| From Elvin's trivia thread:
Quote:Within their ranks exists a matriarchal order called the Light Weavers, whose task is to seek the newborn Light Elementals and weave them into sacred cloths that will be used to create garments for the heroes of the Empire or bind them into brilliant stained glass that will decorate the cathedrals erected in homage to Elrath.

I was a bit surprised. Wouldn't binding elementals like this be somewhat immoral?

 Would it?
Elementals are, to my knowledge, not sentient. They are physical manifestations of elemental magic. Intrinsically linked to the god of their element, they are there to do the will of the god. if priests of a god binds elementals of that god to things, it is done with the god's blessing or else they would have failed.

That doesn't dispute my other assertion though, that the binding of elementals does not happen without divine consent or perhaps divine negligence.

I would disagree even here. Sure some situations can do this, but especially Wizzards and Necromancers don't care so much about getting  the god's aproval.
For example Rakshasas which are imbuded by air elementals.

Ylath is an example of divine Negligence, the god of air is notorious for giving no sh1tz.
As for Necromancers, I have no knowledge of them (mis)using elementals for such purposes.

Quick question - what kind of demon exactly is Deleb? She has a rather slim, humanoid build, so one would assume she's a succubus and yet it's still clearly stated she's not - why like this?

It was Biara that had the Griffin heart (not truffle
) used on her, not Deleb. Deleb played no role in campaign of Heroes V, excluding a small episode in "A Flamboyant Exit", where she served as a mini-boss against Zehir. |

oh yeah, read that wrong, lol.

anyway, Deleb is totally a demon lord (or succubi, i don't know), right? i mean, she can't have lived as a human in the h6-5 time-frame, now could she? totally reborn as a demon or somesuch.

| I wouldn't call her a human - she seems to have pointy ears. Still, I like to ignore her biography and simply assume that she is a succubus regardless.
I'm wondering if that face is her own though. As in, is it something she keep from her earlier days or did she literally attach another person's face to her own?

hence a part of Asha. And despite being an snow about methods, her objetives arent bad.

She isnt a succubus, her bio states it. She was a servant from the Overlord of Pain before Kha-Beleth rise

 Yes, she's totally human:

It's Heart of Nightmares card, which supposes to take place in same time, when Sveltana brings up Mother Namtaru to Al-Betyl (ca. 505 YSD).

 EDIT:
However it's true that Deleb isn't Succubus:

HoMM 5 said:One of the generals charged to refit Kha-Beleth's prison to better suit his own needs, the demoness Deleb developed an intricate knowledge of machines. Nicknamed "Meat Grinder" by her detractors, Deleb puts unquestioning faith in her own engines of war rather than trusting to fickle Demon troops, whose loyalty is a constant balance between terror of their masters and terror for their lives.
