And among those VIPs(though most prefer to call themselves insiders), are JJ and Elvin. So if they say, then Yes, that makes it true.

Elvin is a long time VIP and Insider fan. He knows more then most of us will ever know. And from time to time, he gives us a samples and hints of things that might come, or confirms information that is rather unclear.
So if Elvin tells us Minos are Elite he is not suggesting it, he knows it.
Similary you can act when talking with JollyJoker:-)

thanks for the explanation, i wasnt tryin to doubt anyone here coz really deep down inside i want the minos to be elite, i hope ur right so we can kick some serious as's with them!

Elites
- Minotaur are melee walkers.
- Manticore are melee flyers.

Wonder which one of those black dragons is the upgrade and basic...
Cuz the non-purple one looks 5x awesomer. Pretty damn certain the purple one is the upgraded one though, shame.

Yes I must say I'm impressed. They made a "traditional" horse mount, yet they gave him a unique, kinda lizardish look (for fans of Heroes V Dungeon lizards I suppose ). I'm kinda sad there's no stag, but this Xenomporph-like lizard mount has a nice, corrupted and vile feel to it. A big plus for making something original
PS: I don't remember other Heroes 6 mounts having a "name", but I would name this one the Shadowy Steed
