Quote: Also, I think its kinda ridiculous that 20 Light Elementals can blind 30 Sacred Kirin for 3 turns lol.
Maybe the ability is overpowered, but I don't find it ridiculous, that an entity blessed by Elrath, which is a manifestation of his power, generates enough light to blind any creature. But they should nerf it, maybe by making it useable only once per battle or reducing blindness duration for instance...
It doesnt even make any sense outside of game mechanics - how does TWENTY Light Elementals blind THIRTY Kirin?
The Kappas description say that theyre Water spirits.

Well, but the Sanctuarium (is it called like that in english? Playing in german) is all about water spirits. Then Kirins should be spirits as well... just if I am thinking about the campaign and how they are described.

What have the numbers got to do with it? They generate Light. They are not holding their eyes shut or something.
And Kappas are Water Spirits BOUND TO A MATERIAL SHAPE.

actually the numbers in the game have to do with everything!
a few amounnt of lilims cannot enthrall a bigger number of kirins.
the medusa ability of the priestesses lowers iniative depending on their numbers and the numbers of the enemy. same goes for the weaking strike of the dark elementals. i can go on with the rest of the creatures but you get my point. light elementals are broken or something because their blinding does not deal self damage as described (1.7.1 i have yet to check it).

Not true. Numbers have nothing to do with it. It depends on the power rating of the creatures, but every ability has its own ratio. The Lilims, for example cannot enthrall Elites (or even Champions) 1:1. You need a lot more Lilims. However, with Cores, a Lilim can enthrall more than 1, depending on their power. Goblins, for example, are fair game, and 10 Lilims can enthrall, what? 20 or so.
That's by the way the reason why the Pacification ability is weaker with Sisters than with Vestals, because Sisters have a lower power rating than Vestals.

see? numbers but of course the power rating of the unit also matters. it's a combination of those two. so since light elementals are elite and kirins champion, the former ones should not be able to blind the latter, when they are less in numbers.

No it's NOT.
It's JUST power rating. Which means that 1 Elite unit can influence a couple of Cores.
Also, every ability has its own ratio, depending on how "serious" the ability is.
Of course, it might still be bugged: 20 LEs blinding 30 Kirins? Question is, how long?
EDIT: I see, for 3 turns - that seems to be wrong, because that would hint to a very silly ratio.
Should be researched.

what you say is true i do not doubt you about the power rating but numbers do matter too! when a core's ability to "charm" an elite for instance, depends on their numbers (they have to be a hell of a lot more) then numbers also matter!! i cannot explain it any further.
also the answer is 3 as the other guy stated.

I understand what you mean. You're looking at their ability from the power of the unit view. It's logical that you need a lot of, for instance, core units to effect a legendary unit. What I was talking about is the ability to blind itself. Blinding something is a different thing then controlling the mind of a unit where u need to focus on your enemies mind. On the other hand a powerful enough blinding light produced by even one Blazing Glory can blind even 100 Kirins if they all are looking at her at the moment. It's logical from a biological/physical point of view
But that's why I think the ability is overpowered and should be nerfed, because no one likes when his/her legendary unit is blinded for a couple of turns. Moreover, they really buffed the blind spell in H6, because now even if you attack a blinded unit, it will stay blind, it's very frustrating...

you are taking the biological/physical approach. but as for game mechanics one glory cannot and should not blind more than one champion creatures. the problem is located with the light elementals only.
also i will ask again was it so hard to make a hotkey for not returning to position? the harpies do not dunction properly. and from what i heard, neither the glories. i will try it. in every patch new bugs. that's a fact by now:/ i sincerely hope that they rework the code in the standalone or else we are doomed with bugs that wil exist forever!

I'm beginning to wonder if they decided to make a standalone expansion to cast away or rework the problem-generating dynasty function and many other things. The dynasty is nice to some extent, but I would also like to try a "normal" Heroes game, without the need to connect to internet, one game one account thing etc...
Do you people think they will rework the game?

They most probably won't, because it's too messy in the first place. If they tried, we could end up with an even worse code.

Yeah, a couple of months is not enough to make big changes. Not with such a little budget at least

How easy is it is to blame everything on mess in the code that previous developer left, while in fact there is not enough budget/people working on the game.
RMG and Sim turns has not much to do with current code. It is new code yet it so better to say "blame the blackhole messy code" then "we don't have enough money/people to do it".

Maybe but what is certain is that adding or changing the code's workings affects game stability directly. It's like a hydra, cut off one head, two heads grow back in its place..

Yeah most of the bugs that appear post-patch are probably things that were initiated by messing with the game code (like the tactics bugs etc.)
