poly, i sincerely apologize to you for voting you as the most depressing member. i hope you can forgive me. that was incredibly dense and unfeeling of me.
i'm pulling my recommendations out of this thread for now. i may be back some other day to post what i think, but it's doubtful.

Heh, men talk about girls really was one hell of a ride. I used to check it every once in a while and it didn't disappoint even once.
About poly, it is actually reasonable for anyone to vote him for most depressing poster. Making a depression thread is like painting a target on your chest, he's been pulling our strings all along. HE MIND CONTROLS YOU INTO VOTING HIM! And honestly? Hard as things may be for him - and they very much are - he is a cool and unique individual that has the strength to pull through. He is a subject of respect, not pity.

to joonas and sg, you have a point, somewhat. but it's a very minor point, and it's immaterial, really.
first off, i know this internet poll could be taken less seriously. indeed, many things can. but what i take seriously are the things that matter to me. i care much less about a poll, than callously and recklessly hurting someone who doesn't deserve it in the least(which, believe me, was not intentional, poly. it was an absolute lack of perspective on my part). i still feel deeply ashamed of myself.
this reminds me of that episode of south park, with captain hindsight. yeah, captain hindsight sprinkled his "what the **** was i thinking" dust on me, for sure.

Best Spammer: this category doesn't make sense. the CoC prohibits spamming. so what exactly defines "best"?
Best Thread: the "dark little exercise" thread. by far, the most interesting, and still, people here shy away from it, and how "in-depth" it actually is. they avoid it, and deny it's implications. it's a powerful thing, just sitting there, collecting dust.
Best Moderator: none. i would've said corribus, but he's let his emotions get in the way of his job in the past.
Most Interesting Member: blizz, easy. ohfor is a close second.
Happiest Poster: ghost. never gets upset even though people are rude to him.
Grumpiest Poster: macron, obviously. somebody(or some group here or elsewhere) really pissed him off. he almost never stops his onslaught.
Most Boring Poster: anyone who argues incessantly, without resolving any issues.

Weirdest thread maker: me. the "dark little exercise" thread. i haven't seen a thread like that, since that. the only threads that can even come close to relating to it, are the "dream" threads, and they're barely in the same league.

As we have done this before, I have decided to do my own type of awards.
Poster most likely to be a secret agent:- Elvin. I can see through his grey man persona. He knows too much. You can't be that good at everything and not be James Bond.
Poster most likely to be a really nice guy, despite his best efforts to hide it:- Blizz. I just know that in RL he is a sweetie and all the old ladies pinch his cheeks, because he has mowed their lawn.
HC's Font of All Knowledge: Adrius. Our shining star.
Mad Scientist:- Corribus. Come on, we've all thought this.
Highly functioning psychopath :- Joonas. Enough said.
Poster most likely to be an alien:- Ghost. It just makes so much sense then. He is trying to communicate.
Funniest Poster:- Bliz, Forfy, Fred. And I have been quite surprised by the new, funnier Mvass, which is a really nice change.
Poster most likely to be a RL snow and doesn't give a damn: Gootch - he makes no excuses.
HC's Clown :- Forfy. Guaranteed to do and say the strangest stuff when its least expected.
Poster who is genuinely trying to rule the world:- Xerox, do not underestimate him. History may very well condemn us for not killing him.

i understand why someone would think i was being arrogant in voting for my own thread, i'm not entirely without understanding of what is socially acceptable, and what is generally frowned upon. but, i AM cocky. and, i'm honest. and, i was just answering the question to the best of my knowledge.
just a quick question, i don't know, maybe you can help me, as i haven't been around as long as many others:
what other thread do you know, where you can peer directly into your own subconscious? you know, maybe see something you didn't realize was there? discover something entirely new about yourself, possibly? and, by the existence of said "new self knowledge", might one ascertain that such a thing could maybe, just maybe, be found in others besides myself? why do you think i posted such a thing in an international forum?
please, if there is any other thread that has the potential to impact someone on THAT level, i'd love to be steered in it's direction. all "entertaining myself on the internet" aside, seeing new and fun ways to delve into the human psyche is kinda my favorite pastime.
lastly, why do you think i reacted so strongly when corribus posted the link about atoms not being constant, but rather, replenishing themselves every so often, to where in a certain amount of time, the atoms that make you up, are ENTIRELY DIFFERENT from the ones that used to make you up? because for me, it shook my foundations. i had had no idea. the implications alone of this knowledge...
these are the things that interest me most, because discoveries like this, get a little closer to the CORE of people. this is why i replied as i did. and some people in the hc think i look like an ass because of it?
how would you value the opinion of "socially acceptable morality", from that standpoint?
