Glenn was about to chase after the bug as hit blow landed far off, but remembered his dream throughout the night. He could help some of those that looked as though they could land a powerful hit. He looked around, and the one who looked as though they would benefit the most was Mark.
Glenn maneuvers through the swamp, and approaches Mark. He casts a blessing upon him.

Feeling a strange power surge within himself, Mark decided to attack. Once again, he charged serpentfly 3, but right before he was about to swing, he turned and attacked the nearby serpentfly 1.

Glenn heals Jack (+6 HP) and the party swiftly finishes off the rest of the flying serpents.
“Thanks mate,” Jack responds.
A quick search of the dead serpents reveals their gullets are filled with shiny things—ranging from glittering beetles and small, shiny fish, to twisted pieces of metal and even a few coins.
((10+3+6+2+1+4+5 = 31 gold. Let me know how you want to split it up, guys.
Also, del, let me know if you want to exercise your hunting skill whenever your character assists with looting bodies—and that goes for anyone else who gets that skill.))

There was quite a bit of glinz and glanz here, but what was bothering was that the fingers was itching to do something on these beasts. Something like attempting to skin them or something.
(Yes i want to use my hunting skill).

Rikudo has no luck with the skins of the things—the battering the party gave the creatures ruined most of the usable hide—but with a bit of luck and care he is able to cut the fangs out of some of the more intact carcasses. ((+4 pairs of Serpentfly fangs))
((Will give another day or so for input on gold allocation so more of you can weigh in; besides the loot, all present gain 400 XP.))
((Emerald Island, on the beach. 9:12AM))
Rikku and Dr. Viktor von Doom awaken on the north-western shore of the island, having been washed there by tide and current. Their last, most prominent memories before awakening on the beach are of clawing to the sea’s surface, having suddenly awakened underwater around midnight that day.
They find themselves at the foot of an obviously-abandoned tower, its walls stained by age and the sea. Beyond it lies a swamp, from which an insect-like buzzing drifts over the roar of the waves. Fortunately a cool sea-breeze dissipates most of the smell.

Victor Von Doom didn't want to open his eyes just yet. Instead he tried to go over his last memories and make at least some sense of it all. As he lay there on the shore the cool morning breeze chilled his face, he could hear the sound of waves nearby, the sun gently warmed his skin... Dr. Doom opened his eyes in shock. The breeze chilled his face? The sun warmed his skin? He quickly threw his arms to his face. To his even greater surprise he felt skin touching skin. Dr. Doom jumped up and looked at himself - fair beautiful skin, long flowing hair, almost perfect complection... and no trace of high-tech armor whatsoever. Instead he was wearing simple medieval clothes, like those of a poor traveler. Dr. Doom ran to the sea. The waves made it hard to make anything our, but at last he managed to see his own reflection. His face was marvelous. The pointy ears looked weird, but there were absolutely no scars and he looked better than any man he saw before.
"I am beautiful!" He shouted, raising his arms into the air, "I am cured of the horrible scars that twisted my face for so long! I do not need to hide it from the world anymore! And yet... fate plays its cruel tricks on me. I should be enjoy my new-found beauty, but instead I'm worried about being in a strange land with no robots or even my armor. However, Doom will not bow to such twists of fate! This body feels powerful enough to sustain me and my intellect is as keen as ever! Wherever I am, I will find a way to get my hands on the ultimate power and become the rightful ruler of the world! For I am Doom!!"
He surveyed his surroundings and only then noticed another man lying on the shore. His complection was close to Doom's new body, but looked slightly more feminine. Doom grabbed a staff that lay near him on the ground when he awoke and pointed towards the stranger.
"Who are you and what do you about this place? Answer me!"

"I take it that the shiny stuff is of value, yes? If about every single of these beasts dropped some of it, the real question are others will do the same too. It seems insane, does that mean that these attack a non-aware population and eat this metal for fun? Well, i think we should either decide later on or split it equally now."

