Elvin said: But whether mad or just emotionally unstable, Dany seriously screwed up. She's always been stupid but I think she outdid herself this time.
The real idiot here is the one and only Jon Snow, it is convenient that his last name is “snow” because I was going to call him something else. Why did he have to go and tell about his lineage, he was told exactly what was going to happen and he didnt even want the throne, what good can come out of Sansa knowing? Supposedly, he is this potential wise king, yet he has no problem putting millions, including the woman she loves at risk and for what, just getting a secret out of his system? What a douche. “I tuld him I didn’ wunt it.” Well, da, they told you it didnt matter once things are set in motion and they shouldnt even have to: You werent born yesterday, no matter whose son you are. I mean, really, this level of stupid is like those plot device characters in B-grade horror films who goes “hey, let’s go into the dark enchanted forrest in the middle of the night and pick us some apples, yay.”

For all those who criticize the series and out of sheer curiousity, please write down how you would see the "perfect" story for Season 8.
I like the series as is. I had my predictions, I had my set of disappointments, but I like how they are going with the plot, true to the series rule of turning over expectations (many people already envisioned a happy ending for instance). I'm not saying you should like it, I just want to hear how any of you would follow with the plot instead of the writers and make it better...
PS: Regarding Drogon plot armor and its OP-ness in the city: do you guys know what happened to Harrenhal by chance? Here, I'll help: https://awoiaf.westeros.org/index.php/Burning_of_Harrenhal.

Ok, I just watched it and it's sooo good! I like it. I think this episode is better than 'The Long Night'. This is the absolute display of pure raw power! Damn DRAGON(S)!!! I think Daenerys is ok after this. I mean, yeah she could die or get betrayed or be the villain or something.
Fire and blood mate, fire AND blood.
Question: Did Jaime and Cersei died? If I remember correctly they were just standing there while the keep crumbled. It didn't show if they died or what. Or maybe I missed that part.

I think their dead. Prophecy is one thing, literally a whole castle collapsed on them.

I think they are dead, too. It was kind of a poetic death, them dying together looking into each others eyes and their own castle collapsing on them. You cant have gore on such a scene, so they faded away into the dust.

Thanks guys!
I thought I saw in the trailer that they jumped while the keep is collapsing. Maybe my mind is playing tricks on me again.
Of all the GOT lovers, the two of them are the ones I've never imagine would have a scene like that. Yeah, poetic and romantic for me. Although I had mixed feelings while watching it.

Yeah. I mean many who watched the series wanted her dead to this point, but at the end we see a sorrowful woman who lost everything, who at least finds comfort in the arms of the only one who really loved her. Another twist on behalf of the storywriters imo. I assume many envisioned her with Arya slitting her throat, yet we were played at once again
PS: Although it would be cool if Jaime had pulled of a mask at the end, with Arya behind his face, lol

@Blob
Yeah! I also thought about that! I speculated that Arya will be killing Cersei like how she did with the Frey guy. Or Jaime will kill Cersei. Or she'll get betrayed by one of her staff. Or Daenerys and Jon will.
@artu
I agree with that. Jon is a total idiot but in another perspective from yours . That scene when he and Daenerys were kissing and he refused to the flow that was the deciding point!
It's just a joke. Kinda shallow but who knows! Haha!
I've been seeing a lot of disappointment on this episode in Facebook. I don't know but seems like a lot of people don't like it. For me, in my opinion, its all good. I think Daenerys is scared. Nobody gives a **** about her in Westeros. People are clearly on Jon's side. Add on them the death of Rhaegal and Missandei. She felt insecure, afraid, angry, rageful. It can drive people mad sometimes. I've been also thinking that being mad might be running in the Targaryen blood.

Her heel turn did not surprise me at all. I never really liked her as a leader, because even when she was "beloved by all" she had those moments when things don't go they way she planned them or the way she thinks they should go and away go the dragons to burn everyone. People idolized her because most of her enemies were slavers, but she rarely showed mercy and when she did it was usually because her advisors pressed her into it.
But most of the audience views her the way Tyrion does. She's done so much good and she is so much better than Cersei or Joffrey that she must be infallible, right? Right?...

