After a year, I again have time to continue the project, starting with retexturize some creatures and snowy terrain for the next Beta 0.2

These days instead of retexturizando as used to do, I decided to tinker a bit. As I show in the readme, apart from the normal texture and mirror (used for metals) are other two paths texture without use, and so far I have not found any models that use. One is "Gloss" which medianta a map in black and white, you can specify which parts are going to be brighter than others when they an effect of light and as I have in this case a little more globally illuminate all texture. Then there is the effect "bump" which is equal to or more interesting, that would generate this map with "gloss" an embossed effect and dummy volume in the details we choose, but so far I have not gotten it to work, I get the model completely black. Therefore from now on will reduce the fixed lighting add texture and gloss to map each of them. I have also researched the land. May be added to a file of material each previously prepared to create effects on the same way as with the water. I'll try to start trying to make the snowy terrain objects can reflect slightly. : D

Amazing work! Keep it rolling!

My biggest issue with H5 was map textures. especially grass (that green color, it burns). Now I can enjoy the game much more, thanks!

And here some evidence of effect "gloss" to a building, specifically the town heaven, and new snow textures, changing the color blue purest white, bright and earthy tones. And the "gloss map" used for the town.

The first thing that hit me when looking at the Haven pics (grass and trees) is that you've created "seasons". The stonework looks much better too.

This is really amazing what you are doing with this game engine
btw - when you will be releasing mod would you prepare two versions - one with gloss effect and one without?

How is your work with extracting more textures from H6

For land textures got them taking screenshots in the map editor Heroes VI. I use a program to extract much meshes and textures in games used direcx, but for some reason it does not work in Heroes VI, so I can only use the land for now. and thought up the mod all together, but for now I will not make many glow effects, I'm just a little research. Why do you ask, do not like?

At first image I think castle is too bright but at second (still the same castle but different angle) it looks great so I can't say that I don't like it.

Ehh... what a pity there are problems with textures from H6...

Definitely new colour of snow looks more realistic and sunny. Fortress seems to have better light than Haven for me.
