavery, for or against participation in World War 1, and similar. The task of the players is to put themselves in the skin of people back then and present their arguments the best they can, trying to prove the other side wrong - this should be done regardless of how the player actually feels about the topic. If a player is a liberal, but he gets the role of a southern landlord convinced that slaves should be the basis of the nation's economy, he's ought to roleplay it to the best of his ability.
After a while, I decide which side has better arguments and start a new topic.
I think it might turn out rather fun if we do it right. Who's in?

Alright, since the first thread seemingly became quite a success, and since the quality of posts and level of roleplay looks great, I may have a hard time judging about which side has better arguments.
So, I'm going to need two members to help me with judging. Anyone interested? Alas, we appear to have a shortage in funds so you'll have to volunteer - but as soon as we get serious sponsors, you'll be compensated for your efforts.
Also always remember, everyone, that you can gain the upper hand by proving rival participants wrong and attacking their arguments (in a civil way of course)

Well I can judge if you like.
I have judged many of the Heroes town creations which people respected my honest opinions & what was lacked.
On this, it depends on the point of view & who makes a better point.
