Are you suggesting that locking away the dlc of a single player game someone paid for is acceptable? Not for me, it isn't. This isn't even a multiplayer game.

I don't mind ending online support, with achievements and all that.
However, extremely dissapointed that some parts of single player! game will be unavailable.
Ubisoft response on official forums states that DLC stuff should still be available, but UPlay rewards content wont.
So all in all you will lose access to following:
1) Sana the Mage NPC
2) 4 relic items: Crag Hack's Helmet,Unbreakable,Thunderstaff,Hacker
3) Meow Dungeon (and experience points that can be gathered here)
I bet this does wonders for future advertising on online features in single player games.
Stuff like this should come with a small patch that unlocks these things, not permanently locks them.

In light of these news i decided to give the game a final playthrough while content is around.
Good news, in doing some tinkering to get the game going, i realized it is quite easy to mod/unlock all uplay content, and prerelease content. Still, it makes it even less of an excuse for Ubi not to do the same. I guess we will see in couple of weeks.
The Dev dungeon of fighting through evil Ubimancers, now makes perfect sense as the games support is concluded.
The game impression is same as in previous playthrough - quirky but very good entry to Might and magic series. Aside first part of the DLC, which is heavily biased against might classes, everything else seems manageable with any party combination. Sure, class balance is not ideal, but as long as any class can progress through the game, it works.
I've attempted to semi-cheat my way to level 40 party achievement (by not simply changing xp tables, but instead i decided to unlock all 12 promotion quest regardless of the party, ala old games). It was not succesful, my party ended with level 39

its true, HOMM6 is the game of the series that still have the most player of all games in the series, just should have been balanced to be more fun and less imba, you understand now why Conflux will never end supprot especially considering that the overwhelming majority of the game content is based and depending on it

there is still a fact that defy logic : bad RTS are always selling better and having more players than good/old school RTS...
-the rubbish Command and Conquer 4 have more players than Command and Conquer / Kane's wrath
-the rubbish Supreme Commander 2 have more players than Supreme Commander / Forged Alliance

Players in CNC3 use mods. CNC4 doesn't support modding.
Conflux will definitely end support. Possibly soon enough. Having a few players or game content will not stop this.

nope, Conflux will not end, and there is plethora of players and content, you just have to play it thoroughtly to find out that

just look at how many new messages you find on the conflux orbs to have an idea of how many peoples are passing by
if you cumulate single player and multiplayer yes it is the game of the series with the biggest number of player and yes its still the case

So you mean every single message people decided to write in there since the release of the game? That's not the current playerbase at all. Not to mention there's actually no way of knowing how many player other Heroes games have. But you say Heroes 6 has more than 3 or 5 without any solid proof. I'm not buying it.
But anyway, this is off topic.

you forget that all the messages posted on the conflux orbs are not old, there are many new ones every single day that pass and they are either usefull or unsignificant (and you see the absence of moderation as well...)

for why it have more player than the other games, you can assume it is simply more appealing for those who are either novice or disliking the conventionnal gameplay of the games of the series (HOMM 4 excluded)

There are many new messages here and many are spambots
Anyways in H6 forums they said even in 2020 it took over an hour to find someone connected for a quick game.
However, I do believe that much is pretty surprising that you can find anyone at all.
On the other hand, in things like Gameranger and Hamachi there are always multiple H3 games, so...
Fortunately, at least H4 is more popular than H7

Yeah ill put it up somewhere online (its just a bunch of edited .xml files with commented out requirements anyway), but i want to wait for the online service to go down to make sure it actually works under/after those circumstances.
