Hey Storm, i don't think its about negativity, the game unfortunately has reached a plateau, which the dev's are trying to address by creating the bs2 patch and then a new update in a month or so.
the balancing of the cards has created the situation, but in all honesty, i believe this to be the natural progression of any card game - there will always be top decks.
i think the point made about new release and timing between is a valid concern, as literally even the dev's on twitch are calling DoC, DoK, duel of kelthor.
i would dig to see your posting on HIII

I'm not actually negative. I still play the game, But mostly Swiss and fun duels with friends..
It's not negative if it's the truth.

Wait, if it's going to be released in a month I'll skip this until next news, then I should be able to get a better idea of what is all about.

@Storm: if you check the beginning of this thread, you'll see all the cards that will be part of Base Set 2. Only 300 cards. There will still be the open format (all 650 cards), but probably will fade away at some point. BS2 will also release quite a number of campaigns, and a new format of menu's etc.
Wonder if it's still end of March that it will be released.

storm check out mmdocking.com choose cards and filter base set 2, you can see them all there

Thank you guys. I did it with jkk's Kelthor deck in jackpot, went up to 273 telo as well I think (first time I didn't suck in jp, even won against names like mazsparrow and mnm vs smarties).
I only plan to play on open so I only care about the changes to pao, da, Eleonore etc

The thing is open is boring now with the meta favouring only a few heroes (Spellthor, Ishuma creature, etc.) especially JP's....

@DD You have to take into consideration 2 facts:
- the standard when it comes out will have very limited cards thus strategies so repetitive as it is I think open format has its place;
- when a new expansion comes out it will not only improve the standard format but the open as well ( only thing about open in this case is that if there will be a new faction it will only have the number of creatures for the standard format and maybe it will be lacking in diversity of choices hero and creature wise in the open format).
