I'm fairly certain Elves and Dark Elves will be added via expansion. They "split up" around this timeline, so I can imagine them getting a campaign in an expansion :-)
Academy however is definitely a lock for the very first expansion though. With the amount of references they've gotten, and the fact they've created more creatures than Jehovah, Mother Earth and Dr. Frankenstein combined, I feel the developers have no CHOICE but to add them soon enough. Their "culture" will indisputably be a hybrid of several mesopotamian/middle-eastern civilizations, like Persia, Egypt, Arabia, Babylon, etc; (I feel Necro's Lamassus foreshadow the debut of the SPHINX, just as the Coral Maidens foreshadow the return of the MEDUSA) like Sanctuary, which is a hybrid of several Asian civilizations.

Who s missing?
i think Slavic influenced faction - Swamp Fortress for example??
And Dwarfs can go for Norse mythology!
I would love Fortress but I'm not so sure about it being slavic.

I cannot see the SwampFortress returning. We already have a wetland Faction with the Orcs
