March 11th 2011
ok guys, here is the question..
Are we ready to wait longer or no???
The game is aimed for March 11th 2011.
It seems that Developers are doing pretty good job,
BUT
it seems as well that some things do not look completely ready yet..
what makes me worried a bit..
So are we ready to give Dev's more time?? i don't mean couple of weeks, but several long long long Months ... untill 3d or 4th Quarter of 2011 to make sure Game is Perfect and we are not gettin a Raw Product...
please comment and participate..

I'm always willing to give game devs more time on something, within reason, if it will lead to a better finished project.

the dev team are doing good job ... they should forget the release-day, focus on their job until they feel it OK ... one or two year is not problem ( some good game like Starcraft use alot of hoping-time of gamers)

If they need more time to improve the game then I don't see the reason why we shouldn't let them more time.

Where did they say March 11th? Please don't say Facebook!
In any case, it seems too soon to me. That's two months from now, we have almost no idea what the game will look like and there are no news of beta-testing among the people outside the "inner circle". What if the thing is bug-infested like the initial release of Heroes V? Nothing about the DRM. Or the price. What are we supposed to be buying, several screenshots?

Pretty much every place listed the release month as March 2011 and this has been known for sometime.

They said that they are aiming at March 2011. It's not the same as announcing March 11th for a release date.
And I'll repeat my question - where is this announcement?

I'd like to see more of the game before making a decision like that, but I'd probably wait. I remember the H5 beta was terribly buggy, and given the international petition to delay it, I would guess that most people in the community are willing to wait a few more months than that.

As anyone here, as it seems, I'd rather see a complete, working, bugless game after a longer time than a "baby" of a game which still has to learn to walk&talk^^

Unfortunately, I assume that Ubisoft is the one who says when the game has to come out, finished or not, bug free or not.
Of course, if it was about me only, I'd say, let's wait more to see more game content and more game mechanics included.

Ubisoft fiscal year ends on march.
I fear that the release date will be on march, the game beeing finished or not.

It's hard to know if the game is complete or not since we know so little about it.
However, I don't think Ubisoft will care if the game is complete or not. It seems that nowadays they prefer to release the game incomplete and after release a bunch of patches for the game rather than wait to have a complete game.

Why have a target release date if they can't come close to meeting it? I'm fine with a minor delay to iron out some unforseen bugs, but there should be no circumstance which requires 'several months' of delay. If that's the case then they had no idea of what they were doing when they gave a release date.

I will add this: I don't think the quantity of released material is an indication of how far along they are in development. My guess is the artwork, etc has been done for awhile now.

I would say that you are the newcomer, because I was following HC since the release of H5. The fact that I and others like me was reading and not posting doesn't automatically make them new faces 
Anyway, I'm a little worried about the release date. IMO a month-month and a half is an usual delay on such a big project (I'm a developer, so I know a bit of time estimates on a project). If the tomorrow surprise is good (the skill and magic system are revealed, more in-game screenshots) may be they'll manage to release it at the end of March, but we have to wait another loong day

What parts specifically look unfinished darklord? So far from what i've seen the game is looking good. (though they should really do some beta testing...) I'd probably push it back a few months to make room for beta.

The game does look good but I have this feeling that it's shrinking. Partly because they want it to run faster and partly because there's not enough time to make even more stuff for it. I would rather wait longer and have more factions in the game, less bugs, more maps and features generally.

Actually ist's no Beta testing or announcement makes me worried.. not even Alpha.. And the game should be released in 2 months from now..
Also the official announcements, so far we have seen artworks, some news about magic system, cutting resourses, a bit of storyline... and then a long silence ... maybe it's the way to PR the game, and i am wrong, but i guess there are still many more things that should be revealed before the game release... when are they planning to do it if the game is on time..
I just don't want the Heroes6 share the same fate as Disciples3 (if you know that game you will understand what i mean)
Disciples3 was a DISASTER!!!! with BILLION bugs, STUPID AI, extremely UNBALANCED and so on...
Fingers crossed for MMH6...
