Sad HCM, how to react?
What is the proper way to react on continiously unwelcome HCM's when having both tried to reply, ignore and contact mods earlier? What would you do?

The proper way to react to that is not to post that publicly. HCMs are private messages, if you post them for all to see just to point the finger at a person (so you removed the name big deal lol) you are usually the bad guy.
And the hcm isnt sad. Its quite accurate. Now go edit the hcm out, you have nothing to gain by making it public. "But I dont know how to react to that" is a poor excuse...

It's still private for all the people who haven't read it.
It's just poor fricking judgment to post publically something that the sender obviously wanted to keep private.
No he doesn't need to remove it according to the CoC or something, but it's still poor manners not to imo.

So is it bad-form to post any HCM? I heard no out-cry when Nightterror's ones were posted .

Post HCMs without the sender's permission is unacceptable 'cause they are often personal and contain things that not for the public (just think about it: wanna post here your most personal things of your personal life?)...

" Since you are the only one who has complained about the way I post I must dismiss your absurd claims that 'everybody hates my humour', ergo only you find fault with my posts. I'm sure you're more then capable of ignoring what I write.  "

True, but I have to ask: what's the point of posting it here, except to fan the flames and cause trouble?
It's always necessary for a person to identify the line between what a person CAN do and what a person SHOULD do. My personal opinion is that if someone sends you an HCM which you find insulting, threatening, or whatever, you should deal with the matter privately. Either with the individual who sent you the HCM or with a mod. Publishing a private message just shows an incredible lack of tact, honor and integrity - no matter the content of the message.
Right, there may be nothing wrong, per se, with posting the HCM here for everyone to see. But what, exactly does doing so accomplish?

Forfy, if someone disagrees with what you have posted, that is their opinion. The fact that this person sent you a private message regarding it, rather than making it public is an indication that they didn't want it to resort to a public slanging match.
We all upset people with our comments sometimes. Sometimes we need to apologise, other times we can ignore people being ridiculously oversensitive.
I personally don't think you should have published this HCM. You could have replied privately and kept it like that.

He did make it public So the actual HCM is no surprise to me, I'm sure forfy will have no trouble locating it once he comes online, call me a noob, but I'm in no mood to go digging up threads .

Perhaps he OhFor really was looking for advice on how to rectify the situation? I don't know him that well, so I can't really speculate as to his motivation. Not everyone posts with the intent to start a flame war or cause trouble. I will admit, however, that I am having difficulty believing that wasn't the motivation in this case.
As to mediation, I agree that would have been the more discreet option. However, I do not expect people to follow to be discreet in their dealings. Hell, if they did I'd be out of job.
Lastly, this is the internet, Corribus. You can't possibly expect people to act with tact, honor and integrity.

Ignore him because he's obviously wrong about rape jokes not being funny.
Posting this in the tribunal also probably wasn't the best approach. The not-so mysterious poster usually sends angry HCMs at people, which is a lot better than venting publicly.
Methinks you decided to post this here either because of a forgivable lack of knowledge on social etiquette, or because blowing his comments out in the open is a subtle way for you to get back at him.

I agree that threatening/insulting HCMs are to be dealt with privately, if the proper way to react is your concern.
If you did receive that message and had privately identified its sender with credibility, I would investigate. But there's little for a moderator to say or do for you if you take the law into your own hands by displaying it in public.
On the other hand, the message - while clearly breaching the CoC in relaying this info - is at least somewhat vindicated in that rape jokes are widely considered to be discourteous and are commonly held in the poorest of taste.

Proper way? Umm... either ignore it, learn from it or dismiss/delete it. Up to you.
Since we can't verify the HCM content, in general it's best to treat HCMs like every other mail/talk client.
