Speaking of pipe, I think I will load mine up and have a good smoke, though mine is filled with the finest leaf in the south farthing (actually same leaf as used by some in the movie) rather then some good opiate

i think the best way to solve this problem is to be flexible. Whoever you are playing if they want rules give them rule and if they dont then play without. If you think a rule is unfair or biased then counter it with a rule that makes for more balance. E.G. If somebody says no diplo then counter this with no necro so he cant have free skellies. One thing is for sure Toh will never reach a point where either no rules or have rules applies to all so we must live with it and not draw character conclusions about anyone who chooses one preference over the other.

Complaining about H&R is the same as in warcraft 3 someone crying because got rushed early game and got defeated...I still remember the early days when people cried cause of that but now people understood that rush can be a vital part of the game...I play with UD and hate that entangle rush...Its cheap and ruin my economy....but I don't start crying that it is unfair or for cowards only or things like that...Instead I improved my skills and early defence at the point that now this snow is not anymore a problem for me...
H&R forces you to change your tactic into another...thats why people is crying because of it...because they want to win the game using the same tactic they always use...Mass hight level creatures and crush your holpless oponent...
I never did this tactic in heroes...but I don't cry when receive from someone...Instead I try to change my tactic and adapt my gameplay ... This also forces diversy in this game...Not the same mass creatures and win...
Otherwise once you reach high level just tell your opponent to quit cause he have no chance anymore since I will cry if you use a counter to it...
I prefer to play someone that uses and abuses from a cheap tactic than someone that don't do it cause have pity or mercy of me.... I would hate the second situation...I want a challenge and no an oponent that just toy around ....I want to prove myself how far my skills can reach...that's it...

You suprise me motor. I thought you had more patience than to insult somebody like that.
There are better ways to correct somebody and you might be scaring off people who could be the next, Frank, Flamingo,Vinz etc. And then you and others like you start whining because there not enough quality posters around.

sorry Motor i missed the racial aspect of the question.
And yes you are right, such people should clean their mouths or not be here.
Its just that your response does not make this objection clear, it just sounds like an insult without reason.
Sometimes people do respond positively when you tell them why they are wrong so try not to judge.

Guys...
1) @MocaReignUh -> You should have gotten a penalty for that post because in case you haven't noticed this question has been discussed for 17 pages and I personally discovered the answer on page 1. Anyway kindly remove yourself from the forum and stop posting racism.
2) @Motorshaaf -> I kind of defend you because I understand, I'm actually American. But your attitude doesn't justify your insults. I mean you could just have said 'sorry but I don't like your racist attitude read the thread if you want to know the answer'.
3) This is a good thread, let's please get back to it.
Now I was also wondering what H&R was and I discovered it here, now I do defend people like Jinxer who say it is a despicable and dishonourable thing to do. There's no reason to cry about it though. I never do it but the AI always does it to me. I've never lost a game or even a big army because of it though.
NOw i've realised lots of people play ToH with this tactic which is unacceptable. I personally classify this as an unfair aspect of the game, which just gives you the ability to bring down an army 500 times bigger than you. At home it's okay, cuz if you get pleasure from using this tactic that's fine with you. But in ToH your getting credit for just... 'cheating', really! and people have to report a loss and not getting a chance to explain about this tactic and the reason why they lost.
I hope I've patched everything up now.
