((Can't remember a swamp ever being mentioned in the Elibe Fire Emblem games. And none of the landscapes really had them, so I will go with 'swamps is unheard of in Elibe'))
"Hmmm...S-W-A-M-P...?" Mark spelled the word "What does 'swamp' mean?" Seing other prepare weapons, Mark unsheated his axe and thought inside of himself "I hope using this is as easy as it looks..."

At those words kamahl nearly broke down... Swamps... the source of all that is dark and evil in his homeworld... he doesn't know what they are!
kamahl had to restrain himself from grabbing his staff and beating down the lucky man.
"Err yes, a swamp. Fetid water. Dying vegetation. a very evil place in general."
He withdrew his staff and proceeded to walk with the group.

Not being totally sure of the creatures' intentions, Glenn waits for one of them to make the first attempt at attacking. That, or one of his companions. Should it be required, he will jump at them, swinging his club at one.

- <edited> deathtrap!- Abaddon drawn out his blades. He really wished to have atleast a simple laspistol- quickly! Form a circle!- he looked at the serpentine creature, then at his weapons. He spat on the murky soil of the bog. The creatures were strange, insect like serpents with insect wings and eyes. They were poisonous, at least he thought so, and Abaddon had to take them on with nothing but two damn pig stickers! For someone used to fight in power armor and wielding deadly weapons such as the Talon, it was a real challenge to him, and he was glad that no other Chaos devotee sees him in such situation.

His body sort of took over at that point, falling just behind the others with his weapon drawn, ready to be a support person if needed. He didn't like the idea of fighting, for some reason. Especailly without any pokemon to rely on.

Some sort of awareness was kept, for he had managed to spot that these pests was coming from only 1 direction. The best chance they had was to form a wall against them, so it was to say loud enough just to make everyone hear: "Form a wall!" Which got a tone louder than needed.
But it was still some time left before those creatures had arrived at the close quarters, why was i so stupid that i did draw the axe? This was a job for bow and arrow, which i frankly did not knew how to use. But the body likely had some muscle memory on it regardless.

Kamahl's nerves tensed. It was just an attack on them. no need to worry. But kamahl did not trust his new body as much as his old one. He gripped the staff nervously and he could feel the energy, no matter how meek, flowing through him.

And it was time to wave the hand around, and be amazed over how these things refused to go down even if they was already dead. Oh wonderful.
And how come we where so stupid that we did not even attempt to fire at the creatures before that had come within bite range, one could only wonder.
A weirdly sounding "RHHHHHHHHHHHAHAHAA!!!!" warcry was left out and the axe was swinging, the bow was sort of sheated again.

Replies: "Jumping and spinning would not work properly, this weapon is to heavy and a too good natural extension of the arm to need more momentum than a short swing Jumping would only mean that you add on your entire weight to the swing, its too risky compared to what you get as a result."

Kamahl casts his spell, and a swarm of stinging insects is summoned upon the Serpentfly. The bugs don’t seem to do much damage, but they distract the creature sufficiently to draw its attention.

The flying snake is too nimble for Abbadon’s reflexes in this new body. However, it was plainly not expecting this sort of tactic, as the snake like-creature is taken by surprise and Abbadon manages to pin it down in the swamp muck.