Rikku lay on the shore of the island, staring at the soggy ground beneath. With a heavy cough, water pours, then drips from the elf's mouth. Taking in air, the elf flips over, and looks to the sky. It looked nice. Far better than the feeling of drowning. What was with the drowning anyway? She had been able to hold her breath for a great deal of time in the recent past. What had changed?
Rikku sat up, looking around. The area almost looked like it was the Moonflow, but the structure nearby was not something seen there before.
"Frana yh E?"
The voice that was produced was not of her own. Grabbing at the neck, a different structure was felt, and something that didn't belong. Looking down at the shock, an even greater shock was seen; or, the absence of was seen. Flat. It was flat.
"Fryd ec kuehk uh rana?!"
Rikku then noticed the one who had just noticed her...or him, as the case would be.
'Who am I?' Rikku thought. 'That is a good question. I wish I knew. I wish I was myself, though, through some very weird circumstances, I appear not to be. Did I end up like Tidus, being sent by Sin, into the future? No. I would still be in my own body, if I had. Anyway, we destroyed Sin, for good.....Didn't we? Well, whatever the case, I don't feel like my normal Rikku self... A name... Well, maybe Tidus is somewhere around this place. Perhaps this man knows him. I might get some information if I use his name.'
"I am Tidus. Though, I don't know where this place is, or how I got here. I was kind of hoping you could help with that. Who are you?"
Rikku stands. The feeling is a very strange one. Though, the sight of the other man's ears is a bit more so. However, both pale in comparison as Rikku checks the ears of this new body she currently inhabits.
"Fro sa?"

The party divides up the spoils as evenly as possible and continues through the swamp.
((+5 gold to Brock, Kamahl, and Mark since they’re among the lowest GP-wise, +4 to everyone else in the Serpentfly-fighting group.))
After a little more trudging, the group begins to notice traces left by other people passing through. Most of these are obviously other groups of adventurers—hack-marks through thick areas of swamp brush, tight groups of adult-sized boot prints leaving trails—Abbadon even finds his own prints from the night before—but eventually Kamahl notices a strange marking on one of the trees. It’s a muddy handprint, either a child’s or a halfling’s—the print is too small to be from an adult, and too close to the ground.
((I’ll let Rikku and von Doom role-play for a bit.  If either of you need/want DM input, let me know.))

This man who called himself Tidus was in a body similar to Doom's and was clearly very much confused. Logic suggested that the same twist of fate befell him as well. Of course, without Doom's great mind, this man could not overcome his confusion so easily and therefore could prove to be a useful servant at least for the time being. Doom lowered his staff.
"My name is Victor Von Doom. It seems that the two of us share similar fates, Tidus. I assume that just like myself you have no idea where we are or how we have been brought here. But fear not, for if you follow me, I am certain that together we will the answers to our questions. So, what do you say, Tidus? Will you join me in our quest for truth?"

Rikku walks over to the water to get a look at the reflection looking back. It looked as though she had a partial transformation into a Ronso. Though, it was just the ears that changed, aside from the gender change. Rikku turns around, almost pouting at the situation she has now been placed under.
Similar fates? Rikku still wasn't so sure how similar they actually were. Victor seemed as though he was alright with his current situation. For all Rikku knew, Victor was all at home in that body of his. Just also placed in an unfamiliar area.
"Well, it may be better for our health if we travel together. Since neither of us know where we are, we don't know what we may be faced with."
Rikku looks around, and sees the layout of the nearby swamp, and the ruined tower nearby.
"So, do we want to chance the mysterious tower first, or see if we can find anyone that can help us with our situation around the place?"

Traveling together is not the same as following, but it was a start. Rome was not build in a day and Doom was certainly not one to rush things. In time he could make a good servant of that Tidus... First of all, however, he had to establish himself as the one taking the initiative.
"That tower may be abandoned, but it may still hold some maps or other documents that would give us some clue as to our current whereabouts. We should begin our search there.", Said Doom and without waiting for an answer began to move towards the tower.

Doom and Rikku make their way to the tower.
They find a broken-down shed nearby, its door unlocked but hanging off its hinges and spotted with moss. The interior has old tools hanging from the walls and vegetation growing thickly on the ground.
A peek inside the tower itself turns up two sets of stairs—one goes down to a room whose lock seems to have been vandalized in the recent past ((thanks to Abbadon getting locked in last night  )), the other’s rotted planks spiral up to an equally rotted floor above them. The ground floor is covered with debris; dirt, rotted wood, broken glass and other, less identifiable things, and the walls are burned in places. From the next floor up there are sounds of people carefully moving around and chatting to each other.

The chatter was indistinguishable, until a loud noise came from upstairs followed by an even louder voice:
"Careful, you fool! This floor is ancient. It's a miracle it's holding us as it is."
Immediately after hearing these words Victor Von Doom turned to his new companion and send a voice quiet enough not to be heard by anyone else:
"It seems we have company. I shall venture upstairs and see if I can... extract some information from these people. In the meanwhile, you - my dear Tidus, go and check the cellar to make sure no one can approach me from the rear. And see if there's anything useful down there, while you're at it."
Once again Doom did not wait for a response, he held his staff tighter and ascended the stairs as quietly as he could.
