Hmm... sword finishing moves are much cooler than axe ones. Figures, swords always get all the love.
Enjoying my Nightblade character so far... Illusion is so deliciously evil. Had a major hard time with designing my Breton though... couldn't get the half-elf look right... just looks like a homely man haha.

So I made my first female elder scrolls character.
Meet Rajlin Friidett, a Nord Assassin. Specialty, dual axe power sneak attacks. Deliciously deadly. Also highly trained in sneaky poison arrows known to be venomous enough to kill dragons.
Battle gear is elven armour but as it's a little cold, she prefers furs in her free time, which she mainly uses on her hobbies: hunting, fishing, smithing and potionmaking in her free time.

Axe sneak... nice 
I demand a fishing rod mod soon... landscape is too perfect not to have one..
Oh and a portable camp mod... always loved those from Oblivion.
EDIT:
Ahhaaha... the Dark Brotherhood... SO DELICIOUSLY MORBID! I love it 
We're doing good so far with just general praise and gameplay discussion btw, let's keep it that way.

I'm aiming for brotherhood after some minor quests in whiterun. After Oblivion I'm expecting great times. 
What the hell is wrong with alchemy? It does not improve! Smithing works nicely so why didn't they make alchemy use the same quota for leveling? Now it takes forever to level up in it. I'm level 17 in it after some 50-70 potions.
Anyone want a specific interface rant about the favorites list? Quick-slots for dual wielded weapons keep resetting, I can't dual-wield from it at all times, spells get stuck sometimes, can't dual-wield two different weapons.
BTW. I'm so getting my ass kicked by a lot of creeps if I'm careless because my sneak is 67 and light armor is 25. I so hate the watchcritters for Falners.

The quick slots for me only save what's in the right hand. Although I only carry stuff in my right hand (shields too heavy for sneak and I want to be able to block), so that's not really a problem.

Joonas, did you bind a weapon to a number key? Cause with that you don't have to use fav menu at all

All the ingredients is boring. and its way too easy to make effective potions for health!!
The map/Quest system sucks!
The northeren snowy landscape is boring!
The Enchanted Items seems boring, and way too straight forward.
---
But everything else is awesome so far ;p
I especially love the graphics, and the incredible short load-times.
...
Anything i should know/tjek out??
(Im btw an Argonian)--(I've always been big fan of Poison resistance and underwater breathing.)

You nearly convinced me but from what I've seem most of the game is still the bloody Morrowind/Oblivion with boring dialogues and clumsy (yet for some reason more interesting than before) battles where you spend most of the time wandering around and watching the landscape. Doesn't it get repetitive after the first 10-15 hours?

Yeah I did. I only use the favorites when my quickslots bug, which is too often. Dual wielding seems to cause most problems with it.

Lol I'm starting to think that Howard wasn't joking when he said 300 hours of gameplay. I'm still barely scratching the surface of this game and I played an embarassing amount.
The landscapes vary, as do the monsters that are in them. I keep discovering new creatures as well as different terrains, I find it perfect  .
Also I just (yesterday  , but it's the last thing I did) had a fight with a blood dragon over a collection of water falls and two forts. It ate all the bandits though, but watching it set the side of the mountain on fire, and seeing arrows fly at it it, was nothing short of epic .
Edit: I do find it quite easy on normal, next character will be played on expert.
Giants kill me outright, which is funny.
Everytime I see a stream, I wish that they added a 'drink 'function  . That said, i was expecting food & drink consumption to be 3D.

The Calm spell can be used perfectly in combination with a good backstab... I'm such a damn manipulator right now...
Cast Fury on everyone from the shadows and make them kill each other... reveal myself to the last one and calm him down, and then stab him in the throat. Delicious.

I never used magic (save for healing and the odd fire-ball) with warrior and rogue builds in Oblivion, but I'm seriously considering it, seems a wee bit more complicated aswell.
Illusion sounds ideal for assassins.
Edit:
Btw I love block bash. (namely with a shield). The archery system is smooth, but hunting rabbits is a b***h

It is indeed, especially once I get my hands on an Invisibility spell...
Alteration is very useful as well... Detect Life means you won't run into any surprises. All good stealth utility spells.
Works for battlemages as well, Calm and Fear are good for crowd control.
I just spent 10 minutes experimenting on a bunny. It didn't wanna bite me no matter how much Fury I cast on it. It did cuddle up to me pretty heavily though, think it tried to cute me to death. So I stabbed it in the eyesocket before it did anything more sinister.

The weapons 'upgrade' is great imo, it means that you can use 'low grade weapons' for far longer (level wise). I've been using a steel blade all game now, still haven't found any quick-silver to forge myself an elven blade; though dwarven blades look tentalising I'm a light armour type  . And the four cities that I managed to visit while heavily strained by quests all sell only dwarven gear and the odd elven gloves or boots.
Also I'm not quite sure about the cutting of repair or weapon degrading.
