To wait 6 months to have a playable game... Is that what it came to?

You know, there would not be so much crying and whinning if they would be supporting the game properly as in weekly to say the least.

There are some problems that need to be addressed with hot fixes now. Some of the most eye-gouging and game-stopping bugs cannot be left to wait. They make the game and themselves look bad.

One or two bugs at a time with a hotfix. Yes, there are a hundred of bugs excluding all other problems of the game, but whose fault is that?

Eventually the real patch should address the town screens, the AI, the RMG and hopefully more changes about the many bad ideas that they had for the game.

I think this should be a much better way of dealing with it rather than... Well, whatever it is they're doing now.

Nobody forced you to buy the game now.
If you can't live with the bugs, wait for the patches.
I'm happy that I can play now, knowing that the bugs will be fixed in a few months.

It's not that. What pisses me off is that they make the game look bad. Even if I wasn't playing and waiting for the next patch, I would still be pissed off. This is my favorite game series and I hate to see it done wrong. UbiHole has greatly undervalued it. I would rather have no other installment to the series over hastily made ones.

Kodial as you said, You bought TOE at poit where it was 3.1 and it was a done and complex game. it took 3 years for the game to became a worthy part of the series. At the time of 1.1 it was as hell of a bad game as H6 is now. No balance, Badly designed skill system and the label of a WC ripe-off (the last point is due to the stupidity of people) Give it time. H6 has an advatage over H5. it has more new a interesting features that have potential. H5 did not.

hey guys, why dont you just lower your expectaitions about the game ? See it that way - in 2-3 patches most of the bugs will be fixed and balance and other issues could be improved by us (i mean as community).
So in like 6 months we should have a playable game. And thats not gonna get changed no matter how much we whine, spam, cry and complain.Ubihole are doing what they can, they just need more time.
@zaio, nice trolling considering you whined about the H5TotE skillwheel here near bottom of page when it had better balance than before, and yet you still continue to comment in H5 threads?

Ofc, expectations have been lowered but we'd rather see a good successful game initially make much more money even better game thru 2 maybe 3 expansions...(else I can wait 2-2.5yrs for game to reach nearer to H5TotE quality) [the game does have potential just like H5 initially did]

I read forums and I saw patch logs for H5. It did not look like it was ever that bad. Ofcourse like I mentioned in the other thread, it has the potential to become a great game still. I just don't see them putting the required effort for it. Time can prove me wrong, but if that time will take long to come, they will probably lose more of us than they can spare.

People love to claim that H5 was in worse shape than H6, but please tell me what exactly was broken about H5. I'm in no way saying H5 was any good at the beginning, but in no way was there any game breaking problems like we have now. I'm sorry, but no balance or a badly designed skill system doesn't stop you from playing a game. Some of the issues in H6 do though. I'd hardly compare the two. H6 is in far worse shape than H5 was at release.

And they're right. H5 was absolutely horrible on release. Indefensible.

Campaigns for one thing. The bug with Sandor's mission in H6 is of course unbelievable, but in H5 1.0 if you finished a scenario it would jump you two missions onward, completely skipping entire maps. This applied to at least four of the campaigns, possibly more.

And we're at 1.1.1, which is 2 patches in. Your point is?

You name one thing that was bad on it's initial release. We could mention tons after 2 patches.

Good, no. Playable, yes.

Name one game breaking problem in H5 that stopped you from playing. I can't think of any, but I sure can in H6. That's why I say for as bad as H5 was on it's release, you could at least play it. I can't say the same for H6 with some of it's major bugs.

Bottom line is this (as I see it). Ubisoft has a penchant for hiring bargain basement developers that aren't up to the task. They (Nival) couldn't get it done with H5 until the 3rd expansion and they (BH) once again couldn't get it done here. Guess we have to wait until their 3rd expansion before we can truly enjoy this game which is sad.

@SKPrimus

well i used to whine a lot about heroes V, becouse i wasnt happy with it. I just wanted too damn much  - all factions having different perks, perfect balance etc. Now i see homm V with different eyes and i kinda like it the way it is ( Im still playing it a bit, hrta 1.3 anyone ? )
But as said before i dont give a damn about the future of the franchise - and why should i ? Im not gonna buy every homm junk on the market just becouse it shares the same name with homm 2 and 3.
Anyways when they fix most of the bugs and balance issues i'll buy the game.

It crashed randomly, certain creature abilities/spells did pretty strange things on regular basis, the multi-player was basically non-existent both as functionality and balance between the factions, too few maps, most of them small (I very rarely play on small maps), no map editor, buggy and incredibly stupid campaign, idiotic AI. The bottom line is that - if you don't want to play the moronic campaign - you have a very small number of skirmish maps where you can play against an AI which is at a total loss what it is supposed to do and that's it. Far, very far from playable. What we have now is a bit better, although it proves once again that Ubisoft are a bunch or incompetent money-suckers who deserve only a permanent subscription to the labour bureau.

Told you my point. No map editor, no working multiplayer until patch 1.2, thousands of typos, bloatedly slow AI, memory leaks. And I don't believe that you can't think of any game-breakers. Scripting bugs in The Fall of the King prevented Agrael from moving and finishing the map. Severe problems in Agrael's Decision. Quests didn't work in The Vampire Lord. I distinctly remember these and know how to reproduce them; you had the benefit of the internet and quick day-one patches to remedy them before you knew it, but I had to wait until well after Hammers of Fate before getting a fix. 1.0 is all that matters to a wide range of people.

But I too think it's dreadful that the measure of a good Ubisoft Heroes game should be how badly damaged it is on release.

I can't comment on the size of the maps, but I just checked and there were 20 multiplayer maps and 9 scenario maps. That's almost double what we got here. Keep in mind that 5 of the 15 we have in H6 came after a patch. I'd hardly say that H6 wins in this situation.

Twenty? I remember about 10. I could be wrong because I just ignore S and most M-sized maps and if I'm not mistaken, there were 2 or 3 L-sized maps. Nothing even close to XL. Now there is at least a decent number of large maps.

I much prefer the enemy town gating back. When they used to divide their army into bite sized pieces and charge at you it made them too easy to beat. Now they have reasonable harassment forces that they save if in danger. They are still beatable with tactics, get a secondary hero with no army, let them chase it around, either indefinitely or into your main heroes reach,
