new currency: Wildcards.
You get wildcards by
-winning Swiss
-achievements
-random chance when you buy packs for gold
-guaranteed when you buy packs for seals
-community event rewards
tiered pricing: the older the set, the cheaper the cards. Base set immediately available when you unlock the Altar, i. e. as soon as you get a wild card, newer series have to be unlocked via doing achievements first.
(My personal opinion: Altar sux)

I actually think it is quite solid, just to make some changes. For example, getting more Wildcards per Box bought, and getting different number of Wildcards from different packs. If the oldest set cost lesser than the new one, it would be natural if we get 2 Wildcards from newest Expansion pack and 1 from the older ones etc.
We will see how exactly it will work.

I think it is a reasonable system but it all depends on how common/rare the wilds are. For example let's take base boxes, how many boxes should you have to buy to guarantee getting a specific card? 1 would be nice, 2 would be the most. So in my mind if you buy 2 boxes you should get enough wildcards to guarantee any card in the set. By the screenshots so far that would be 8 wildcards for a base epic.

Which is great, because you will get ~8-10 wildcards from one Box, if I understood the guys from the forum correctly. The best thing is that it will randomly drop from packs got with gold, because I buy a lot of those packs.

I assume any "own" type achievements will get rewards but I assume that any others we will not get. Would be too hard to track retroactively. So many packs opened without wildcards lol.

Unfair, if I knew I had to hoard gold as well... I'd have hoarded gold.

People, get real, you are not supposed to get everything you want just by playing some and having fun - somehow those dudes have to kive off of something, so dropping them some coin for a good job isn't really that outrageous.

I really like the new system for getting wild cards...
It adds variety, so not just only one way to get them!
Been hoarding over 500,000 gold and 5,000 seals, so bring it on! Give me my Forgotten Nature (forgotten flame & might of nature)

From what I gather, packs from boxes bought with seals also guarantee a wildcard so buying 'the box' for example would give you 10 wildcards. Cost as I can see it so far from screenshots:
Base common=1, uncommon=3, rare=6, epic=8
VR common=2, uncommon=6, rare=10, epic=16
So buying a box of cards with seals is enough for a base epic or VR rare.

True, but seems that Void Rising and Herald of the Void have the same cost, since in that gallery we saw that Void Arbiter costs 10 wcs, and that is a rare card. And Lashing Lilam is common from Forgotten Wars and is costs 3 wcs.
So base set, VR and HotV - 2x base set, FW - 3x base set.
If it is true, then I think that those are great news, the price is pretty reasonable.
And I think that rare from base set will cost 5, not 6, since everything else from VR and HotV is 2x base set.
Still, all these are just speculations, they can change everything before the patch hits.

Oh I did not see any Void Arb pictures. There was a picture of the rare spider from base at a cost of 6, however, so barring changes that is the price of base rares.

First picture in the Gallery is the only one showing Altar of Wishes, and there is Void Arbiter in it.
And Hellfire Slave is common, and costs 2 wcs, which means that our theory about VR and HotV being 2x Base set is correct, at least for now.
About the Spider, I guess that you are talking about Moonsilk Spinner from Void Rising that is uncommon and costs 6?

We don't really know the costs of the base or void rare's as we can't compare to anything. The only thing we can confirm is what's given on that particular picture. It does seem that Void is double Base set but both have no rare cards to see....
Base set
Common = 1
Uncommon = 3
Rare = ?
Epic = 8
Void rising
Common = 2
Uncommon = 6
Rare = ?
Epic = 16
Herald
Common = 2
Uncommon = ?
Rare = 10
Epic = ?
Forgotten war
Common = 3
Uncommon = ?
Rare = ?
Epic = ?
And hero cards should be more expensive than epics too....am guessing 30 wild cards for a hero!

Void and Herald commons are the same at 2 wcards.
The rare cards of base and void would be lower than 10.
What's great is that base epics are only 8 wcards...would like to get some more banshees for my nec deck without buying silly base set packs!

First crads I plan to buy are Casandra's Imperial devotion and Celestial armor, to complete my base set.. 1000 seals is a nice kick for the new expansion
