Plants vs Zombies
Fairly cheap strategy game designed by Pop Cap.
The premise of the game is that you're a homeowner that has to defend yourself from zombies invading your house using various plants ranging from pea shooters to chompers to explosive jalapenos to melon catapults. The zombies as well come in different varieties ranging from generic zombies, to disco dancer zombies, to tunneler zombies, to balloon-floating zombies, and many more. You have to defend your front lawn, your back lawn (with a pool), and your roof (lol), from oncoming zombies, during the day, during the night, and during the fog.
As you go through the game you can also purchase special items at your crazy neighbor's shop, such a gattling pea shooters or roof cleaners.
There is an adventure game that comes with it as well as a few puzzle games and a survival mode.
As you go through the game you can collect plants to build up your Zen Garden, which is just for fun.
The entire game has humorous undertones. The main weakness is that there aren't different difficulty settings for the game and it's not very challenging, but in spite of that it's still enjoyable to play for relaxation.

The true challenge is survival endless. I'd survived 60-70 before I gave up but I've heard of people hitting hundreds of survival waves. That is not easy

It's a great game. In fact, most of the games over at PopCap are great. I was completely addicted to Zuma for a long time, and I absolutely refuse to purchase the sequel.

PvZ is pretty good, I finished all the challenges and played the regular levels through twice on iPhone. Then it sort of lost its replay value.
Btw. while we're talking about Pop Cap games, I have to say ... Peggle FTW.
