A gate opens at the Unvisited Isle and spawns a Maniac.
 
The Maniac mills about the gate.
A clue appears at Miskatonic University Streets
Word is that a terrible experiment is being performed at Miskatonic University. People speak of monsters and nightmarish creatures being spawned for some sinister reason. So far, only five such creatures seem to be part of the experiment. Oddly enough, some appear to be human.

Pete and his companions watch as the gate closes with a faint pop.
"There may be more of those things out there. We must close them before it's too late." Pete says, shaking uncontrollably.
"I hear there's one opened at the Isle where we met." Legrasse answers.
"Woof!" Retorted Duke, implying that it would be much safer for them to run the hell out of here, but nobody listened.
And so the trio went in the direction of the Unvisited Isle, stopping in the Miskatonic University Streets on their way in hopes of learning something at the exhibition now that they've seen so much.
(Ignoring the experiments going on there at the time.)
