I dont have the time to drag this any longer because i have my flight soon. Im not an english speaker but i know what i wrote and i mean it.  My point was you picked few things that were changed and said that they are now cripled. You said that they are the core of the game. This leads to conclusion that you think that most of the main game features are cripled which i think equals bad game. While its ok if you have this opinion, its not why i replied so harshly.

You seem like a nice guy and i felt that you deliberately try to prove your point by skipping some facts that inclusion would have changed the result of your message.

I said its biased because not only you dont mention all aspect of homm. If you did you wouldnt have proven that most of the featured is changed but some. Thats one point. Another point was that those things that you mentioned are not crippled now, they just work differently. I   presented my point why i think they actually work better then before.  

Obviously I was exaggerating a bit when i said there was no resource management obviously but it was actually less important because you had less options thus less decisions to make.

I play normal difficulty slowest hero lvling speed. I think those settings are fair for all factions and hero types and you can finish game quickly.

Regarding necro. I dont know if you remember early h5 days when you had over 1k skeletons in every game lol.

Yes but by time TotE came out it was a lot more balanced and fair and I wasn't addressed as some sort of privileged elitist just because I won games with Necro; in TotE the other factions could actually compete with it and/or beat it in an healthy number of cases. Which can't be said as well about necro in HoMM3, HoMM4 (even if it didn't feature multiplay) or, obviously, HoMM6.

As I already said many times, I understand that Necro is conceptually difficult to balance, but they had some years to find a solution.

Symmetrically, I wish they succeed at least once in making Inferno playable. I'd like that. This new design direction of making Inferno "chaotic" (messing with the opponent's units, having a variety of luck-dependent tricks, being able of surprise moves) is fascinating and can work very well, if decently executed. Come on devs, you are so close this time!

I play normal hero levelling, everything in difficulty on normal, AI on aggressive and hard, if I play a more than 2-player map.
I also have no problem to play against Necro, with Inferno or both.

I think he means he has no trouble playing against Necro (with any faction) or playing with Inferno (against any faction) or even playing with Inferno against Necro ("both").

have they changed it, or is it still hero level 7-8 MAX because of uberslow level gain?

I completly disagree. Think the gameplay in H6 is great and fresh. Playing this series since part one thats kinda important for me. What they buthered is polish(=bugs)and lack of sim turns. Even balance isnt too bad, i think only thing standing out is undead being ez mode and inferno sucking. Thats nothing new to any fresh game.

I don't hink it's fresh, quite the opposite. It looks more live developers took some popular, "safe" features from various games, glued them together and claimed to be innovative. There's just too little Heroes in heroes, feels like any other generic strategy or RPG.

I ADMITTED nothing.

I said, I won't play MP ANYMORE until 1.2 - I've played a lot until a week or so ago, but apart from the fact that it was not really a pleasure to continue a game from a save, there are a lot of rather annoying bugs which simply make playing too conditional.

There are also a lot of not okay skills (like Retribution Aura).

My opinion is that under 1.1.1 it's not Necro who's OP, but Sanctuary.

Hit & Run was Heroes 2 mainly, it was quite funny to do given you add tons of ressource.


In Heroes 6 you get joiner but diplomacy is dead : In older Heroes virtually every stacks could join you with diplomacy. I'm not even sure Diplomacy in the skilltree adds anything, as it has triggered twice in 50 hours.

I tend to disagree. I mean in older Heroes you had to, but in this one second Hero shouldn't be before level 5. Because castles and stacks are well defended, you don't need to chain, and it seems there are less neutral ressources to pick up - all these elements make a second early hero not recommanded.

Sanctuary is on par with Haven, which means strong, yet not OP.
Necropolis belongs to the Overpowered side.
Stronghold is balanced.
Inferno is UP, therefore sucks.

I didn't even play multiplayer yet, but the balance seems pretty obvious from a basic point of view. Now unless some techs get discovered after 1.2 Necro will still rule the game.
The Archlich is one of the most ridiculous unit I ever see in any heroes game.

And in true UbiSoft style, they better make ALL those changes, so that they make absolutely sure that it becomes completely useless.

Yes,I got what he meant. I just said it makes no sense. Necro is once again more than a good player with a good faction can handle if the opponent has equal skill. Ok, it's not as dramatic as in HoMM5 vanilla, but it still not really balanced - or at least that's the impression I got and nobody disagrees as of today. You may have no problem in playing with Inferno vs Necro and you may even win, you have my praise; but that still doesn't make it a fair matchup even remotely, so from a game design standpoint, it has no relevance.

A: "Necro still has too much advantage over others."

B: "I can play vs Necro and win."

B's response makes no sense. That's what I was saying.

MANDATORY EDIT: notice that I am quite dissatisfied with this and I am on the good end of the stick (Necro) nonetheless. I guess I'd be a lot angrier if I was a dedicated Inferno player, and once again the fact that someone "can" win with Inferno doesn't make a balance problem absent.

Academy/Tower
Dungeon
Rampart/Sylvan
Conflux
Battlement(Dwarves)
Fortress(H3)
