Thanks, but unfortunately the tabs did not survive the copy paste, so I cannot use this.
To investigate, I really need the template file, and ideally the generated map, too.

Also, I don't see any "-124" in your template, which means you did not disable the Spellbinder's Hat..

I play against AI on random maps only and in 1.6.0 when you generate a map and use starting artifact, I'll always get the necromancer amulet. I conclude that the random artifact starting mechanic is broken.

I cannot reproduce the bug. Which template did you use, and what is your environment (windows version or else) ?

Crashes nearby Necropolis

I had in a large szenario long periods without any crashes. I avoid using autosave but save at each beginning of my turns. When an action leads to a crash, it helped me just trying an older save even if it is the same setting.

At some points otherwise, it always crashes. It was so at a Necropolis on a shore. It crashed, even when I went in that direction or go with my cursor in that direction. When I startet the game without HD setting then, I could attack an hero in that town without a crash. But when I am going further to the west of that town , the game crashes even without HD.
When I stayed in that Necropolis and turned to HD-setting again, I couldn't load that game anymore, the same is nearby the town. In Non-HD-setting it worked, but I had to leave the neighborhood of that town (but not the West) to switch into HD sucessfully again.

At another point, it crashes every time when I walked in direction of a KI-hero. Turning into Non-HD I could attack him without problems.

I've found the following bug for the Mysticism secondary skill - its description on expert level states restoring only 5 spell points instead of 15.

I don't know exactly how to put this but I think there is something wrong with the movement of Rangers versus Knights and Battle Mages...
I've been doing the same path with the three of them hundreds of times while testing a map and both Knights and Battle Mages are able to walk a step longer but the Rangers start with a speed 6 creature (this is on grass) and the others with a speed 5 and in the case of Battle Mages without even the terrain bonus.
Sorry if I couldn't be more precise but it is happening.

That sounds very strange, I'm not saying you are wrong though, but are you sure they had the same creatures, Logistics, Pathfinding, artifacts etc.?

Resistance skill was banned and new skill Interference added.

I was just playing online and my hero got Resistance skill from scholar and this skill worked as it resisted slow during the battle.

Strange indeed, I tested this myself, and couldn't have the same results you did: in my game, Gundula walks as far as Zubin, and both Kyrre and Dessa can walk one step further. Do your characters have the same amount of movement points to begin with, and still walk further? I tried this first with wolfriders, and then with goblins. How did you test this exactly?

I was just playing online and my hero got Resistance skill from scholar and this skill worked as it resisted slow during the battle.


That indeed shouldn't have happened, but this doesn't tell them that much: What template you were playing?

They are never the first heroes I hire, so they came with one creature only and they are all at level one with the default secondary skills. I've done the path a thousand times by now. Strangely Calh, starting with one gog, also got the step further.

Hi Community,

I have a bug that wasnt critical in previous version of HotA but became critical in the new version.

Attempt to render a certain map tile in previous version resulted in "map drawing error": all objects disappear except roads, rivers and plains, only shadows from objects remain - as long as tile is on the screen. As soon as the screen leaves tile, everything is rendering normally.

Tile has nothing special in it, it's roughly 236*80:


In current version viewing this tile causes CTD. Error log is formed.

Did you just hire them from the tavern? I think the first day's movement points are calculated based on the normal starting army, e.g. Rangers fresh from the tavern are considered to be carrying dwarves (even if it's only 1 centaur). This is updated for the next day when you end turn after having bought the hero.
