You can either disable "new battlefields" wog option before playing, or install Morn Battlefields mod, it will override the bug, whose causes are unknown.

HoL problem

Hi Guys, i downloaded the 1.9 patch for HoL mod and changed my language and country in English/Usa but when i try to run H3wUpd however appear the message:

"VERy IMPORTANT!!!
Your system LANGUAGE and COUNTRY should be set ENGLISH/USA before the installation."

Can anyone help me???
Otherwise, could anyone give me his installation folder with the mod already installed?

I receive this error three times everytime another player attacks me.

Wrong command syntax skipped.

The game also crashes time to time but haven't copied that text yet.

I understand that i've put a file in the wrong place but no idea wich one.

INSTALLATION

***For WOG3.58f and ERA v1.0-1.9***
Extract all files to your Heroes 3 folder
(should be something like C:\Program Files\3DO\Heroes Complete).
Replace where necessary.
Then run the update (H3wUpd in Heroes folder) and let it install.
Load the appropriate WOG Options (found in the readme file).
Play the Game!

***For ERA II***
Extract all files to "Mods" folder
(If ERA II is installed you will find it in your Heroes III folder).

I've played the Hol 3.22 now for over a week and enjoyed it so much thanks once again for the mod and help.
Now i tried to add some other mods in the eraII link.

I installed convenant town and new upgrades in the heroes III folder. Worked fine and i could see them in mod manager. I disabled the other mods and only had cenvenant town enabled first. Said file was missing. Then i tried with hol v322 and the mod and the game started fine. But when loading the dat file nothings happends on any of the mods except hol wich always loads fine. Also tried with a new town named grove saw it but when i start the game everything crashes. only had hol and grove enabled. Sinse without hol i can't open the he3ra program.
Any suggestion what im doing wrong?

Another error i encounter rather often when using the holv3.22 mod is the game crashing everytime another hero attacks me. I get an error and the game freezes. Have happend a few times when entering the castle aswell but not as often.

Any clue how to fix this? other mod i use at the same time is morn battlefield.

My mod doesn't work well with other mods. You should disable pretty much any other mod whenever you want to play HoL. You can always try out and find out the mods that don't interfere with my mod (but the list will be limited).

You were correct it was morn battlefield mod that caused the crash when i got attacked. However the reason i got that mod was to fix the battlefield. Without it whenever a creature moves it leaves its shadow behind and the battlefield is always black. Anyway to fix this in your mod? or any other mod that fixes the battlefield without crashing the game.

There is no reason morn battlefields is not compatible with HoL. Instead of giving vague informations and extrapolate, UPLOAD a save before error, + the list.txt found in MODS folder.

If this is the wrong information i just that im not trying to be disrespectful nor waste your time, anything involving computers isen't my strong side as you might have figured. Thanks for your patience.

First error when some attack me:

Hello, I got a big issue:

I downloaded patch 3.2. I installed Era 2. I followed the instructions step by step, but it wasn't working. Then I started to look at some replies, maybe other guys had the same problem, and I found same issues at other players. I uninstalled the game , downloaded it again , installed era 2, followed same steps for patch 3.2, and still doesn't works. The problem: well , the background works, but (for castle) instead of having multi-upgrades, I got mostly the same old units Same problem at other castles, and yes , I loaded the hol.setup or something from wog options , I disabled/enabled the options with dwelling etc. Still, doesn't works. Eventually I rage-quited and deleted everything.

Help please.

Once the steps are taken cautiously there can be two problems with this mod not working (the most common ones at least):

1) The mod isn't enabled in the mod manager. This should happen automatically but sometimes it doesn't. You need to go to Tools folder, find the mod manager and put HoLv3.2 on top of the enabled mods list manually.

2) The appropriate WoG options didn't Load normally and have to be set manually as well.

Once you've secured these two steps, the mod will definitely work.

Hi, it's me again, still doesn't work. Nvm. I took the Crimson Tides Expansion and I have all the new creatures but: I don't have the new town , and the background is still the wog one .
Any ideeas? it's installed on wog 3.58f, not era

the problem I have with the HoL3.22 mod is the following:

everything is working perfectly except the Tower town. I do not see the all golems, but only the stone and iron ones and as well as the apprentices. I only see the sorceress and the archmage.

The problem is that, when I make a map in the editor with Tower town and I select 'build all' I see those upgrades of the 3rd and 4th level of the creatures, but if I myself build the bldg, there are no upgrades.

Did you have something in mind how this can be fixed ?

When the building is already built, the additional creatures appear instantly. However, when you build it yourself, then the creatures start to appear the next week after that. It is a glitch, but it can't be helped, there are so many of you that's been asking the same question over and over and you didn't have the patience to wait a week to have the creature growth reset.

I waited as you suggested and Yes, it works. I have missed it somehow

So I want to apologize for the dumb question And as I understand,
those creatures in Tower town are 'somehow' attached to the town as they do not benefit from town's creature growth and at the same time you cannot upg. 'basic' golems to 'special' ones same as Enchanters.

And the other thing I saw is when you create the upg. 7 lvl dwelling, you are applied '-2 creatures' the same week, so you need to wait for 2 weeks to continue the normal production of the dwelling.

(All those things may already be in discussion somewhere in between the topics, so I'm sorry if I have missed that and create unwanted discussions.)

And last question Is there a way to combine ERA 2 and the HoL mod with HotA ? (all my efforts in doing that are left unfruitful)

No, level 7th -2 growth shouldn't appear, it is a problem often mentioned by some users. Since I don't encounter it on my installation, there must be something wrong with yours or some WoG option is messing up the scripts I used for my mod.

As for HotA, no it isn't supposed to work with my mod. In fact I think it isn't supposed to work with ERA altogether.

You can find Cove beta somewhere on DF2 forum. Cove was replacing Conflux (or some other town). Don't remember, is it was for ERA or WOG

Well,

I have used HoMM3 Complete as a basis and downloaded all the mods from the links on the first page as well as the settings in WoG options are made manually.

Is it a problem if I ask the download archives to be updated on the first page ? (it will be cool if you can post time&date of the upload so ppl like me that found the mod recently do not get confused)

Thank you for the mod and for the job - it really is a good work. I myself would like a normal Conflux though - I kind of can't get used the all changes there
