Jarcik played wonderfull that game. His moves ane plans were 100% more creative than your basic ans simple strategy( take mines, the 2 towns, upgrade and straight to the middle) You won that game because you caught Jarcik in the middle when wearing shackless. He had only 1 black for speed.

I lost countless games by taking of slow troops and enemy caught me  " pants down" . Does that make me a masterplayer ?

OK OK after many months of this garbage I guess I actually have to DEFEND myself over this garbage about my ONLY, and I DO stress ONLY, meaing I WOULD SOONER DIE THEN PLAY HER AGAIN.

And here is why.

She wanted to play but I told her I couldn't because I had too much work to do.

She said 'Just a fun game'.

OK sure...we played the map she made...Hourglass.

I'd never played it and we played 2 minutes turns..no hit and run and all that.

Yes I played poorly but I had a good time and she won the game easily.

Now for nearly a year I have not heard the end of it.

Apparently I am a poor player because I played poorly in that game.

Well it is a lesson to me to NEVER play these spineless people who masquerade themselves as friends to lure you into a game on unfamiliar turf under the guise of fun just to use it against you day after day for so long.

Total LACK of character.

Had I known I was being GRADED that day by your husband pan I would have tried harder to please you people.

I guess "fun game" to you means something completely different then it does to me.

By the way to hell with this Bastards/ToH tourney.

I tried to be supportive of it but just as I rejected your offer to be in Bastards I now reject ANYTHING that has to do with them.

Thanks for the FUN game Pan.

I'm sure I would drag you on on 7 lakes and if I beat you then brag about it for a year.

I could never be like that.

What a joke.

ok...I gotta take back something.

Mocara, it is true, changing topic of the board provides more entertainment. I seriously hope no one in the arguments is truely offended by the things passing around..but it is amusing to read

as for B@stards, for 1, i admit im not much into the whole B@stards vs TOH tourney..seemed ok at first, then realized I wasnt into it. and 2nd the point of b@stards, in 1 sentence is this. "playing with people u can for the most part, trust" all the stereotypes doesnt reflect what its about. ok in our rules it says no hit and run, 2 min turns, etc...but if u ask any member, we don't say, ok, u wont play 2 min turns, get out of here! we say, if you find a game with a fellow member, its highly likely you dont have to save or look for trainers or none of the real crap that everyone hates. oh, and it DOESNT mean that any non member isnt looked at as trustworthy.

and what I ask of Mocara concerning B@stards is plain and simple, if you have an arguement with a member, leave the tourney in itself out of it. the tourney is for the players, and by no means is some dictatorship or secret organization where all members have 1 set of game standards. proof of this is players like eliogabalaus, titan888, jinxer, Grand elf, andi, rychenroller..who are all members, yet you should know don't have the same exact rule/game beliefs, but fit in nicely with the tourney

Oh brother cant you guys talk about anything else besides flaming each other.
A great player loses on a 2 min turn map he never played & he gets flamed for it.
A tosser with no dought really great player who has nothing better to do then toss around the tavern talking smack & the library talking like fun is not a facter & players have no say so if you dont have a good record.
Judging a player by one game of many just one little game & it's over everyone going to hear it.
Misunderstandings then they get the worst of it.
Making enemies because of people saying how weak or how better the player is because of a loss or win.
Cant we just have a conversation without the arguments of things that happened yrs ago.

JB that would be a good point if it weren't for the fact that the Ba$tards who already have a league to play rules in come to a no rules board and tell everyone that they suck for not playing rules.

Remember that is how this started;

Me saying that Pan Ba$tard was a whiner.

Andi Ba$tard insulting Lews repetitively.

Yawacko Ba$tard saying how he has everyone catergorized and warns players not to play others.

Throw in a few comments from Rychen Ba$tard and JBa$tard239 and you see that mostly all this board is, is Mocara debating w/Ba$tards.

Although I would love to leave Ba$tards out of this lets be real.

It is the Ba$tards posting on TOH's board about how rules are so cool that keeps this board going.

I don't mind it but honestly to say it isn't Ba$tards is a lil silly because you guys account for about 90% of this boards activity.

not to drag it on, but Id like to remind Mocara all the B@stard members became and still are TOH members. and they participate in the B@stard tourney...so your reasoning is a little off. you could say TOH/B@stard members..or even easier, leave the titles all off.

lol

I'd love to support Moc here, but I actually find his post needlessly insulting, both to and readers intelligence, and the subjects he is posting on. If he's just provoking all these people for fun, they are sure gratifying him. I just can't get over for how many people saying they play the game for the fun of it, can't stand to think they might be losing a flame war, so they post over and over, enver letting the topic die. Not acting very much as if they don't care whether to win or lose. Why can't people just be honest and say they don't like to lose? It's human nature...

One thing I've seen about this community it that everyone thinks a high rating means you are a master player or something. No, it usually means you are a capable player and play alot of games.

Salamandre is right when he says that inventive and good player can still be beaten by a capable player, but it's pretty rare- though the example he gave wasn't the best. It's a big mistake to attack anyone without testing with a scout first- and even greater, leave your main anywhere near middle without full support or guranteed way to escape from shackles. (in other words, there is no guranteed way so don't do it). Maybe I'm just cautious, but I think the best players account of all the possibilities and then eliminate the chances of getting into bad situation while at the same time stacking the odds of a beneficial situation in their own favor. Like chess, the grand masters don't plan specific moves 20 moves ahead, they take control of board and increase their ability to make beneficial moves and slowly trap opponent into making a bad move. It's about controlling the possibilities.

You can't control every possible outcome in H3, there are many random factors such as enemy spells and numerous other factors, but the factors you can control, for instance your own moves within range of enemy absolutely have to be perfect or you will lose.

The entire reason I dislike rules is it eliminates options for manipulating your opponent into making a bad move. For the same reason rules players often enjoy closed maps more- there is less to account for in opponent options and less inventive strategies can still work in those situations.

"or even easier, leave the titles all off." - JB239

Again I agree w/you JB.

It is ironic isn't it.

It's OK for Yawacko to label and even WARN people not to play those he has labeled but when I do it back you do not like it.

I agree labels are bad. Why didn't you say that to Yawacko?

I think we still need more flames. This Homm4 thing seems to have gotten everyone in a daze-like state when they´re just hanging on waiting on the promised game instead of flaming. But I´m tired of that.

Make it like the good old days? Let the flaming begin!

Mostly Bjorn it seems you have not been in the middle of a problem in flaming & flaming should not be started for entertainment na, mostly it's two people disagreeing then others who are friends or hates the other person also joins in the fun.
Sure we need more exitement in these message boards yea but surely if you are in the middle of being or starting the flame it's not as fun as you think, especially a friend just to become an enemy forever yea.

When you are the direct target of a flame from Mocara it is hard to sit back and say, well blah blah whatever, I dont need to reply to that crap, regardless of it is his form of entertainment or not. Sometimes you gotta stick up for yourself, and if that means replying in kind, then so be it.

I agree with Aculias statement, but sometimes its tough to just sit and watch tossers at work.

Hey!  I feel so left out.  I want to play the flame game.  I beseech of you FLAME ME...

What the heck was the title of this thread anyway?

Oh, most miraculous win....ummm.... I dunno I liked the wins against hyeon_c and _xjust_ 'cuz I found out afterward they were cheaters and still lost.  It bites when you can't even win by cheating (although to be fair, hyeon should have mopped the floor with me but I trapped him in castle with shackles and implosion/ressurection and got all his goodie arts)...but no excuses for xjust, sure you can view the random maps and go straight to all the utopias but if you don't build/attack right you still gonna lose.
