lol, i ain't even mad. just trying to explain my pov, man. i really couldn't understand the reaction to my choice of favorite thread, i was trying to wrap my head around it.
i guess i forgot that very few people took it seriously. elvin, yogi, noobx, and friendofgunnar all gave it a try.
and yes, i can be dramatic in order to make a point. i'm cool with that. i'm not quite sure about the "queen" though. court jester/executioner, maybe.

Oh joy. It's my 2nd favorite time of the year at HC, where I get to watch boys stroke each other's e-peen and not get called gay. Without much ado, here are the most deserving:
Best Poster Overall: JollyJoker
Best Newbie: Ghost
Best Spammer: Drakon-Deus
Best Thread: Men Talk About Girls by NoobX. A shame it was started so early in the year. Most of you don't have a 10 second attention span, much less a 10 month.
Best Moderator: Elvin
Most Interesting Member: Meroe, and only because I'm wondering if she's hot.
Happiest Poster: Ghost
Grumpiest Poster: Grumpiest? Really Gnomes. Is this what you consider to be creative? I nominate that you never run one of these things again. Btw, Elodin.
Most Boring Poster: Mvass.
Most Confusing Poster: Ghost. But if you close your eyes and repeat what he says to yourself, he's like the, "Shaka, when the walls fell" dude from Star Trek TNG.
Poster Who You'd be Willing to Room With: I second my own nomination that Gnomes be fired from running one of these. Wtf?! Uh, JoonasTo.
Poster that You Wouldn't Want to Meet in Battle: *Rolls his eyes* Anyone who's a spetnatz commando.
Poster Who You'd Most Willingly Have as Your King: ...there are none here I would call my king.
Poster Who You Think Should be a Mod: Adrius
Poster You'd Like to Know Better: Meroe. Yeah yeah yeah, I dropped the ball on that one Meroe.
Poster You Miss: Peacemaker, bort, Pandora, and Vlaad.
Best Inn Poster: Wha?
Best Tavern Poster: Who?
Best VW Poster: Come again?
Best Other Games Poster: Clearly this list was created by a member of the, "Everyone gets an award!" generation. Not answering.
Best Glade Poster: Up yours, Gnomes.
Best OSM Poster: Enough already! What ever happened to just thought provoking or funny?
Best talks like ghost: For someone who's been bullied, you seem a classic case of the victim becoming the victimizer.
Best thinks like celfius: Fred79.
The Most Naive Poster: Anyone under 25.
HC's craziest anime fan: Don't care.
Most depressing member: Fred79. PTSD's a snow brah. Here's one who's pulling for you.
Most memorable poster: The_Gootch, b*****s.
Most random poster: Ghost
Poster That You'd Like to Meet IRL: Vlaad
Most Active Poster: Mvass?
Weirdest thread maker: Fred79
Most deserving of -qp amnesty: Luc before Trog.
Edit: Added best of 2013.

if by "weirdest" you mean the "dark little exercise" thread, have you ever tried it? it's not bunk, man.

You'd better believe it Gootchie. You don't get poetry written for you, because you are a good cook or know how to change a spark plug.
Poster You'd Like to Know Better: Meroe. Yeah yeah yeah, I dropped the ball on that one Meroe.

Yes, it's horrible how people treat him and mods dash out penalties at him like a sport.

This is his new account - http://heroescommunity.com/member.php3?action=viewprofile&l=proposts&UserName=LucPatenaude&start=20 - I think all the penalties are on the old one. He is one of those people that was declared a scapegoat which members and mods could penalise and harass almost as much as they liked.

Not really, he was intentionally misleading newcomers. I don't care if someone doesn't make sense but things are different when one's posts can have a harmful effect. He also threatened a couple of members, myself included. Not that I hold a grudge mind you, he was fun in his own way. But in the end too much was too much.

That depends. I would not be surprised if some internet buddies who've never met you irl have taken a shot at professing their undying affection for you in written verse. It's easy to be a computer chair Cassanova than it is to recite in person.
On some levels, hotness is subjective. On other levels, it's making do with the best of very limited options. On another level, there's hotness in relation to one's peer group. There's hot, gamer hot, English hot, and English gamer hot. More English women look like Fergie than Pippa. More gamers look like contestants on The Biggest Loser than Melissa_X.
I will grant that men don't like to be out-mechanicked by a woman, or out any other activity we think we're supposed to be better at for that matter. Why? Because we're already intimidated by raw beauty, and anything more shrinks our egos and turns us off. If that's too wordy, it's cos' we're stupid.
