Whaaat? The very commander of the Donetskt separatists himself confirmed that they shot down a plane in that area, before conveniently deleting the post from his website. That commander allegedly happens to be an officer within the Russian military intelligence, which means Putin is his boss and atleast partially responsible for the crash. The crash and death of nearly 300 civilians, makes the separatists terrorists.

Even if the majority of people in the occupied areas supported becoming subjects to the Kremlin, I would not support the cause. The majority forcing individuals to submit to the oppressive Russian government, would be unjust tyranny. There's no doubt that those aligned with Russia perceives the national government in Kiev as the true tyrant, but the prospects for liberty (which is what matters to me more than international law or public opinion) are greater with Kiev than with Moscow.
Can you use your brain for a change? What proof do you have that the separatists shot the plane at this point? I mean, proof like... evidence or something. Not "my local news agency quoted CNN, who quoted the Ukrainian government, who quote the Pentagon who said that the terrorists shot down the plane like 1 hour after the incident"? At this point nobody has even began to seriously investigate the matter, let alone prove something but maybe you have access to other sources? It is quite possible that the separatists shot down the plane but if you claim for certain that they did at this point, you are proving that you have just soaked propaganda and nothing else.

Also, what terrorists? What did they bomb? Who did they kill outside their own territory? What in their agenda make them terrorists? If I come to your town and start bombarding it with howitzers and rocket artillery, then you shoot back at me, are you a terrorist too?

About the US involvement and the "liberty" crap... I won't comment. It's pointless.

very true. this is all everyone(but the people who did it) know at the moment. wild speculation, pointing fingers, etc. it happens every time there is a tragedy. god, the media of the world make me sick. bunch of fear-mongering, propaganda-spreading parasites; feeding off the backs of the general population, and more often than not poisoning their hosts with bull****. the media everywhere is more like a reality show, than reality itself. it's as bad as gossip tabloids. what's worse, is that people actually listen to them, especially when it comes to matters like this. fFs.

This should be interesting, the black-box-flight recorder from the plain was recovered by separatists and handed over to Malaysian authorities. As they're reported to be in good condition hopefully we'll find out who shot the plain down. (as I understand it if it was tampered with data could only be removed, but the data on it cannot be fabricated)

You can not find out who shoot a plane from a black-box. I dont even know why there is such media about black box, because it will show nothing related to who shoot it down.

it's possible. from my understanding, it records positioning, as well as electrical function; and probably other things as well. i'm not holding my breath, though. it could be just another piece of propaganda, meant to steer public opinion. you never know.

They are wrong, and should under no circumstances be allowed to infringe on it.

"they" are wrong because there are other values, and that everyone has their own feelings towards each? that's the point i was making; not that liberty isn't a good value.

They have bad values. That's enough for me.
And anybody who acts on those values, should they infringe on liberty, ought to be destroyed. It's a simple matter of self-defense.

You can't cooperate with another without some sort of compromise, that or one party must dominate the other, either way there's a restriction on freedom, thus liberty. Then again, one might consider the desire to limit one's liberty to be an expression of freedom, not that it changes anything.

Personally I believe that absolute liberty is only ethically attainable by hermits. The other way is to make yourself some leader that reigns supreme, but that comes at the expense of other people's liberty. In itself it's not bad, but it would contradict your ideals.

/off-topic/

unless you can get an ok from a landowner to live on their property free of charge(which will not likely happen), you cannot be a hermit. all land is owned by someone, who has to pay taxes on it. i've already looked into it, as it was something i actually considered years and years ago. the reality that you are forced to participate in society, sucks.

the only realistic way i can see such a thing being allowed, is having a means of trade set up(furs, wood, etc). the problem with that is, your resources will eventually run out.

of course, there are hermits about, but once they get found out, they get moved out. so if you can find a cave, and stay elusive enough(and not starve or die of exposure, hypothermia, etc; you might be able to pull it off. but my guess is you will eventually be found. i've read cases about people being found, who have lived on their own for 20 years. they ended up in jail, if i remember right. the guy stealing peanut butter and other junk food from campsites to survive, is one i remember.
