Now, leaving Flash disappointment for a while, let's discuss upcoming WCS 2015 changes!
Total player reset and severe region look (although koreans with visa could still play in other regions...in Europe).
What do you think?

All of this seems like a way to encourage more new players.
I'm not complaining. We will still have a lot of tournaments without region lock.

I'd need to know how many Koreans currently have visas to judge for myself. But the reset is good. I'd like to see a Round Robin format at around 16 players and maybe even 8 players ^^ I think that way you can't get screwed by getting too tough opponents in your group, and imho would clearly show the best top of players since the playing field is equal. Everyone would have played same opponents.

Storm you really should watch Flash vs. SoO game 1, since it is not blocked by paywall. Of course SoO is good, but these games were just... really good. SoO is definitely the best player up until finals in my eyes.
About new WCS changes, I am not sure... it can be good but it can be really bad too. I mean as Joonas said we will have many tournaments that won't be region locked, but at the same time a lot of Koreans will retire because they can't compete in Korean region and won't have enough money to keep traveling from tournament to tournament that will be outside of Korea.
I hope that I am wrong though and that scene will grow and become better.

We still don't have EXACT details, but with what they showed it looks next year we'll have the following situation:
WCS America: Polt, Violet, Scarlett and a few more will totally crush the rest of NA players. I predict a big drop in WCS AM interest due to the very low competition.
WCS Europe: It'll barely change from what it is now. GEM and mYi players are legal residents in Germany and Switzerland, so they could still compete.I don't know about others like Patient or MMA, but it'd still be a region where europeans would hold strong in early rounds but be beaten by koreans in the end.
Korea: Ah, this one is tricky. Since WCS 2013, Korea dropped vastly the number of tournaments. IF all koreans who where participating in WCS EU/AM (AM mostly) have to return to korea, and Korea keeps only THREE GSLs per year, we can but expect a massive retirement wave.
Korea needs more tournaments, be GSL, OSL or SpotTV Starleague. Most teams can't afford to send their players overseas, and only through invitations or paid travels (IEM, HSC) we see them (a few players travel more, but those are usually Life, DRG and such - players who started traveling way early in WoL and they have that 'status'...).
Since Blizzard learns reaaally slow, I predict Proleague awarding some WCS points but leaving Korea with 3 GSLs, which'd be a shame.
Unless Gom crashes and someone (wink wink spotTV) has to replace them, of course.
@RMZ: will do!

Exactly, it is hilarious that players like Hyun and MC are top 2 at the WCS rankings while Zest, Flash and some other top players aren't even close.
Korea definitely need more tournaments, and if they don't do that, as I said I can see a ton of them retiring straight away.

To be fair Zest earned a sweet amount of points, he's sitting on #7 spot right now. But it's true that the likes of Rain, Maru and such missing Blizzcon is a shame.
Hell, if we look at WCS Standings, the only players that are getting good results at GSL are:
Note: I only take into account players who got twice to Ro8 or won GSL
- Zest (#7):, 3 Ro8 or better GSL results + winning GSL GC + 2 IEM Events (Ro8, 2nd).
- soO (#12): if he loses both his next GSL and KeSPA Cup matches, he'll be OUT of Blizzcon. A two time GSL Finalist (and Ro8 this GSL) who also got semifinals at GSL GC...
- Classic (#13): GSL winner, but if he screws in KeSPA Cup he also would be out, lol
- Rain (#19): basically needs to win either GSL or KeSPA Cup to get into Blizzcon
- Solar (#22): only a GSL victory would carry him to Blizzcon...wait, I think he played in DH too. Big results on both of them could get him too, but it's going to be though.
- Maru (#26): is out of Blizzcon not matter what...
Other GSL participants who had some success outside of GSL are Life (traveled to a lot of events), herO (2 back to back IEM finals, but if he doesn't get a miracle in KeSPA Cup he won't be at Blizzcon), sOs (won IEM WC, but if he doesn't get a big result in KeSPA Cup he's out of Blizzcon...).
Worse case scenario, only Zest and Life make into Blizzcon from GSL. Can you imagine that?
PS: May I also mention that the vast majority of GSL players are also participating in Proleague, thus having no chances to go to foreign events during Proleague. That's another major set back, because Proleague doesn't give points..)

100% agree.
If Blizzard doesn't put their snow together and accept they have to treat Korea region differently from Europe/America, some teams & players will be in big trouble.

That's exactly what they shouldn't do.
They're going to lose what little they have left from the rest if they start pushing it more in Korea.
What Korea desperately needs is the death of LoL. Plain and simple, StarCraft just isn't in anymore.

That would require a brain meltdown at Riot. Or Blizzard changing StarCraft 2 into a more rewarding game, spectator speaking.
Not gonna happen

There is a tournament "Who's the best European" going on, no Koreans allowed. The top 8 is PiG, Lilbow, Targa, Welmu, VortiX, DeMuslim, MarineLord and Mana. I am not impressed... Sure I love the characters but if the AM scene will be this level because no one can get a visa there then just..

But VortiX microed so bad haha, like lost 2 Drones to a single reaper when the Queens were already out!! That is impossibru. And later a 2 Queen defence for a "to be hatch"-drone yet still they were on move command off creep and a Reaper was happily hitting the drone they "guarded" all the time - I actually yelled a little at the screen But yeah entertaining TvZ still ^^

BOTH RAIN AND PARTING!! I can't believe it... Both want to come to US or Europe. Same with Hydra, leaving CJ for a foreign team. Times they are changing o.O

And I still don't understand it. Blizzard has just announced region lock for 2015, and foreign teams barely sign players this days. They are going to end teamless I fear T_T

I could expect Rain lose to a Terran - he has been very shaky since the WM buff, months and months ago. But still, from what I read Bomber was just svc-pulling all the time, Rain shouldn't lose to that
With the current results:
- Flash is out of Blizzcon
- sOs is pretty much out of Blizzcon despite sitting on 2850 points
- soO needs to reach GSL finals in order to secure Blizzcon ticket - that means advancing over Stats and Rain/Zest....
- herO needs to win next two matches in KeSPA Cup in order to be at Blizzcon.
- Solar needs to win GSL to be at Blizzcon
- Rain needs to win GSL to be at Blizzcon
- INnoVation needs to win GSL to be at Blizzcon
Only Classic secured his Blizzcon spot with KeSPA Cup, just great