Finally a great episode for this season! I appreciate they didn't hold back on Dany becoming the Mad Queen. I feared she would take the throne and just make a maybe a few too many excexutions and someone would kill her but no, she freaking torched the whole goddamn capital. "Burn them all"
Also Cercei and Jaime dying at the arms of each other, pretty much how we were first introduced to them. I liked that too. Cercei wanted the city to burn if she is forced out, so I can't for the life of me understand people who feel bad for her though. Just because someone is sobbing and fearing for their life doesn't mean they get redemption, don't be fooled ya'll ;P
Everything is so rushed though, it shows. And I dislike how many characters don't act like they used to, like Varys. Why suddenly so careless? He was so good at acting from the shadows. And Dany hadn't done anything too bad yet either.
War is hell. This has been pretty important to R.R. Martin so I appreciate that they are honoring his message at least in this episode. Writing is still crap but at least I am getting some satisfaction from the end of the series.

I like how in true GoT fashion they choose one option which turned out to be bad Tyrion must be soo salty right now.
Although I don't know if mister "justice for all" is so much better...

Quote: Why suddenly so careless?
He only made one mistake - letting Tyrion know of his plans. Maybe he thought Tyrion would back him up, that seemed reasonable. They got used to talk to each other and sharing things. I didn't feel like it was that far fetched.

Not one bit. But going dracarys on the peasants after her enemies' surrender was still a bit too sudden This was more lolrandom than say dramatic. Tbh I don't even understand how she has so many fans after all these seasons. She should have died a random death long ago for pushing her luck repeatedly.

You know how the last jedi decided to take a dump on pre-established character building, lore and foreshadowing just to surprise the viewers? I can sense some parallels here.

My version of this episode would have been the same—except Drogon would have been armored courtesy of Gendry—until the Lannister army surrendered. Then I would have had Dany flying over the city and heading toward the Red Keep. Cerci would sit upon the Iron Throne one last time, with Jamie right next to her. With her crown on her head. She idly admires the throne, running her fingers along it. The castle would shake and rumble, debris would fall from the ceiling, some of the pillars would crack, one would fall. Tears begin to fill her eyes and she looks to Jamie. He grabs her hands and squeezes them. He smiles a small smile. Then the roof would crack and cave in, opening up and revealing Drogon with Dany on his back. Dany glares down at Cerci and Jamie and utters that fateful word. Dracarys. Drogon lets out a torrent of flames and burns Cerci and Jamie to ash while also reducing the Iron Throne to nothing more than molten slag. It was forged in dragonfire so shall it be undone by it. Thus this symbolizes Dany breaking the wheel. Because the Iron Throne was what kept the wheel spinning. That kept the game going. Without it the wheel is officially broken. Jon abdicates to Dany and remains King of the North. Boom. Episode end.

Lol Oddball13579, so you basically admitted you're salty because Danaerys character didn't turn out like you wanted her to be? Oh boohoo
Other then that what you wrote was basically the same, exept not burning the civilians which was needed to make D a Mad Queen and minus dragon armor which would be criticized to hell by fans. "News flash: local physicist says it would be impossible for a dragon to fly with such a heavy armor. Fans rage after Dothraki charge blunder and now this!" Oh wait, maybe they would be too pre-occupied with "Jaimes hand" affair... looky here
Didn't convince me, next!

Actually blob I'm salty because the past 7 seasons of her character development and the fact that they showed she was nothing like her father was just thrown out the window by ****** writers who wanted to throw the biggest plot twist into the show regardless of whether or not it would fit. The writers seem to think that the audience is as dumb as rocks.
Edit: Also, Drogon's armor would've been made outta Valyrian Steel, which is lighter than steel. Of course this is just my fanboy fantasy because the no one knows how to make Valyrian Steel anymore.

Well, GoT is about throwing plot twist out of nowhere. Did anyone expect Red Wedding? Remember how everyone was rooting for Rob to win his rebellion and then cried because they didn't have their "hero avanges his father" plotline? People have such short memories...
